1820 Collective

What a lovely place. I have been spending way too much money on the name salons for 15 years. The pandemic changed things for me. Started with a cut and style and will be back in 3 weeks for color services. The cut price was perfect and allowed me to tip extra directly to the amazing Meredith!

I absolutely love this salon! It's super easy to make an appointment. Jack and his stylists are very talented and have a nice relaxed environment. This is the first salon I have been comfortable enough with to walk in having no idea what I want done but know it will be cute no matter what. I love that it's not a "gossip" salon and you don't feel obligated to make small talk. Oh and they offer coffee and water while you get your hair done! What could be better?!?!

Wanted hair extensions without damaging my hair and found them at 1820 Collective. Jack was so kind and helpful and wanted to make sure they looked good and I loved them. Definitely recommend! Service: Hair extensions

Ok so the reason I'm giving this review 3 stars is because the people here were absolutely lovely but as of what I got for the price I'm very disappointed. I don't usually do reviews because I don't like when others feel like I'm just being rude. The first photo I attached was my hair before the appointment. The next two photos were what I asked for and the following photos was what I received.

Now the lady who did my hair is absolutely a sweetheart which is why I didn't have the heart to say anything. I mean as you can tell what I asked for and what I received really isn't close. Although the hair I have now is still cute it's not what I came for. I had high expectations too, walking in, based on the reviews and photos of hair they did. I think she wasn't to far off of my goal but definitely would of liked more of a similar out come as the photos. No hate here just was hoping for more.

I had a great experience at the 1820 Collective, from the front desk to the stylist. Ashley did a full highlight and cut on my fine, medium length hair. It was the best my hair has looked in years. I absolutely loved my appointment. The business is beautiful and relaxing and all of the stylists are so sweet. I had some severe damage to my hair and my stylist was amazing and helped me get a cut and color that would benefit my hair the most. It looked amazing after and I am already excited to go back again. Absolutely 100% recommend.

I'm so glad that I found 1820 Collective. I had been looking for a new salon for a while and my experience here was wonderful. Jack and Karen were so nice and welcoming and Jack did such a great job on my haircut and color! So many stylists rush through cutting my hair but he really took his time and it shows! I will definitely be back and I recommend them to anyone looking for an awesome haircut and color and exceptional customer service.

I've lived in the area for two years now and have been through hell and back with two hairdressers. Burning my hair, not knowing how to cut and highlight properly while charging ridiculous outrageous prices. I have found my forever girl at 1820 Collective. Emma is the absolute best! She took the time to consult with me, made recommendations and was able to get my hair cut and color back to looking really nice.

The salon is super clean with a great atmosphere, the entire staff is very friendly and nice and the prices are awesome. Jack, the owner, introduced himself. Wish I started here two years ago. :-)) Thank you Emma and 1820 Collective.

Last Friday was my first time going to 1820 Collective and it definitely won't be my last. Lisa was my stylist and it was my first time meeting her. Lisa was very, VERY attentive to my needs and all I can say are good things! We had a miscommunication on what I wanted originally and she handled it with grace and skill. She's very friendly and easy to talk to about pretty much anything, so you won't have to have an awkward silence while you're getting your hair done.

I got my rather long hair cut into long layers, trimmed, thinned out, lifted (bleached) and colored. My hair feels so much lighter now that Lisa thinned it out. My neck used to hurt sometimes because my hair was so thick/heavy and I don't have that problem now, which is a relief. Lisa colored the bleached parts of my hair a gorgeous teal/green color, and I love it!

She did what I wanted done with my hair, not what she wanted, which is a good thing to find in a stylist, and it's been hard for me to find in the past. I will definitely be going back as I was blown away by both Lisa's professionalism and performance. You will not regret going to this salon, I promise!

Kassy is amazing! She worked wonders with my super long and naturally curly hair. I'm glad to have finally found a local stylist. Additionally, all of the employees I have encountered have been very friendly. I would highly recommend 1820 Collective!

Everything anyone would ever want in a hair salon. The stylists are all very experienced and have a true eye for artistry. They are also very friendly and willing to take the time to give you the perfect cut. Probably my favorite part about this place is the environment. It truly feels like a "collective" of stylists and the vibe is completely different than one that you would find in a local great clips.

When reserving your first appointment you are matched with a stylist who corresponds to your hair needs and the price of each service depends on the experience/level of the stylist + the length of the hair. I would say that the price very reasonable in fact$ is 100% worth it, even for just a simple trim!

Highly recommend! Went in for a cut and highlight. The staff is very friendly and helpful! The establishment is cute and calming. Emily did a great job on my cut and foil highlights!

I love this place! I've had a few girls work on my hair there, they all do an awesome job. I use Carlee now when I can, absolutely love how she does the balayage on my hair!

Listen you snobs from Columbus, this is THE BEST place to get your hair cut in the Central Ohio area, hands down. After six weeks of wearing my hair in a ponytail because I was too lazy and bored to do anything with it I went to see Paul. I said, "Paul, you've got to help me! A girl cannot live by ponytail alone." So he said, "Well your hair is always off your neck anyway, so why don't we just go short.

Like bob short. Ready?" And off we went. Snip snip. Chop chop. I never looked back. Paul is great. He gave a thorough consult and the perfect cut. I now see Loren on a regular basis and she is amazing, as well. It's good to know your clients as a hairdresser and to know how crazy they are willing to get. Loren and Paul both allow me to be adventurous with a little asymmetrical, curly bob that we can add some flair to with the change of the seasons. Go see either one of them. Tell them Nicole sent you. We're all buds. I seriously feel like family when I'm there.

I have been going to this place for about two years now and I won't trust anyone else with my hair. It is hands down the best place to get your hair done in Delaware. I drive out of my way to attend this salon. I have had my hair cut, styled and dyed and never left unhappy or dissatisfied. The receptionist and stylist are very friendly and welcoming.

They make it a point to have meaningful conversations or comment on your latest hair style. My stylist always listens to my concerns and talks me through the procedures, produces and even the science behind why my hair is the way it is. the only down side is the service can be pricy, but I think it is worth it!

Love, love, love this place. I'm sad that it's more than an hour from my home, because I want to continue to get my hair cut there. The staff is friendly and attentive. The place is well-designed. Loren is awesome. I'm the sort of person who never likes my hair - I never dislike it - but I'm never going to be impressed by a haircut.

It grows back, so who cares. Well, what Loren did with my hair impressed me. I love my haircut. I've received more compliments on this haircut than I have for all my other haircuts combined. Ok, perhaps I am exaggerating, but still. people seem to like my hair now (gosh, it must have been terrible before!). So. check out this place if you're in Delaware or the Columbus area and need a good haircut!
