Sorella started off strong - I used to frequent their Redmond location from the very beginning. Then I changed to a high end salon in Bellevue. Well I live in the Highlands now, and was excited that I could walk to their salon and avoid a drive into Bellevue. HUGE mistake. My color + cut was $400. Which is the most expensive service i've had. but if it was worth it, I would pay it.
Well - I'm not impressed at all. Now I understand my hair is in bad shape at the moment (going through a very hard time in my life), and have had my hair mostly in a bun so its been damaged. but never in my life have I left a salon with a complete frizzy mess. On top of that, it took forrrrrrever. I realize beauty takes patience. but my hair has never taken this long.
I feel bad complaining. because the stylist tried. but I just don't think she understood my hair type, or was having an off day. It happens to all of us. but $400 is just a total rip off for what I left the salon with. I'll be heading back to my previous salon in Bellevue next time. the drive is worth it!

Made an appointment for my 17 year old son. He asked if they had a styling product he described the 20.00 mouse he was using at home. The stylist recommend he get two products each was 48.00 which is not appropriate to recommend to a teenager he did not ask the price that's on him but a poor recommendation. Also one product was a dry shampoo he is a teen who plays sports and showers every day when would he use a dry shampoo. So when all was said and done with tip his total was 175.00 we clearly got taken advantage of. Horrible service

I had a hair cut done after 6 months, yes my hair quality was not that great because I just had a baby and I could not take care of myself. I mostly get haircuts done every 3-4 months. This time hair cut was done ok, but the blow dry was not good at all. My hair looks super frizzy after the hair do. As I came home my husband said you do a better hair styling at home rather than what your hair looks right now.
I asked the dresser to check again on blow dry, but it was not done nicely at all. Paying $90 for a haircut I expected my hair to be blow dried nicely. Guess I have to redo my hair.

On the fence about Sorella. I've gone there for years, probably about 10. So I'm not a new client or new to their business practices. However, since the pandemic I have found that my stylists (I have seen 2, depending on availability) do not take any time to style my hair. Finger drying and then a quick roller brush for the ends on some of my hair.
I used to walk out of this salon with my hair styled beautifully so I could go to dinner, etc. Now, I need to restyle myself if I plan on going anywhere. This is a pricey salon, so although I have no issue with my haircuts, I feel like I'm getting a little short changed on service. Maybe they now charge extra for a style, if so I'm not aware of it. During the beginning of the pandemic they didn't wash hair, or dry, (understandable) but they still charged full price.

Love this salon! I've been wanting to try it for ages, and finally did for a cut. Lacey cut my hair and did a fabulous job. I explained my hair type and showed her some photos of what I was looking for, then we discussed what would be best and she got to work! I have limp, flat, lifeless, fine, thin hair - and my hair was getting way too long for this type of hair I have. Lacey took off about 3.5 inches and it sure did help!
She did a blunt cut at about armpit length and added some face framing layers. During the styling process, she gave me some good tips for how to add volume to my hair. She also suggested getting extensions, which I might try next time. Will definitely be back to Sorella for my next hair appointment! PS: the salon felt very clean and safe during the pandemic!

First off love everything about this salon from the vibe to the customer service. But Savannah is the hair GOD I have always found such a hard time finding a hairstylist that i trust, But she does such an amazing job from the consultation to the final result. I get compliments on my hair DAILY. It's honestly never looked so good and never FELT so healthy even after multiple lightening services. She doesn't push your hair past it's limits and ensures the health and quality of your hair. I seriously count down the days until i see her next lol. 10/10 recommend.

I have been seeing Sydney for almost a year now, based on a recommendation from a good friend. She is absolutely the best stylist I have ever had! She really takes the time to listen to your lifestyle, so she can base your color and cut not only on what would look best with your features but also what you actually have time for! I highly recommend Sydney, I really could not imagine having anyone else do my hair.

Condensed: didn't get what I asked for, tipped twice, it's been 3 weeks and owner has not replied to my email even though I have called the reception desk and asked about when she will reply twice already. Last time I talked to a receptionist they said they'd cc me on the email they send to Jamie and she never did. Still haven't heard from either one.
Less than hospitable reception desk very unprofessional. Detailed: I asked for a dark brown balayage and instead got a highlight that was red/orange basically the same color as when I went in. I thought maybe it would look different when I went home so I tipped her 20% I came back 2 days later for a color correction and on the day of, they notified me it was gonna be an extra $80 to fix (since a balayage costs more than a highlight and for some reason I was given a highlight).
The second stylist did a good job of fixing it but it sucks that I had to bleach all over again further damaging my hair and spend more time at the salon. I assumed that they would refund me the first appointment so I could repay for the balayage and tip the proper stylist who actually did my hair correctly. So I ended up tipping the second stylist 20% as well.
I was told to email owner Jamie about my experience which I did on April 29th and still haven't heard back, called the salon and they told me she'd get to it, called again this time the receptionist said she'd email Jamie to see what's up and cc me and she didn't. Below is a photo of what I wanted and three photos of the red orange I got the first go round.
The only good thing about this salon was Sydney the colorist who fixed my orange hair. If you end up going here see her and try to overlook the poor reception management and ownership.
