I only post a review when I am extremely impressed. I made an appointment with Lillian after suffering from Covid and experiencing some hair loss. From the moment I walked in the door of the salon, Lillian was amazing! She was compassionate, caring and listened! She squeezed me in for a late night appointment after work and gave me her complete attention and time.
I HIGHLY recommend her and will refer her to all my friends and family and feel confident that they will be in the very best of hands. I found her very knowledgeable about haircare and I left there feeling like we were friends and was very happy with the results. I totally trust her with all my haircare needs. 5 plus stars!

I just had the most amazing experience with Tammy & Lillian. I live out of state and needed a wig highlighted. I mailed it to them, they added highlights and sent me pictures. I felt they were too orange/bronze and not red enough. They toned them down and sent new pictures. They did an amazing job. They styled the wig and have put it back into the mail to me. I am so happy with their customer service, attention to my preferences and the payment process. Thank you so much.

Lillian and her staff are all extremely talented. A great experience all around from booking my appointment with the receptionist until the time I walk out the door feeling fabulous! Not to mention Lillian donates her time to a great charity which she founded, "Do Wonders", where she provides wigs to woman and children with hair loss due to cancer treatments. Lillian Lee is an amazing woman with a really wonderful salon. Every cut I get is good; she is always careful and artful, making sure the cut suits my face. The color is great. Beyond this, she is such a caring person. I first met her when I needed a wig because of chemotherapy. She offered me a beautiful selection of real hair wigs, and she just gave it to me and maintained it, charging me nothing.
She made the experience so caring and gentle and private. With this wig, I regained my confidence. This is the best salon I ever visited. I recommend Lillian Lee Salon with 5 stars.

The owner will blame you for one of her stylist's mistakes. Instead of employing good customer service skills and apologizing, you as the paying customer are made to feel bad, shamed into tipping more, and guilted into apologizing yourself. TERRIBLE! Do not go here until the management and staff take a course in better business practices and good customer service! Avoid at all costs. I bet you she voted for Trump.

I have been going to Lillian Lee's for a year and Michelle took care of my hair. She did a very nice job but she no longer works there. But I do know that the other hairdresser do a great job! I have watched them and they are all quite talented. They are all very nice and friendly. I don't understand why in one of the comments someone said that Lillian was rude, I have not experienced that.
She always has a smile on her face and is very friendly. If you are not happy with any of their work, they give 2 weeks to comeback and correct whatever you are not satisfied with at NO CHARGE!

Lillian is a very disrespectful woman. On my wedding day, Lillian made me cry and cursed me because I decided to hire an outside makeup artist that does not work at her salon. She decided to let me know of my "disloyalty" on my wedding day while doing my hair. I really misjudged this woman. She never apologized for her wrongdoing and I regret with all my heart for hiring this hot-tempered woman to do my hair on the most special day of my life.

Terrible. They ruined my hair, I had to get it cut all off. The owner charged me more even after her employee ruined my hair. Then she damaged it even further with "corrective color". They don't value loyal customers and good tippers. They will make you wait, rush you, burn your hair and then charge you more for trying to fix it. Terrible business practices and poor form in customer service and rectifying mistakes.
The treatment I received was sketchy at best and very unprofessional. It's going to take me a year to cut all the damage out of my hair. Shame on them. I had more color put in my hair where it was not needed and it cost me more. I've never seen such greed, arrogance and price gouging.

I am really happy with my curly hair cut with Jessica Stellato. I've been getting my hair cut by Jessica for the past two years, and I've followed her from her previous salon to Teaneck. You can see my curl pattern from my yelp photo (taken a week after my cut with Jessica). I know that I can trust her to make the best decision for my hair and lifestyle, and the cut is never too short or too long (as it often happens for curly haired women). I've brought friends with tighter curls or looser curls or waves, and everyone was pleased with their results.
Any woman, and especially the one with curly hair, knows what it's like to keep looking for the "right" stylist who gets your hair and gives you consistently good hair. The fact that I can sit down in her chair, exhale and trust that I'll walk out with great hair every time is precious.

I agree with rachel. They do not value customers old or new. I am an actress. I had an important rehearsal this weekend. My colorist was sick. I called lillian lee salon on sunday a.m and asked if they could please fit me in and do a touch up and blow dry. i was told to hold on. After 5 minutes i was disconnected. I called back and left a message with my number.
No one ever called me back. Thank god I called another place in the area who took me in an hour. Never again will i go to place who couldnt care less about customers. NOT FOR ME!

I have been coming here for years and I am a guy. I absolutely love my experience every time I come here. Everyone is friendly and fun. I enjoy my time with the girls every visit and they treat everyone like royalty. They take so much care of their clients and especially the ones who come back. They know you by name and they all greet you personally.
My only wish is that it was closer! This place is the best in the area and you won't find more talented stylists anywhere in Bergen County. Rubina is fabulous with her eyebrow threading (i recommend this for all guys - don't get them waxed) and both Stef and Lillian both know how a guy's haircut should look like! I wish you all nothing but the most success!

I had been a client at Lillian Lee for a number of years, following Maryann, my stylist who had moved from another salon. Several months ago I was diganosed with breast cancer and a course of chemotherapy was necessary. My oncologist recommended that I be fitted for a wig, as losing my hair during the treatments was inevitable. I went to see Lillian before I even began my treatments.
She ordered a wig in the exact color of my hair and even had it shipped overnight to expedite the process so that the wig would be ready when I needed it. After the wig arrived she spent a great deal of time cutting and styling it (4 times!), until I felt like it was "me". During several of the appointments i came in crying from the emotional difficulty of the experience, but I always left smiling. Lillian and her staff were amazingly kind and compassionate during what was a most difficult time in my life. Arianna always greeted me with a smile and asked how I was feeling.
She always made an effort to work around my medical appontments and always fit me into the schedule when I needed to come in. Lillian is an angel. Her Do Wonders organization is a gift to women who need a wig during a difficult time and could not otherwise afford to purchase one. I was fortunate that my insurance company covered the cost of a new wig. Also. Nabila is always so kind. Alexis always asks me how I am doing when i come in and tells me I look great.
I can't tell you how much that lifts my spirits. This team of professionals made a huge impact in my life during what continues to be a truly challenging time. Thank you Lillian and your entire staff.

If you want a Salon that values you as a customer, this is NOT the place for you. They will cancel your appointment whenever they feel like, even if you make it weeks in advance for a special occasion. And it's not just for regular cuts they will cancel. Lillian canceled for my sisters wedding as well- a full 2 months after she was booked! When I dared to complain about not being accomodated, all I got was "well, you don't come here often".
This was said to me, in person, when I came in for an appt, TODAY, different from the day I originally booked. I asked for a discount to make up for the inconvenience and all I got was " we NEVER offer discounts" and "you want to take money away from lillian?!" ( who conveniently, was not there, and could not be bothered to speak with me even though I requested to speak with her numerous times).
I said I put something on facebook about my experience, and how many of my friends also had their appts canceled before ( as have I ) and I got " put what ever you want on facebook, everyone will come here anyway" No " we understand, we are sorry, take 10% off to make up for our incompetence" NOTHING. This salon used to be good, but with the attitude I got from the front desk, the bookkeeper AND the stylist, I walked out I will never go back. This salon needs to realize the customer comes first.

Went to Sharon to get a relaxer and a new style. She did a fantastic job! She was very pleasant and friendly and took her time getting the style just right. I love what she did with my hair and I'm completely comfortable letting her work her magic to create a style that works perfectly. Anyone looking for a great place to do something new with the hair or maintain their current look should stop by here.

Rubina, who does eyebrow threading does an incredible job. I get regular compliments on my eyebrows, even when it has been a few weeks since I've gotten them done! I first found Rubina when she had her own salon down the street and was sad to hear that her business didn't make it. I'm very happy that she was able to find a new spot at Lillian Lee. I have tried a number of places for eyebrow threading, some may be cheaper but Rubina does such a great job that it's worth handing over the extra few bucks.
