Salon Nordine & Dayspa

Nordine Salon has a classy but unpretentious atmosphere as everyone in the salon is so nice and friendly. I have been going to one of their great stylists, Claudia, for over 20 years because my hair is difficult and she always manages to style it perfectly and introduce me to just the right products for my hair or lack thereof. I often tell her she's a genius because she seems to work miracles.

Definitely recommend seeing Vanna! She gave me a beautiful highlight and a flawless haircut. Very skilled stylist and great atmosphere. First time in my life I got exactly what I want. Everyone I met with is very friendly. You can tell they truly care about their clients, and want you to leave feeling your best.

Fantastic experience! Wonderful staff, great hair skills. They were incredible in accommodating a tough situation. My mom has brain cancer, and her hair was quite knotted from surgery and weeks of recovery. Her incision and skull are still healing, so it's not possible to pull at all on her hair. She is also in chemo and suffering from nausea, so it's hard to schedule things far in advance.

They got us appointments on extremely short notice and spend 90 minutes patiently working on my mom's hair. They even fit me in too - and we both love our haircuts! Absolutely recommend both for customer service and skill.

I want to say what an amazing experience I had at Salon Nordine on April 2, 2022. I apparently had made an appointment online for 4/1/22 by mistake and showed up for my appointment 24 hours late on 4/2/22 at 2 p.m. I was so freaked out because I made the appointment for an up-do and I was supposed to go to a special event on 4/2/22 and it was a Saturday night and the salon was totally booked.

To my surprise they found a way to squeeze me in. Claudia B. went to work and made me feel like a movie star. At one point I had three women working on my hair at the same time just to make it happen. They gave me a shampoo, blow dry, and then went to styling my hair in an updo. The receptionist/manager was going to squeeze me in for a shampoo blow dry/style but when Claudia heard the story as I sat in her chair, she insisted that I get what I wanted and enlisted another stylist, Demi, to help her out and I got my updo! Demi was so great.

She did a beautiful job. I felt so special and I was really thrilled. Great customer service. I would highly recommend Claudia! Also, I love, love, love, Seda E. who works here and has done my nails for years. She previously worked at Red Door Spa and I followed her to Salon Nordine. Both SEDA and Jenny who do nails are very very good at their jobs.

I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks Salon Nordine for being awesome. This place is a little pricey, and considered more of a luxury brand, but you do get what you pay for. Excellent work done by professional. Thanks

Vanna was AMAZING! She did a color correction on my orange/red blotchy hair and created a beautiful ash/honey blond balayage with dark babylights. It was IMPECCABLE and she was so kind and patient. Her talent is unmatched and I'm forever a believer in her ability to do anything with color. Definitely a new loyal customer!

Claudia is a top notch stylist and color expert. She treats your hair as if it were her very own. She is extremely kind, accommodating, professional, incredibly experienced and is just all around everything you could ask for in a stylist. Wherever she has worked during her career, other stylists learn from and admire her talented work. She doesn't have an ego either and always want you to be happy with your hair. I have been going to Claudia for almost 20 years. She really is the best in the DMV. My mom, my sisters, and my daughter go to Claudia! ( we all say we are addicted to Claudia;) She cuts, colors and blowdrys my hair. Every time amazing! but the best thing about Claudia She really cares about you and always gives100%!

Demi was amazing! She took my "inspo" photo and transformed my dry, damaged hair into a beautifully blended, natural balayage that was exactly what I wanted for my upcoming wedding hair color. She gave good recommendations and showed great knowledge of color theory and what would work well with my natural skin and hair tones. Thank you!

I am so thankful for Salon Nordine and for Demi! I had gotten a balayage ombre at a different salon the day before in preparation for my engagement photoshoot. The stylist at the other salon, however, made my curtain bangs way too light, streaky, and it looked super uneven compared to the rest of my hair. I was horrified! I reached out to Salon Nordine the next morning and they were able to accommodate a same-day appointment for me.

I was super nervous but Demi did an amazing job! She was able to tone down the color in a way that blended in perfectly with the rest of my hair. It was exactly what I wanted and thanks to Demi, I am ready for my photoshoot! I definitely recommend coming to Salon Nordine!

Recently moved and was in search of a new place to get my highlights and haircuts and this place is outstanding. It was very clear from making my apt over the phone to attending it they are extremely skilled and are very kind and genuine. Claudia did a fantastic job really listened to my concerns and what I wanted and were very attentive the entire time I was there. The owner Nordine was around and introduced himself and was a pleasure to meet. Definitely give this local business a try!

Demi did a fantastic job on my hair. She really took her time, not only making sure I was comfortable, but also making sure we were on the same page in terms of exactly what my color expectations were since red hair is more difficult. My hair color turned out absolutely amazing! Plus, she did a great job on the haircut she gave me as well. 10/10 will be coming back to see her!

Loved my experience and hair color/style with Vanna! I was overdue for balayage and a cut and she did an amazing job - exactly what I wanted and hoped for. She was really careful to get all the layers (and I have a lot of hair) even though it took extra time.

Came here for a wax with Quy and she was amazing. Highly recommend her for any of your waxing needs. It was the least painful waxing experience I've had. She also does facials so I will be returning to try one soon!

This was my first time here at the salon and also my first facial experience! Quy Was the sweetest woman I think I've ever met in the spa industry! She welcomes you as if you were her own child, and gives you all of the information you need! I got the deep cleansing facial, and it wasn't that painful at all. I also recently have a nose piercing and because it is nearly done, I cannot take it out. This did not stop her from doing an amazing job around the nose area! I recommend Quy for any of your spa needs!

I had the pleasure of working with Vanna today and she left me speechless. Literally in tears. I couldn't believe the transformation she did to my brittle, damaged and orange hair done by a different salon. I went in with the mindset of "it can't get worse then this, " but I'm so thankful that I was blessed with Vanna as my hairstylist.

Awful. I asked for a long, angled bob, that still grazed my shoulders. Julia did not listen well at all. Instead an angled cut, she cut it the same length all the way around. The layers were pretty basic and not well blended. When I told her it was too short and that it was supposed to be an angled cut, she said "well I wish I could put it back but I can't." So now I have to wait for months to grow it back out and get the hairstyle I actually asked for.

Definitely will not be returning to Salon Nordine again. The only reason I give it more than one star is because the service provided at the front desk and by the woman that shampooed my hair was great.

Amazing service! Quy was great. She made sure i was enjoying the facial and had a nice chat to help me relax. Could have used additional quite time but she seemed talkative so I went along. I upgraded from European Facial to Deep Clean -- which included extraction but thts it. I was expecting a few additional steps. Started with the cleanse (the steamer did not work untill the end), face and neck massage (which was good), extraction, a mask and then serum and moisturizer. The process took ~45 mins but thats all was covered. Good spa. I might visit again. It was the only spa available for facials at a day's notice in the entire area.

I had such a great first experience here and will definitely be returning! Vanna was amazing and so sweet! She did my hair exactly how I pictured it! I left so happy!

Julia did an amazing job cutting my hair! Prices are very reasonable! I think I paid $87.00 for a hair cut which is better than the fairfax salon prices!

As your Red Door Whisperer, I want to share for Red Door / Mynd clients that many of your favorites are here now and they brought along the product lines and techniques. I don't have the comprehensive list and they are not yet listed on the website as of today. The nail area has been expanded now, moving a wall to make more room. the salon is taking steps to keep everyone spaced out as much as possible and using the highest standard of safe practices. The team is cleaning more than usual, many are double masked and have the additional face shield.
