True Blue Salon

I wrote a review that I put under the wrong salon! Just to be clear, the Kennedy that works at True Blue was great! I had written that I got a bad haircut from her but it wasn't her, it was a salon when I briefly lived in Colorado! YOUR Kennedy gets 5 stars from me from when I lived in Nashville and went to her. My apologies! She was awesome!

Jacqueline is the best hair dresser and is just so knowledgeable on hair/hair products. I have blonde hair, so I have to make sure I'm taking care of it after my salon appointments. The "Heart Of Glass" product line has SAVED my hair. It helps keep it heathy and recover from all bleach. After Covid my hair started falling out more than usual, so I started using the natural tech energizing line, and it helped thicken my hair back up. Jacqueline always has my products in stock too, so I never gave to worry about running out! I can't say enough good things about this salon. The salon is kept so clean and just always a great environment. I would never go anywhere else!

I wish I had known about this place before. Chloe did my partial highlights, she was super friendly, attentive to my requests and really did a great job. Cullen cut my hair: he was also super friendly, quick and I appreciated the fact that he knows how to handle curly hair. I also like the promo for first time customer. Pricing was good. Would recommend to anyone.

I've lived in Nashville for almost 3 years now, so I figured it was time to find a salon here. This location is convenient for me & I saw that they have a discount for first time clients, so I figured I would try it. When I called to make an appointment, the employee was extremely helpful in explaining the different levels of stylists at Aveda salons & their costs.

The salon itself is very pretty & well kept. The woman who cut my hair was super sweet & made great conversation. I thought she did a good job with the cut, but I'm also the most low maintenance person on earth when it comes to my hair. I'll probably return & make an appointment with someone at the lowest (cheapest) level next time.

Chloe is AMAZING! I went in desperately needing a haircut, but also wanting to mix things up with some color. I showed her a couple of pics, just for inspiration. I cannot tell you how much I loved the results! Not to mention, she was extremely friendly, and I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her throughout the process. Highly recommend!

Came here for my long awaited post-pregnancy cut. I've got thick curls and have found that Aveda salons are generally reliable for a solid cut/style. Unfortunately, true blue didn't meet expectations. I was scheduled for a 15minute consultation with the curly hair specialist prior to my cut to discuss the "plan". Ultimately, I wound up with a very generic cut and basically all of the things that I had asked her NOT to do (triangle cut, longer in front, etc etc; all of the FAILs from prior cuts).

She kept trying to fix the situation, but I realized that 1. she just wasn't truly comfortable cutting curls and 2. all my hair would be chopped off by the time she finished. I cut my losses and left; a bun isnt so bad for a few months. Two stars for fair prices and kind staff. Sadly wont be returning and cant recommend for curls

Went here randomly looking for a quality haircut. Audrey gave me one of the best haircut experiences I have had. She was very polite, conversational, and made sure I was getting exactly what I want. I will be coming back to see Audrey, thanks!

Be weary of this place. I asked for a trim and she cut 6-8 inches off my hair before I could say anything. She was in a bad mood because one of her clients had moved to a different stylist.

Love this salon! Great atmosphere. I love that the stylists use Aveda products. My stylist, Colyn, does such a great job! I get my cut and color done by him and he always kills it!

I got layers a month ago at another salon and they just weren't what I wanted. I went to a different salon and they couldn't make the repair I wanted. I was even offered extensions, which I politely declined. I came here hoping they could give me what I wanted, and I was told it was *impossible* by both my stylist and the owner (who wasn't especially nice about it).

My stylist was at least understanding about my desire to keep looking for an answer. We parted amicably. I then found an amazing salon on the same day with a skilled hairdresser who performed absolute magic and knew some amazing techniques. Moral of the story is, don't take no for an answer and don't give up on finding talent! I also ended up waiting here for about 20 mins past my appointment time.

I don't like that they require you to store your credit card number to secure an appointment. I just see that as not very safe. They require masks, and I'm not going to say anything bad about that, but I don't prefer one anymore now that vaccination is more rampant. I'm not judging the policy, but you should know it going in.

Just left this salon and I'm extremely satisfied with the blowout I got by Colyn! He was such a sweet soul who managed to tame my god awful thick, coarse hair and make it beautiful for my evening in Nashville! I am from out of town and last minute flew here with no hair tools and was pleasantly surprised to get a same day appointment on a Saturday AM at True Blue. The atmosphere is nice and every employee was extremely kind and friendly! This will be my go to spot for blowouts whenever I'm in town.

Worst hair cut I've ever got. I had healthy long hair with long layers in them. I told the stylist I wanted to keep the length and add more layers. She proceeds to tell me that wouldn't look good and I needed to shorten my hair to make that look good. She said just 2 inches. 5 inches later my hair goes from lower back to bra height. And I have NO layers.

My hair went from wow to bleh thanks to her. The whole reason I chose aveda was for the scalp massage which I received none of. Just overall really sad about my hair. It's been a really long time since I was this unhappy with a service and it's overall disappointing for the money you spend there.

I had a wonderful first haircut at True Blue Salon with stylist Adri. I was greeted with a warm welcome and introduced to my stylist who did a wonderful job with my cut and provided a great overall experience. She also guided me to a shampoo and conditioner that would work with my hair type. She was not pushy with products and I wanted to purchase a shampoo and conditioner from Aveeda because their products have great results and are high quality. Check in and out process was easy and they set up my next appointment for me.

Just moved to Nashville and chose this salon based on the ease of booking online, the fact that it's an Aveda salon, its proximity to my apartment in the West End, and the transparent pricing! Booking was very easy online and I liked that you could pick which level of stylist you wanted based on price. My stylist Sydnie was friendly and gave me the exact haircut I asked for. Overall, the salon is sleek, with mostly black and white/chrome decor, and they even have Dyson hair driers which makes it feel extra fancy. New guests can receive 20% off their first service (minimum of $45 I believe). Would recommend and will come back!

They did a horrible job on my color. Absolutely did nit know what they were doing, and that goes for the person who did my hair and the owner. Absolutely horrific.

I just moved to Nashville and found this salon on Yelp. Definitely took a leap of faith and i'm SO GLAD I CHOSE HERE! Super reasonable price, college girl approves, amazing social distancing, temp at door, masks on for client and stylist the whole time. I hadn't been to get my haircut in almost 7 months when I finally sucked it up and decided that I must get back in with Kennedy for a cut and color. I was very nervous about being in a salon with COVID around. I must say that I was very impressed with the safety measures that are being done at True Blue. I felt safe and never felt that my health was at risk. It was great to be back (even though my COVID mullet had actually grown out).

Meghan did an amazing job with my pixie cut. I usually go home to wash and redo my hair after haircuts but I didn't have to! She listened to what I was hoping for and didn't push a bunch of products on me that some salons do. I left feeling confident and happy with my cut and a few days later feeling the same. I was desperate for a haircut and found that True Blur had great reviews. I booked an appt with Carney, she was so sweet and the salon was very clean. They were definitely following cdc guidelines to keep their clients safe.

Thanks to the team here at True Blue for keeping the salon so safe during this time. The extra precautions were greatly appreciated. You guys really made my experience top notch after calling around town for a post-quarantine haircut (I had a short time window) and you guys fitting me in. Carney was so fun and did an amazing job. I booked a color that day and was thrilled to be back. Looking forward to coming back soon. I finally found my new salon home!

Very poor judgement in business practice today. I have been supporting this business for years and today I was charged for a full visit I could not keep due to emergency work issue. They get a two only because their staff is awesome. Sadly, I will be transferring services. This is a time to take care of each other, not take advantage at every opportunity. Half charge with a nice tip for the stylist should have been more than acceptable.

I have been going to Katelyn Baucom for a couple of years now and she is beyond amazing. She has done color, cut, and extensions for me and every single time I am beyond happy! Beyond that, Katelyn and Samantha create such a welcoming and fun environment in the salon. I can't recommend either of them enough!

I had just some extra time in Nashville and decided to get an over due hair cut. I find True Blue Salon on Yelp. I was introduced to Brandi who is a master in the hair cutting field. Everything from entering the place, getting a head massage and my hair shampooed were great introduction to the place. It is clean, has beautiful photographs everywhere. Brandi did a great job getting to know me and was willing to give her opinion rather just ask me what I wanted.

I feel that she "got" me. We ended up as friends. In addition to all that, since the Salon also has some cosmetic products I was able to get a lip glass and brow pencil to complete the image. Over all, just a great experience!

I have gone to True Blue for all of my haircuts for the four years I have lived in Nashville. I am a student so I wait until they send out the $20 "miss you" coupon. When I called recently to schedule an appointment and told them I had a coupon, suddenly they refused to honor it. It was not expired and I had just received it in my inbox the day before.

The manager basically said that because I only come in once or twice a year and use a coupon, that they will not honor the coupon (and they do not need my business). Well I will be taking my business elsewhere.
