We provide partial financial aid for continued education classes outside the salon and customize our in-salon training program to meet the pace of the individual.

I wanted to change up my hair since it has been a few months. My hair was highlighted and my original color is a medium brown. I asked the stylist to give me a chocolate brown/medium brown to match my hair. My hair turned out BLACK. She definitely made me wait too long while she worked on someone else's hair. I specifically went to get this professionally done so that I don't accidentally dye it black myself. Seems like I could have dyed it at home to get the same result.
As for the cut, I only asked for 2 inches and a few layers. She kept cutting it even though I thought she was done. Lastly, to top it all off -- before she washed out my dye, she yanked off my cap which took out my double's piercing earring. Now I am left with no earring in one ear.

Do not go to light salon and spa in Avon! My son went for a trim and she cut his hair super short! He told the girl trim the sides and back leave them front.'she cut the front! He was growing it out all summer! He explained what he wanted and she still cut the front. All they could say was sorry. Short is one thing (upsetting but one thing) but it is not even a uniform cut.

First time hair coloring appointment! I went for the first time back in July and had a wonderful experience. I just went back for touch-ups and a highlight and couldn't be happier with the experience! The place is taking covid precautions very seriously, with temperature checks for clients and stylists. Both my stylists were so kind in explaining what the options were to achieve the results I wanted (natural looking lightening) and my hair has never looked better!
They took the time to curl and style afterwards and are such friendly people. I also scheduled a facial and eyebrow wax with Lauren- amazing! My boyfriend has never noticed my eyebrows before but even he noticed how fabulous they looked! I have very sensitive skin and tend to burn in that area. Lauren discussed that with me and made sure my skin wasn't irritated at all. 100/10 I love this place.

I received a gift certificate for this place and went just to use it up. I plan on going repeatedly now! Sue did an amazing job on my hair and Lauren was the bee's knees on my brows, mani, and pedi. It was such an amazingly relaxing environment. I haven't had a pamper day since my son was born over 4 years ago and they really made my darn day. Thank you ladies!

I was in for my very first hair appointment today with Marissa. I told her to just pick my color, my cut, etc. She was very knowledgeable and did an AMAZING job! I am not a hair salon girl and I can't wait to come back for my next style. I already booked it on my way out today. The rest of the staff was GREAT too. From the moment I arrived at check in, to the moment I left and paid.
I got to see a variety of ladies create multiple new looks today. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone looking for a great job, being treated well and feeling comfortable. Thank you Marissa. I now know what thinning sheers and toner is. I LOVE my new look and I'll definitely see you soon.

Had a horrible experience. I showed the girl a picture of what I wanted my hair to be and buy my roots she turned it all brasses and looked absolutely horrible the next day. I texted her to see if there was anything we could do about it and she said no there is nothing we can do about it because I have dark roots. I ended up having to go to a different salon and getting it fixed which turned out 10x better!
So anyways I called to talk to the owner and she told me she would call me back after she talked to the girl who did my hair so I said okay. She never called back I kept calling they would tell me she's not available can I take a message and still never would call me back after calling and leaving several messages. Then they just stopped answering my calls. All I was asking for was at least half of my money back because I ended up spending 200 to get it fixed and 170 form this solan what is unfair to me.
So anyways I called to talk to the owner and she told me she would call me back after she talked to the girl who did my hair so I said okay. She never called back I kept calling they would tell me she's not available can I take a message and still never would call me back after calling and leaving several messages. I was a customer for over a year scheduling our appointments in advance 6 months at a time. Dec. 19th I had a hair appointment with my normal stylist. I was to get a cut and color. I notified her prior to starting that I had a 2 hr 15 minute limit before needing to leave. I have a short bob haircut and does not take much time to complete. I arrived early, and my color was on my hair 5 minutes after my normal appt was to start.
She asked if I mind if she gave a quick cut to another person while we were waiting on my color to process. I agreed. I was placed in the waiting area of the massage area at 6:05. At 6:45 I went out in the area to go to bathroom as she was finishing with the women she was with. I then went back into my waiting area while she cleaned up. 7:25 I went back out only to find her cutting another persons hair.
Another stylist saw me and asked if she could help me, I said that the color has now been on my head for 1 hr 20 minutes. She went and talked to my stylist who then asked her to wash me out. I now have 10 minutes before needing to leave. I look over and she is putting curls in the ladies hair with a curling iron. I personally combed my hair out, got my coat and purse and walked up to the front desk.
My stylist came up and asked if I wanted my neck line trimmed and gave me a discount on my color. No apology. No explanation. I explained my position on the situation and reminded them I had my appt. scheduled for 6 months. I was slighted on my patronage to them. I requested the owner to call me. I waited until 1/4/19 and called again. I was told the manager Maria would call me.
I have called 3 additional times and never received a call back. Customer Service is seriously lacking. Long term customer loyalty is lacking. If you are looking for a long term salon, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a one time shot- it might work but they will bump their long term customers to fit you in.

The stylist did a pretty good job cutting my hair. This is the first time that I actually feel like my hair is pretty and very manageable. She also did some highlights. I would have liked them to be much more noticeable, but she said that since it was my first time getting them that I shouldn't shock my hair with really bright ones (not sure if this is true though? Maybe she just thought the color didn't match my hair that well). Make up services weren't that great. But maybe it was just the particular person I'd gotten that day.

My husband, sister in law and I have our hair cut at Light Salon. I also receive periodic color and spa services. We have received nothing but the best service from every stylist/esthetician. We each see different stylists, but have an exceptional experience every time. Perfect hair cuts, beautiful color and excellent service. It's comforting to know that we can schedule an appointment anytime and have no concerns about the results. They also include a mini facial and a hand and arm massage with every salon service--so relaxing!

Mini facials & arm massages don't typically come standard with a regular hair cut, but Light Salon pampers their customers. I've been coming here for years. Every stylist I've tried has been fabulous and friendly. I also love the Aveda tea they offer to sip on while you wait or while you're getting you're hair cut - it's so calming.
I just leave the salon feeling soooothed and glamorous! During my last visit I was slightly disappointment; when I checked in there, the salon did NOT honor the 10% off voucher offered on Yelp! Claiming they were not aware of the promotion. Bummer man.

Best place to go for hair extensions. They make it easy and really work with you to pick the best blend of colors. My new long hair looks so natural and healthy, you would never know it's not all real. Price can be a little steep, but it's an investment and I am really enjoying my new look. Leanne is the stylist for them!

I went to light salon and spa for a facial. I had never had one before and I was a little nervous because I have super sensitive skin and some allergies to some face washes. The young lady who did my facial named Renee did a WONDERFUL job! She took the time to do a patch test to make sure I wouldn't have a reaction and even explained to me how Aveda products are very gentle on the skin.
I felt so relaxed and comfortable the whole time ( she even gave me a hand and arm massage!). My face which had been breaking out, looked and felt so much better by the time she was done. She even gave me samples of a face mask and toner to take home with me to continue using. I will DEFINITELY be back to see Renee! Light salon and spa you've got an excellent employee and a return customer for sure!

I have ALWAYS had a wonderful experience at this fine Aveda salon. Great talent, always great color, (awesome Aveda product) always received great high lights and low lights, and the stylist who works on me does a fantastic job cutting hair. I always walk out feeling like a million bucks! Love the atmosphere too. GREAT SALON! I highly recommend trying it.
