I realize I live in Montana where hair talent may be different but I've never had such a fabulous haircut. Sara absolutely gave me the best haircut of my life. Not only did she do what I really wanted despite a rather fuzzy picture I showed her, she created a much better style for me. And she was really funny.we laughed alot. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

I had an appt with Karen recently. She gave me one of the best haircuts of my life (cutting off about 8 inches and giving me a fun free flowing style) and was super sweet. She asked poignant questions. We shared ideas and ultimately I trusted her to do what she was going to do. I love the end result! I will definitely be a loyal customer.

Carina at Magnolia Ave Salon is WONDERFUL! I went in today for my first professional haircut since a bad experience 9 months ago. I brought pictures, but she understood exactly what I was looking for by talking through it with her. She customized the style to best flatter my features, and desire to continue growing my hair out. She was a delight start to finish, just talkative enough, and incredibly warm, funny and welcoming.

Great scalp massage while shampooing, good advice for styling, and beautiful soft layers. What's not to like? She is new at the salon, so she is less pricey and more available than other stylists, but I suspect she will fill up soon. The salon is beautiful and clean, with large open open windows, and a friendly staff. I will be back!

I just moved to Marin and I needed a haircut a few months ago. I booked at Magnolia with the only stylist that had lot of openngs.so I am guessing she was new. She did a great cut. Since I always book at the last minute, I went online again to try to book her and saw that she wasn't there anymore which was a shame since she was good. So I booked, I assume, with the new person again since in great salons like this the stylists get booked way in advance.

But since this is a high end salon, I assumed everyone who worked there had to be good. My haircut was with Carina and let me tell you. SHE DID NOT DISAPPOINT. She actually gave me the best cut of my life.and I usually hate the cuts and need a day or two to get used to them when I get home. I have found my dream stylist.now that the cat is out of the bag, I hope I can still get a booking with her! Carina.you rock

After 8 years having shoulder length hair, I made an appointment at Magnolia for a pixie cut. I just needed something new. The stylist was out sick, but they rebooked me at the same time with Karen, the salon owner. I had a picture, but told Karen to do whatever she thought best. She's super busy but remained focused on me for over an hour. I left with probably the best haircut I've ever had!

But I also want to mention Carina who washed my hair, because it was such a relaxing experience; I loved the hot towel on my neck! It's an understatement to say I'm a very happy new client at Magnolia!

I had partial head of highlights done by Karen today and she did an incredible job, beyond my expectations. I am totally thrilled, my hair looks beautiful. Karen is a master of her craft. The salon itself has a fun yet upscale environment and I find the prices are fair. I'll be going back for sure!

Kellie is amazing with her coloring skills and listening to what customers want. It's always such a pleasure to have Kellie do my hair. My former hair salon went out of business so I was forced to get someone new which is never easy. And what a find! Thank you for making me look and feel fabulous! Also, want to recognize and commend Leah! I always want Leah to do my shampoo, cuts and blow-dry styling. It's always so relaxing and I feel like a million bucks when I'm done. And, her work on my head lasts for days!

Dayna is an absolute gem! My hair needed some serious TLC after the pandemic and she brought it back to life. She gave me beautiful feathered layers and an all around perfect cut. She's also just great to chat with! Fab salon experience starting a seamless check in and friendly customer service all around. It's a beautiful, clean space, plus they also carry great products. I highly recommend Dayna and Magnolia Ave!

I am completely disturbed by something that was witnessed in this salon. A customer was sitting in the chair for her haircut. Her mask was on but didn't cover her nose completely. I assume the owner, came over berated and screamed at her and said have to leave if you don't pull up that mask! This not only was offensive, but made everyone uncomfortable. I know I for one will never go there again.

I just moved to Marin county from SF, and was recommended by a friend to visit Magnolia. I actually had a botched highlight done last week, so I called Magnolia in a panic for some help. The owner of the salon (Karen) ended up doing my highlight and OH MY GOSH, it is incredible. She was quick and efficient, yet still payed attention to every single detail.

Each highlight is perfectly placed and the color is beautiful. I've honestly never been so happy with my hair! Highly recommend the salon, and specifically recommend Karen. Also, Chloe blow-dried and curled at the end and did a great job!

Amazing salon, truly a dream come true. I had an amazing haircut by Lucy, after my hair was butchered with an absurd amount of layers by a previous salon. Lucy tidied it right up, and my hair actually looked longer after the 2 haircut, because she removed the dead ends. Kellie is the most talented colorist ever, and she has a gift of knowing exactly what you are looking for- no more chair anxiety here!

She pulled up her phone and made me point to the exact shade I was going for, which really gave me confidence, as sometimes it is hard to communicate what you want without pictures. Kellie also gave me a great trim, and people keep commenting on how thick and full my hair looks!

I had the best hair day with Karen. She took me from a light brown root with 8 months of regrowth to the blonde of my dreams. To achieve, Karen did a mix of balayage, foils, and gave my hair TLC with a conditioning treatment. The salon is clean and well lit, staff are friendly, attentive and go the extra mile to perfect your hair cut, color and style. They use Kerastase and Olaplex products. Recommend and so glad I found a salon close to home.

Karen Davis has been my stylist for several years and it's about time I leave a review. Karen's expertise and talent is second to none. After 37+ years of working in this craft (I can confirm those years because we graduated high school the same year), she knows exactly what needs to be done to someone's locks from a mile away. I am a very easy-going client.at least I think so, but when it comes to coloring my hair, I'm impossible to please.

I don't have pretty gray so I won't go there and if I see one hint of "brassy warm", I pretty much lose my colossal.sh.mind. My hair is very very difficult to color. Karen knows exactly what to do and has gone beyond the call of any stylist's duty to tend to my neurotic hair color issues. I can't tell you how many times I've called her a day after color and style and she has bent over backward to fix the issue.

She has tried every formula possible on my hair. Her efforts have never gone unnoticed. My last cut, style, and color was nothing less than perfect. She nailed the brassy issue. Beyond Karen is her amazing team of stylists. There are so many talents at Magnolia Avenue Salon, but to name a few I know, Dana, Lucy, Kelly, and Ashley, they too are superb and talented artists themselves.

I have been seeing my stylist for years. She recently relocated from a place in Mill Valley to this location. Lisa is awesome! Salon is beautiful with full services. Parking in the back of the building.

What a beautiful, talented and professional salon. Susan turned my shoulder length bob into the most perfect pixie cut. I had a terrible haircut with Karen the owner of the salon. If you read other reviews you see that she is not consistent in her work. She did a horrible hair cut for me and after I complained she said you are better off to go to other salon! What a nice way of customer service! She has a very high confidence that fools you to believe she is an artist and a senior stylist!

I sent her pictures of my before and after hair cut and I believe that since she knows she does not meet the high standards she is asking me to go to another salon! If she was able to fix it why she would say so!

I love the space at this salon! Its spacious and comfortable. Karen took what could've been a bad experience and transformed it into one of the best customer service experiences I have seen. I called the salon desperately for an appointment to get my hair done before an event I had that night. They person they set me up with was so sweet and was able to do great styling but we had different taste in coloring, when I went to check out Karen could tell that the color didn't match my previous coloring style. She was so sweet knowing I had a huge event that night and asked if she could fix it for me. I left feeling confident for my event! I highly recommend this salon!

I would never go to another salon. The atmosphere is wonderful, all the staff are friendly people. The service is great. My stylist Tabby is incredible. She is not only skilled with scissors and blow dryer, she also has a big heart and is always accessible if I'm having a hair crisis or need a quick trim. She does my color perfectly, and it looks great for months. She is great at getting what I want just right. I highly recommend this salon for anyone who wants an uplifting and relaxing experience.
