Worst hair coloring. Nothing like what I asked for. Said I wanted a caramel/ light brown balayage and they did a very choppy and blonde highlight to my hair. I even showed them a picture that had small highlights to the front peices and they ended up dying my whole bangs blonde. Service: Hair coloring

Sarah / colorist = blonde goals achieved. She listened and understood then produced amazing results first time seeing her, plus was cool and easy to talk with. New to the area, checked out the salon for the first time a while ago based on a rec from a friend. had a cut/color on pretty short notice rolling the dice w stylists on my first visit. great they allow quick apts online.

Had a great cut from Greg. Probably the best haircut I've ever had. Highly recommend. also, the deep conditioning keratin treatment did wonders. they are a cash free salon, so bring your card.

The level of customer care has declined in this saloon since the change on management and most of the previous establish stylist left The last three times I scheduled a hair appointment the stylist were running behind over 10 minutes plus. It used to be stylist will get you within the few minutes of your schedule appointment now the customer have to check for updates on when the stylist will be seeing them.

The nonchalant and almost dismissive attitude about the customer time is troubling since Jene Juarez advertised a super experience from the moment the customer arrived to the saloon until they leave. This saloon is comparable with any other low budget hair saloon in the area and most likely they will honor your appointment time and charge you less.

Tori C made my hair look beyond beautiful. I was a bit skeptical about going here because of the reviews some people left but I am very pleased with my results. She was able to understand my vision for my hair and brought it to life. I am for sure going back! Service: Hair coloring

I got my hair cut yesterday by William yesterday and it was the worst haircut that I've ever gotten. Not only did he not cut it the way I asked, he cut it way too short and absolutely butchered it. The whole entire time I was in his chair, he talked about himself and didn't listen to anything I said. Even still, I left him a 20% tip, but thought I'd warn anyone else who might get him as their stylist.

This was probably the worst experience I've ever had. My appointment was cancelled and rescheduled 3 times because stylists called out. The person who ended up doing my hair, Amy, treated me like a complete after thought. I was there for 4 hours and was never even offered water. My color was atrocious, not even close to what I asked for. She wanted to charge me nearly $900 but because they had rescheduled my appointment so many times they said it would be free. They then charged me $150 because what I ended up getting was not what I was booked for. I will never let a "professional" touch my hair again

Love the stylist! They make sure to listen to what you want and always deliver. But In case you get home and realize your cut needs a little tweek, they'll get you right back in. They are all very professional and well trained.

Came in for an appointment for them to tell me that I missed the appointment time by 4 hours when they never called me or anything to let me know I missed it so I could've saved a trip to the place. I would've been okay if they called to change the appointment since I missed. But they didn't.

Second Gene Juarez I went too. Weird energy at this one. I'm thinking it's all the salons here. I Got snapped at a little for saying what I wanted on how many levels of lift I want on my hair and that all hair has red undertones. I'm not a stylist and even I know this. She thought I was literally saying I had red hair underneath. Stylist was blow drying my hair, another lady (on standby?) came over to help, both stylists pulling my wet bleached hair in different directions, literally moving me left and right on the chair(ps I had to go back for a redo) if I'm paying $140, why can't I get my hair styled? That's a lot of money to me for mediocre service, . I didn't realize how bad it was until I talked to someone else about it.

First time at this salon - my experience was just okay. The salon itself is very chic, modern and to me felt very fancy. I paid $100 for a haircut - I decided to donate my hair to Wigs For Kids and the fact that this salon would cut it and send it off was very appealing to me. I had pretty long hair and was hoping to still have shoulder length hair, we'll that did not happen.

The hair stylist kept chopping and chopping and I ended up with something between and pixie cut and a bob. It looked great after he styled and blow dried it for me but I washed my hair this morning and it looks very uneven with one side shorter than the other. The stylist was friendly and easy going and the products they use at this location were superb quality. Was expecting a lot more out of a $100 haircut.

I didn't come there to look pretty- I came to donate my hair what I did and I am happy and thankful or that. I don't think I will ever be returning to do any other services. My in salon experience was okay but the haircut not so much and the fact that it was WAYYY more than it should have been.

Definitely recommend this salon! Jeanette and Carlos are amazing, they definitely took care of me and I am so happy with my Jet Black hair! Great place to de stress and I've been treated like a royalty. It is pricey but service is extremely extravagant. I'll definitely come back to this place.

I have been going to this location off and on for years. My regular stylist retired awhile ago, and my colorist retired about six months ago. I went in about a week and a half ago, and happily met my new colorist Amy. I returned to see Heather. First off, both of these ladies are miracle workers. Seriously. I went in with quarantine hair- a botched dye job that left me with a large orange spot on the side of my head, and bangs I cut into my hair myself. Amy easily foiled the orange out, and added some soft balayage to the roots so it will not look bad growing out. Bonus is that she's super friendly and easy to get along with. Plus, there were some darker areas in the back that I noticed when I put my hair up, and I went back in and she fixed it, happily and at no charge. Heather is super cool, and always gets the cut spot-on.

She did beg me to let her do the bangs next time so she can blend them into the rest of the hair. Oops on my part! I'm so glad to have these two ladies as my new hair team.

My daughter got her haircut there last week and ask for a trim. The lady didn't say one word to her and cut 3 inches off of her hair mind you her hair was halfway down her back now it goes right below her shoulders almost. I hadn't really noticed how bad the cut really was but today she blow dried her hair and it's literally so uneven there's choppy pieces everywhere and I don't know what the lady was thinking.

I spent $94 on this haircut and I am never going back there again. I've been going to Gene Juraz for over 10 years and obviously I just wanted my daughter to have a really nice special day getting her haircut before the first day of school and I had to spend $94 for a horrible haircut now she doesn't want anyone to cut it and we just have to wait for it to grow out. I think I'm done going there waste of money. And if I could leave no stars I would because one star isn't even good enough for what they did to my daughters hair.

I came for a facial, nails, and haircut. The facial was okay. I was asked if I wanted to try the new facial they had that sucks out your blackheads. Interested, I said sure but the price is literally three times the facial I signed up for and I didn't find that the results were that great. When I clear my blackheads, I often see small holes in my nose from the cleared areas. Nothing.

The manicure was okay. She did a good job. The haircut is definitely worth it. Loved the style she gave me but completely unrepeatable. The only reason I won't be coming back is the high pressure sales tactic the facial person gave me. Consistently saying she "doesn't want to do any other facial again" and "hates doing other facials". So why are you there? It just completely made me feel like I wasn't interested in getting any further services which sucks because she was first in line.

They are doing a great job with all the restrictions due to covid. Download the app to make appointments and pay. Arrive 5 minutes, not sooner from your appointment time. They've cut out a lot of the comforts that comes with a spa but that's due to covid. Staff is friendly and all their stylist, esthethicians, etc. are knowledgeable and talented.

I actually wish I could give a half point deduction and give this place 4.5 out of 5 stars. Why? It's due to the app. I have yet to be able to check in via the app. It often tells me I am not close enough even though I am standing inside the salon.

Horrible customer service. For the price you pay the quality is just not there. I talked to the store manager because I wasn't satisfied with my service and she kept interrupting me and acted like she was uninterested and annoyed at my call. I've worked in customer service for over 10 years and this was the worst I've ever been treated. Sadly I will not be going back. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I had my color done by Rose this evening. I absolutely loved her artistry and creativity with my color. I have always had a great experience at Gene Juarez at the Tacoma Mall, both design and color. I am so impressed with the customer service, especially her willingness to work late this evening to do my color. I highly recommend Rose for color services and am looking forward to what she comes up with the next time I go in.

After years of searching for the perfect hair stylist I found him! I've been going to Jae for a few years now and I'm always amazed at the work he does. The compliments I receive after a cut and style are never ending. (Minus one star for a not so great balayage experience by a different person.)

I called at 7:30 and asked for a recall before 9, yet no one called me back. I was second in the line then first, but no one answered. Crappy customer service.

BRAH! The reviews are true, Amanda is the bombdiggity! This young lady made me feel like a pretty woman. With just a few snips of her magic shears she had me ready to sing ohh la la la! She is also adorable and a sweetheart to boot! Fast, funny, intelligent, kind, professional, and honest. What more could you want from a human and a hair stylist!

Came for balayage. They said full foil will be better, Came out with the same color and shade that I cane with. So disappointed. Paid 300$ for nothing. Please go to other places

I had a fabulous experience with Kenzie. Touch up plus low lights. I am so glad I went with her color selections. She is very knowledgeable.

The front desk and staff are all very friendly and professional, but what makes this salon standout is Jae and Yubi! Jae a master of cuts and styling. He cuts in a way that makes it very easy to style at home and he understands the style that flatters the shape of my face and style. Yubi is an artist of balayage. She is listens carefully to the style you want and communicates in a way that we can understand. Highly recommend both Yubi and Jae!
