This business boast of their natural hair style skills, but they were not on display with the stylist we were given. I asked her several questions about her methods for hair detangle after braids were taken out. We arrived with the braids out. She used an old out dated method pulling out the precious hair we have been regrowing for the last year. Probably should have left then, but gave her the benefit of the doubt.

In the end her 2 strand twist were awful while she talked to my child about a relaxer "next time". We were there fir NATURAL hair care skills. Good bad or indifferent that conversation was not her place to discuss with my daughter. By the time she got in the car she was in tears. An 11 year old shouldn't leave the stylist in tears. Her 1st comment was I'm never going back there. Make sure of the s tylist before you spend your $65 + tip.

Nicole has been my stylist for over 4 years! Every appointment I have my hair is always gorgeous . Not only does she take her time to consult you in regards to what you want to achieve she can and will also mix a custom color for your hair that will leave you feeling like a new you! If you have an opportunity to ever be in Duluth and need that look that Nicole or any of the other professional and highly qualified Master stylists can give you won't be disappointed! I will never have to find another salon or stylist ever!

I have been to Salon Baptiste on several occasions to get different hairstyles, and each time my hair has came out looking better than expected! Pernell Baptiste never disappoints; she's my go to stylist. She's very professional, manner-able, and has great customer service. The prices are also greatly priced. If you decide to try them out, you won't be dissatisfied!

I've had my hair done by the owner of the shop and also the daughter, Pernel. I do a horrible job taking care of my hair, but they are patient with my and talk to me about caring for my hair so that it will grow and flourish. I've gone to other shops and then come back to Baptiste to fix the color or the breakage. They do a miraculous job. More importantly they are patient and knowledgeable about all kinds, textures, and grades of hair. My hair is long and healthy! I can't praise them enough!

Critical: Punctuality Waited for an hour to get seated, once sat I was in the chair from 11:15am to 5:30pm my hair came out not how I wanted. The lady was pulling on my hair after it was bleached with the comb. Will never return to this horrible location. To me they can only handle African American hair and not Indian hair. This salon is one of the BEST! Clean, punctual and professional! I have been traveling all the way from NY to this salon for years! Pernell has been helping me transition to natural while still maintaining my length and I am SO in love with the results! She also did an AMAZING job with my mom's haircut! From the first time I stepped into Salon Baptiste -and every time since- I have been greeted like a friend. This sets the mood for a relaxing and fun experience. Then moving on to a relaxing yet invigorating shampoo -Amazing!- and conditioning treatment to meet specific needs of my hair and scalp. I had to take the time out of my busy schedule to really express how amazing this salon is. The moment I got there, Pernell was so outstanding. She greeted me with a big smile and welcomed me in. I had a great feeling right away. When I started explaining what was going on with my hair, she immediately had the cure for it and she delivered! My hair was transformed from dry, brittle and shedding to soft, shiny and bouncy!

Believe me when I say I'm a very picky person, I am. If my hair's not done right I will go home and try to fix it myself. It was perfectly done!
