Vickie purchased Personal Touch Salon at 106 N. Main St. in Wauconda in 1986, making it Vickie's Personal Touch Ltd. Over the years the salon expanded and outgrew the shop on Main Street. Less than a mile down the street the empty property at 349 S. Barrington Rd. was purchased and a new building was designed to fit the needs of Vickie's Personal Touch Ltd.
Please call the salon at (847) 526-6162 to schedule appointments. They are scheduled according to availability. If you need a certain day, time, or prefer a certain cosmetologist it is recommended that you schedule your appointment in advance. We allow walk-ins and will service you as soon as possible if there is availability.
We are proud to say that we are a CND salon. Every nail technician is licensed and up to date on their continuing education. Our products, protocols and services are held to the highest of standards. We are always educated on the newest products and services. All of our equipment is either one-time-use, or 100% sanatizable.
Our full service day spa is located in a separate area of the salon to ensure privacy and a serene, quiet and relaxing experience. The spa contains separate, private rooms for all services as well as its own waiting area. There are men and women's washrooms equipped with dressing areas, lockers, showers and robes which all spa clients are welcome to use at no extra cost.

I have been going here on and off since I was a child. Cari is THE best hairstylist I have ever met in my life. I have very fine and thin hair, and she was able to change my dark ashy brown hair to a platinum blonde without it feeling damaged at all. She is constantly coming up with recommendations to help maintain my hair outside of the salon, and everything she's told me has worked.
She knows my hair type inside and out, and she tailors the bleaching and toning process to make it look perfect. She is also very easy to talk to and makes me feel comfortable. I actually look forward to my appointments. Take note that this place is so popular that you need to schedule in advance (and it's worth the wait, trust me!) The other employees here are all extremely friendly and efficient. I have not once in the many years I have gone here had a bad experience. 10/10, I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

I had never been here before, and reading all of the reviews, and hearing the stories, I decided it was time to give Vickie's a try. Anna was the one that cut my hair and she did a fantastic job! She was very nice, personable, and very professional. Next time you need a haircut, Vickie's is the place to go!

Vickie is a hero! She made me feel extremely valued as a NEW customer and went out of her way to help me with my hair for my wedding style. She listened to me and created an intricate masterpiece on the spot. I will never go anywhere else again! I went to Vickie's desperate and frustrated staight from wasting my time and almost my money at a hair constellation at a "high end" chain and Vickie instantly made me excited and gave me back my joy about my wedding look again!

The only person I see if Haley for massages and mani/pedi. Haley takes great care with massages. During my first massage ever, she made me feel very comfortable and explained the process. She checks in with the amount of pressure and makes me feel at easy. My no-chip mani's last at least 2 weeks, always. Anywhere I went before would never last that long. I do not go anywhere else for these services.

First time experience at Vickie's. and it was great! I got my hair done, the time spent there was normal as any other place. I liked the layout, and it was clean, and comfortable feeling! The people are really nice, and the pricing, you can't beat! This is my new go to place for hair. Next, I'll try my nails. I hope this turns into my 1 stop salon all around!
