Mehndi Beauty Salon is a unisex salon that not only offers haircuts. We provide coloring, facials, henna applications and of course threading. We are situated near Rutgers Bush/Livingston Campus. We specialize in eyebrows threading which is an ancient Indian all natural, safe, simple, natural, non chemical and quick effective method of facial hair removal.

Best full service salon in Piscataway! Sonal has so much talent and can do any/all type of service! She does the best eyebrows, I always get my eyebrows done by her and I fully trust her to make it perfect. Recently also got my highlights done and I'm so impressed. This is exactly how I imagined it to be! I love Sonal's service and dedication

I have just discovered this salon two months ago and I must say The owner is very professional and accommodating! I moved from NY to NJ and was literally traveling to NY once a month to get my body wax root touch up done because I couldn't find a satisfactory salon here! But now I visit Mehndi beauty Salon every month and often times get more services then I intend to at the beginning just because the environment is so friendly and relaxing!

5 stars! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Mehndi Beauty Salon in Piscataway has great potential to compete and win over the basic Indian salons that you're probably familiar with on Oaktree Road. It provides a clean, tidy, and a warm welcoming environment for a pleasant experience. Mehndi Beauty Salon offers a variety of services - haircut, threading, waxing, facial, bleaching, hairstyle, and make up are a few I've personally had a VERY POSITIVE experience with.
My personal favorite being the facial - zen ambience with soothing music playing in the background, no disruptions! You can rest assure knowing that your services will not be interrupted by staff attending to other customers in between, and neither will you be rushed out of there (as I'm sure many other salon experiences can feel such a way). I do want to specially acknowledge and thank Parul Patel. Parul's professional etiquette is beyond exceptional, always pleasant to interact with and always on time (in fact, you can count on her to be waiting for you ahead of your appointment time). Needless to say, that avoids having to wait and you're taken in almost immediately upon entering.
I'll never forget my first interaction with Parul - I walked in to inquire about hair and make up, figured I'll take some time to consider options and compare pricing. But I walked right back in and booked my appointment, added threading/waxing, haircut, and facial to the list. I knew I'd be taken good care of, and I was right! Salons on Oaktree Road are closer to me, but I travel out of my way to Mehndi Beauty Salon because I've seen and experienced how much this place values their customers!

I was super nervous to get my brows done again after COVID but I'm glad I did! They look great! The salon is super clean, not crowded since you have to make an appointment now and the ladies don't put the one end in their mouth anymore when threading. They put the thread through a loop that's on a necklace. I'm VERY Pleased

Always do a great job on my eyebrows - I have been going to them for almost 6-7 years. Most consistently the last 3 years. Since COVID-19, I went on the reopening day. The salon has changed how they thread eyebrows and I was very comfortable going and pleased with the changes. Masks are required, the stylists/threaders also wear masks and have dividers and 6 feet social distancing.
They also wear gloves and change the gloves and sanitize the chair between customers. They thread your brows without you having to worry about any contact occurring as masks are on the entire time.

I've been going to this salon for years to have my eyebrows and lip threaded. I am happy to say that since re-opening after the lockdown, that they are doing a great job of keeping things sanitary and safe. I felt like they really took care of me. Sonal is a great eyebrow artist and she uses a special tool now so that she doesn't hold the thread in her mouth.
She gives you hand sanitizer before you start and everyone is wearing masks and changing gloves between each customer. You have to call to make an appointment and when you get there, you call before entering so they can be sure to ensure social distancing. I feel so pretty now. my eyebrows look great again! Oh, and they used to thread the upper lip, but now they are using just wax instead to limit exposure when you have to pull your mask down.

I've been going there for 11 years! I love getting eyebrows threaded there. Some of the ladies do a better job than others but I am very particular how my eyebrows are shaped. I was tell them what I want unless I've gone to the person a few times. In the past the owner/manager would get upset if I wanted to wait for a specific person. She insisted all of the ladies did a great job.
Not true! Then one day she did my eyebrows and I was not satisfied. There's a new owner/manager now and she is very nice but they don't have as much staff as they used to. Overall I like to get my eyebrows done there but it's always a risk if you go to a new lady! I've never had my hair done there, they wouldn't know what to do with my hair. Every one who I've ever seen go in there for a hair cut has regular straight hair! Not much variety.
