My daughter had a great experience at this place! Friendly, easy & safe ( she was the only client). Even though owner is old school (I.e., no online booking), he is extremely nice and knows his craft. You won't be disappointed!

Eddie was quick, accommodating, professional, and personable. He has a ton of toys for your little one to choose from too. Our kiddo has autism and Eddie was great with keeping him distracted with toys and conversation during the haircut. Reasonably priced and overall pleasant experience. We will definitely be returning.

Took my 3 year old son and he made him feel very comfortable let him play with toys while he cut his hair and was very friendly and did an amazing job. My son had a great time and didn't want to leave

Alright. Where do I start? How about here? My 5 year old son is very high on the spectrum (Autistic) and has had the hardest time at previous barbers. He gets very anxious and even throws up from time to time when getting his hair cut.it's a nightmare that I do not look forward to handling anytime his hair gets a little wild. Enter Eddie. My son walked into the shop and immediately felt welcome. Eddie came out and greeted Elijah very nicely and pointed out Elijah had brought in a "Woody" Toy Story doll and immediately got on Elijah's level. Elijah felt so comfortable, he told me to sit down, while Elijah himself sat down on the barber chair.

I was floored. Elijah was cooperative the entire time, which means Eddie earned his trust, which was huge. The hair cut was also solid.overall, amazing experience and Elijah will now be a "member" of the Children's Hair Club. Thank you Eddie!

I truly can't say enough good things about Children's Hair Club. My husband and I took our two year old son there to get his first haircut today (based on the many reviews from Yelp). Eddie was patient, a true professional, and a pleasure to chat with. He made it a memorable, enjoyable, and painless experience for all - my son's haircut turned out great! My son loved all of the little cars and toys to keep him distracted, and he got a balloon at the end which he loved. Thank you Eddie!

I took my almost-three year old to get a haircut, knowing he was adverse to them to begin with. Eddie greeted us warmly and my son made it clear he didn't want to be there. I sat in the chair with him and Eddie worked with LIGHTNING speed to get the haircut done. Quick, clean, and with a smile, despite my son not wanting to be there. He gave my son a balloon at the end, and even got a high-five on the way out of the door, so I know my son eventually came around and liked Eddie after all! I would highly recommend Eddie to anyone with little one's who need a trim. Thank you, Eddie!

Ed is extremely friendly and does a great haircut that you'd pay substantially more for elsewhere.

Best place for kiddo's first haircut! Took my 17 month old here and was pretty apprehensive because I was so worried my son wouldn't sit still. I pictured an impatient stylist rolling their eyes as my toddler wiggled away. Not the case at all! Eddie told us how to sit him (straddle his dad in the chair) and would pull away quickly each time my son would whip his head around.

I felt like he did a great cut but more importantly was patient, kind, and made us feel safe with his COVID protocols and keeping the blades away from an unpredictable toddler's face. Did I mention he hand-delivered my son's "First Haircut" certificate to our house because we lived close? We'll definitely be back!

Eddie is amazing. So patient and kind. Our little guy always looks sharp after a visit with Eddie! He also leaves with a smile on his face and a balloon in his hand. Highly recommend.

I just took my 2 year old to get his haircut (it was a mess, since we hadn't taken him since January). Eddie was fantastic! My son even asked if we could "go back for another haircut" as we were pulling out of the parking lot. Eddie has taken all precautions re COVID: he wears a mask, and has reorganized the shop to have all toys out of reach (which is sadly necessary to stop the spread).

The toys can be seen though, and my son was constantly talking about all the "cool trucks" up on the shelves while getting his hair cut (an awesome distraction). The best part about his shop is that there is only one chair, so I was not concerned about others being inside while my son was getting his hair cut. I definitely recommend going here! It was a fantastic experience!

My two year old son and I had a great experience with Eddie. My son can be a handful in his current stage and hates to have anyone touch his head or hair so when Eddie was able to get him to relax and look at some toys while he cut his hair with zero fussiness I was incredibly impressed. Before this trip I was dreading it, partially because I took my son to the dentist and it did not go well, which is why it took me way too long to come in for his haircut.

Now I'll actually come back regularly as I know my son actually enjoys the trips. And I ended up getting my hair cut as well as my son just played quietly with the toys. Thanks Eddie!

Got my kiddos first hair cut here! He is only 2yrs old so I wasn't sure how great/terrible this would go but the cut was quick and easy and the toys were a great distraction. His hair cut looks adorable and we will definitely be back!

Eddie is always accommodating. He knows we travel from Oakland to see him and he works so well with our toddler son. He has toys that he allows the children to play with while getting their haircut. He also gives them a balloon or lollipop after their haircut is done. My son does not like getting his haircut but he is able to cut his hair quickly on days my son is not having it.

Even on those fussy days, my son still ends up with nice haircuts that we always receive a lot of compliments on. Even though it is far for us, we wouldn't go anywhere else. 100% would recommend.

Eddie is simply amazing. My daughter has very curly hair and my son has thick strait hair. Both my kids look forward to haircuts because Eddie has a great way with kids! I love that the cuts grow out nicely too!

Great low-key haircut experience for a young child. Eddie definitely has a way with kids and handles every little challenge a kid can present--like my three year old insisting cutting her hair will hurt--calmly and cheerfully. I also like his laidback, pragmatic approach. The last hairdresser has advised us to grow out a section of bangs that had been cut too far back during a Grandma haircut. That's not easy with a kid who won't wear hair clips. Eddie said that at this young age, practicality is most important and cut a layer that was frustratingly falling over her eyes, leaving only longer strands to continue to grow out. The helium balloon is also a big plus--and better than candy! Prices are pretty much standard for the area.

Eddie is wonderful. I've been taking my daughter for years and have just started taking my 1.5 year old son. Eddie does a fabulous job and has a way with keeping even nervous and fidgety kids to sit still long enough for a cut. Eddie is great - Can't recommend him more!

I brought my daughter for a cut for her long hair in the back and to fix a bang trim we mangled at home. Eddie made her so comfortable and my two other kids were entertained with the toys in the shop. Her cut came out perfect and without the tears she shed at the other place. The price is reasonable and her hair looks great. Happy mom and happy kids!

I'm so glad I brought my daughter here for her first haircut. Eddie is wonderful with children! He did a fantastic job on her hair, he was engaged with my daughter which made her more comfortable, and he worked quickly! The experience was exactly what I had hoped for. We'll be back!

We have taken our 4 year old grandson to Eddie the last 4 times. Eddie is the BEST! He has hundreds of appropriate toys to keep kids interested and occupied. Eddie also knows how to talk to them. Marshall gets a great haircut and parents and grandparents are all delighted. At the end he gets a purple balloon.

Eddie is great! My husband & I took our son here to get his first haircut and Eddie walked us through how to position ourselves and my son so that things would go smoothly. My son cried a bit but Eddie would joke with him and entertain him. Eddie also gave us a first haircut certificate with my son's first locks & a picture. It was such a sweet experience & I am so happy that we chose this place to get his first haircut.

I would highly recommend this place to other moms & dads looking for a place to get their kid's first haircut! We will definitely be coming back to this place in the future!
