I have been going to J Scott Salon for many years. Jeff is the best hair stylist I have ever gone to and there were many. My hair continues to look beautiful with a very current hairstyle. The salon itself is so cute and the staff is very knowledgeable and kind. I would recommend this salon to anyone who wants their hair to look it's best!

I really enjoyed my haircut experience! Tanya gave me a great haircut and made me feel like I've been coming there for years, even though it was my first time. Great atmosphere and if you're lucky, you might even see their puppy in the salon!

Saw Jeff on the 15th for my usual monthly appointment. As per every time I see Jeff, his work is exceptional and I walk out feeling confident and beautiful. I have been a natural dark brunette my whole life. I am older now and my white roots require touching up every month, as they have the past 27 years and has Jeff been doing for me for that period of time.

He has been my stylist for the last 30 years, and my root outgrowth has required I see Jeff every 3 weeks. We had a lengthy discussion and decided to try changing my hair color to a lighter shade so my roots wouldnt be so noticeable, and maybe my visits to every 4 weeks from 3. Long story short, over a very gradual time period, I went from very dark to a very light blonde.

This is the last hair color I ever expected to see me in. Its not only a gorgeous shade of blonde, but people who know me well or meeting me for a first time, think I have always been a natural blonde. The transformation is astonishing and to anyone who is thinking of making a drastic change in hair color, it can be done but only by this man or a stylist trained as he is.

I am so happy with the way I look. It has allowed me to grow old gracefully. My white roots blend in with the blonde so I look like Ive had hi-lights. My visits can be every 4 weks instead of 3. I drive in from Wisconsin, but Id drive from the moon to see Jeff and Tania if I had to more frequently. Jeff, you are fabulous as is your partner Tania, and I am comfortable with Tania working on my head if Jeff could not. Jeff, I cant thank you enough for taking care of my head all these years and I hope for many more. Just like a fine wine, you are perfection. Thank you and Tania for your service.

I cannot say enough great things about this salon! It is warm and friendly, and Jeff and Tania truly listen to what you want to do with your hair. Tania did a great job with my color, which is not easy, and I just felt at home from the minute I walked in. Plus I love the rescue dogs! In my opinion, anyone who rescues has an extra big heart! I will be returning to J Scott Salon for sure. I would give them 10 stars if I could!

Tania is absolutely wonderful! I had not had my hair done professionally and wanted a change she did a beautiful deep red and foilage highlights. She talked me through the whole process and asked lots of questions to know exactly what I wanted. She answered all my questions with products and how she styled my hair throughly. I have gone back twice since my first visit and enjoy my experience each time I go. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment with her!

I was looking for a smaller salon during the pandemic and is always important to me to shop locally when i can. I have been very pleased with all three of the hair cuts I have received. J. Scott makes me feel as though my satisfaction is paramount. The price is comparable to other area salons but the service and attention makes it more valuable.

I went there to get a perm on my straight hair. The salon is really nice and the people are very friendly but from the beginning the girl who did rollers in my hair did them reeally lloose and seemed to have trouble getting rollers to stay in so she used sticks. My hair is now more wavy then permed and when I sweat it gets straight again but now it also gets frizzy.

I would recommend anyone trying this salon to only book with the owner. He definitely knows what he's doing. I waited 72 hours after perm to wash my hair so lack of curl is not from me. I followed all instructions. I will try another salon next time when my hair can be permed. The only good part is tHat my hair is not damaged at all so hopefully I won't have to wait long to try perming my hair again.

Needed a haircut and wanted to go local. So on Yelp, I found J. Scott Salon. Got a great haircut from Tanya and enjoyed the lovely surroundings including the owner'a dog, George. Will be coming back! Very pretty, professional salon in Long Grove.

Great little straight forward salon. I have gone a couple times and had my hair cut by Meghan. She cuts my hair in about 20-30 mins - including a wash and does a fantastic job. I am accustomed to Aveda and other higher end, higher priced salons and I feel I'm getting the same quality here for under 30 bucks!

I initially went in to try a new salon after having moved from the city. Megan fixed a bad color I had gotten - and when I say fixed I mean she nailed it. Completely corrected a horrible dye job someone else had given me and put me back almost to my natural color. She also has given me some great haircuts. Super friendly.
