Great salon with talented employees who know how to style. My daughter was in a jam with timing and prom and they squeezed her right in and fixed her hair to her liking, she looked BEAUTIFUL. Thank you to all who made her special day every more amazing, and now Jenna is her new stylist.

I finally got up the courage this week to go inside a hair salon for the first time in over two years. Jenna M. took care of me, and was positive and reassuring both about my decision to wear a mask into the salon as well as the state of my hair. She actually made me feel good about coming in to get several inches of trashed hair taken off. The service was efficient and skilled, and I walked out with an easy-to-maintain, versatile, flattering cut in under an hour.

In fact, when my husband saw the results, he went out and booked with the same stylist, and came home with an equally good cut. I can completely see why this salon is so highly rated. My next appointment in 8 weeks is already booked!

I have been going to Crista for several years now, and I do not trust anyone else with my cut and color! She is an incredibly skilled colorist and I get complimented on my hair color often. Not to mention a wonderful person who I enjoy catching up with at every appointment. I now live over an hour away and I still travel to go see her! The salon is also beautifully renovated and staff is welcoming. Cannot recommend it enough!

I've been coming here to get my hair done for 7 years now. Tiffany is truly the BEST hairstylist. She always knows exactly what I want and somehow she executes it in an even better way that I imagine. It is SO hard to find a hairstylist that actually cares about you leaving the salon feeling great while also protecting the health and integrity of your hair at the same time. Yes, she is usually booked weeks in advance, but her work is worth the wait. While I don't want everyone to book all the appointments because I need appointments for myself too, Tiffany deserves the recognition. I'd book her with my eyes closed!

BOOK NOW! LOVE LOVE LOVE! I absolutely love Capelli and will never go to anywhere else. Awesome atmosphere with an open layout and modern aesthetic. High quality products and hair dressers for the right price. The owners are italian angels. Everyone here does excellent work only- you will not be disappointed. One of the things I thought that was unique about the salon was the chairs and shampoo bowls.

Not the typical/average chairs, very new and comfortable with arm rests and the shampoo bowls adjust to your height so you don't have to lean back into it and break your back. I've never felt so comfortable in a salon, staff is friendly and accommodating. They all truly care about getting you the look you want to achieve. I am so happy I found Capelli and will be a long term customer.

How I found Capelli: I researched salons in the Rutgers area when I moved here for school and once I came across capelli I knew that it had to be italian (capelli means hair in italian) so I did some more research and found their website with pics and prices and read other yelp reviews about stylists who know how to cut/style curly/wavy hair which was what I was looking for because I have that hair type. Once I went and had a good experience I kept returning and loving my hair more every time I leave!

I love Capelli, specifically Gino. He goes above and beyond for his clients and is unbelievably talented, nobody does extensions close to as good as he can. If you go to Gino I promise you'll leave Capelli with hair that far exceeds the expectations you had going in!

I had visited Capelli to get a perm done a couple weeks ago. Mind you, I have very straight and thick hair (I'm Asian), I didn't think perms in general would stay for more than two weeks. But during the process of perming I've noticed how diligent and detailed the hair dresser was. They really made sure that the curls were done right and if my hair wasn't perfect then I wouldn't be allowed to go home lol.

Take a look at the curls I have now. I'm absolutely in love and I can say it was life changing. They definitely took care of me very well. 10/10 I would recommend any one to go.

I absolutely loved my experience there. The employees were so sweet and very gentle. I don't really trust people with my hair but i'd trust this place a hundred times more. The prices were worth the service and the place was so clean. Would definitely go there again and recommend it too.

I love this salon! The staff has always been super nice and welcoming. If you are looking to get a hair cut - I highly recommend Crista. She is so nice and helpful. She really listens to what you want and also makes her own suggestions which I appreciate since she is the expert after all!

I do not recommend this salon for modern cuts. I have short hair, neck length. I paid for a high level hairdresser. I got a haircut and styling at Capelli's and while the hairstyling was good the cut was not. My hair looked fine at the salon because it was styled correctly, but after a wash my hair looked like the bob I asked not to have.

I have been a client at Capelli hair salon for over 10 years. They go above and beyond their clients' needs, always courteous, professional. The salon is very clean, bright, recently remodeled. Prices are very reasonable. Front desk is friendly, respectful, quick with checkouts. Highly recommend Hiromi, my stylist and this salon to anyone.

I've been coming here for about 2 years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else! Pre-Covid this place was clean, organized and Crista is just an amazing hair stylist and color artist! Post-Covid they have been amazing at asking for a phone call before entering, temp checks, and just overall cleanliness. I also like how attentive they have been to my hair and listening to what I'm asking for which is not easy to come by and I have not been disappointed yet. As long as they are around I will be coming here!

I've been going to Capelli for several years. All the staff do a great job and the newly remodeled salon is lovely. Covid procedures are carefully followed.

I needed a new hairdresser since my longtime person, a friend was doing my hair from her home. In addition she was an hour away. I had passed Capellis often and wondered about going. After Covid, I had no choice but to find someone else because my friend was not opening her home to doing hair. I have to say I was very pleased with my results. Jenna has been wonderful and did a beautiful job on my color and cut. I'm so glad to have a go to person and place now :- Everyone is so friendly and welcoming!

Every time I can get in here and get my hair done, it's the best experience. From the shampooing to the hair cutting. Everyone follows covid guidelines and masks are worn and it's interior has been remodeled which makes it feel spacious and vibrant. If you're looking for somewhere to go, this is the place. You'll be feel pampered with any stylist there.

My favorite salon around! I've been going here for 5-6 years now and have never been disappointed. They offer a wide range of services and have a good spread of hours to choose from. Everyone is very nice and the stylists are willing to answer questions to guide your hair journey :- Every customer is different but they work to get you the look you want while considering your unique hair color, type, condition, etc. basically their goal is to make sure that you're getting a style that works for you. Bonus: they did a remodel during the Covid shutdown and the place looks amazing!

I made an appointment a little before the pandemic made everything closed down so my appointment was cancelled which is fine and understandable. Through Instagram I saw that the salon was about to reopen so I called and made an appointment which was going to take about an month and half because of all the people that were unable to get there hair done which is ok.

The appointment time arrives I get to the salon and they tell me that they can do my hair because whoever booked my appointment did it for hair color which I stated to say while making the appointment but it turns out that for them it means just a root touch up. Mind you I'm not a hair professional nor I had ever visited this salon ever before to know this. So, they just told me to book another appointment which I hesitantly agreed to because of course I'm mad I had to wait all this time be turned back, when I went to get another appointment the earliest Saturday which is the days that I can book my appointment for was September 5th. So, yes you guessed 2 months and half from now, I said that I would call back for an appointment later, which is never going to happen.

I was a first time customer and it was the worst experience ever. Advice for the salon; do like other salons when you book an appointment and ask questions about our hair and what exactly we are looking for, we are not the experts you guys are.

I LOVE THIS SALON! After many trial and errors trying to find a hairstylist that won't continue to ruin my hair trying to achieve the look I want. I found this place thru a great friend and found my dream hair stylist that is truly an expert and grateful I found her! Tiffany is amazing! She completely saved and transformed my hair after years of damage from other stylists claiming "they knew what they were doing"!

I love coming here! I love the whole vibe of the salon! It feels like home.very comfortable-family like and everyone is friendly! Came in yesterday for a very last minute appointment right before closing and Jenna took me happily. She was so nice and easy to talk to. It was the quickest I had ever been at a salon. She was able to keep an easy conversation without slowing down on my hair. I'm so in love with my hair. Didn't know I could get a cut this beautiful. It's better than what I wanted.

My former hair dresser, who was great, is now home with her 2 gorgeous children but she recommended Tiffany to do my hair and she's awesome. Tiffany listens and does what you want to do. She does great color, cuts, blow outs. You name it! Oh and Christa did my hair for my wedding and she rocked it out. All of their staff is so nice and accommodating.

The owners Gino and Giovanni are exceptional. You can tell their employees are happy which is nice to see. Thank you Capellis for taking care of all my hair needs, all while making me feel a part of the Capelli family every time I walk through that door. Isabella

Came here today to get a foil highlight. Susan did a great job and the staff is all very friendly and considerate. The girl who washed my hair, I didn't ask her name tho, was very gentle on it, and I appreciate that. Place itself is nice and organized, not crowded nor noisy at all. Overall, highly recommend.

Capelli is the only place I will ever go to get my hair done, and Erica is the only stylist I will go too. I came here a year ago, I had gotten the worst hack job from another salon. Erica was able to redeem my hair from the lost cause, and make me feel like a star. I love the honesty of her work, my hair continues to look amazing every time I go visit.

Everyone is friendly kind and sweet, always filled with sassy fun attitudes. Listening to Erica's advice my hair is beautiful soft and amazing again I owe it to her and this salon for helping me. I tell everyone where I go and who does my hair, because every compliment I receive is BECAUSE of the work she puts into my hair. Thank you guys so much, I am forever a satisfied happy guest here.

First time here today and I'm very happy with the results. I came in for a 6 pm appointment that I reserved at 12:30 pm for a wash, deep conditioning, trim, and blow. From the front desk to the hair professional who took very good care of my hair today exceeded all my expectations. I have very kinky curly hair so it's very important to me that my stylist is knowledgeable with how to work through my hair type. Tiffany definitely knows what she is doing and I felt comfortable in her chair as she worked her magic. This was a great first time experience-beautiful salon and beautiful people. I will definitely return.

THEY CAN LOSE THE ATTITUDE! Staff are extremely rude - girl that answers the phone obnoxious. Treat customers like crap when you call to book. Last time went there checked in and they made me wait 45 minutes. Offered nothing- coffee / water etc which should be pretty standard stuff for a place that charges heavy. Sitting right there and I could see the stylist was free.

The girl at the front desk did not even tell her I'm waiting - screwed up and finally had to call the owner ask why the delay, after which he apologized on her behalf. Stopped using them and they charge too much anyway and nothing special. Only reason I go there is the lady I use is good-Hiromi. The star rating does not reflect her work rather the salon n other staff!

This was my first time coming here. I wanted a single process done to cover my grays and even out my color. Kristen was my colorist. She was super friendly and bubbly and helped with some questions I had on hair color. I liked her personality. Since I (and they) were short on time since it was a last minute appointment, I left with my hair wet and opted to blow dry it when I got home.

After I was shampooed out, I immediately noticed how much richer my color was. I also noticed how I could not see any grays (unlike me using boxed color). The prices for a single process were pretty decent so I would come back for the price point and if it lasts long enough. I want to see how this color holds up so I will update my review in a few weeks!

Still having my extensions and color done by Gino at the Capelli salon. And I'm still amazed at how wonderful he is and how great everyone looks when they leave the Salon. Lol and I look pretty good too! If you're looking for extensions or just a great cut and style this is the go to place!
