Happy To Be Nappy

Went about 2 months ago on a Saturday. Super busy, no seats and stylist didn't even know I had an appointment. At this point it didn't even matter if you had an appointment or was just a walk in! I waited for about 40 mins until I was serviced. Sadiah (not sure of the spelling) finished my hair within 20 mins. My hair was full of jam and I had about 40 locs in my head. I knew at that very moment to never return. I kept a cap on my head until I visited another shop who thought I twisted my own hair (it was just that bad).

I had my first visit to happy to be nappy on Friday April 1st for a consultation. After the young lady felt the texture of my hair, I was given a 1:00 pm appointment for Saturday April the 2nd, where I was greeted at the front desk by the young lady name Nai. Nai was very polite and professional. She washed and conditioned my hair, and i waited a few minutes before my hair stylist Na had me to come up front and sit in her chair. Na styled my hair in twist, and sat me under the hair dryer.

After about 30 minutes of drying, I was called back up front. While waiting for Na to complete her work, she ask me if I need a line up and fade on the sides. I responded yes. That's when Na introduced me to a young brother named Tracy. The young man Tracy is a master with a pair of Clippers. He did a great job. I then went back to Na station, and she put the Finishing Touches on my new look hair do.

Now I have a appointment set for every two weeks to get my hair retwisted. The prices were very reasonable. I tipped all three. Thank you guys for a great job. I'm happy to be nappy. We must continue patronize our black owned businesses, and support one another in everything we do. Unk.

First 2 times I went was perfect. 3rd time I came in at 11am as a walk in with my own dye. I only have the top of my head locked. After 2 hours one of the sisters (Not Gya) asked to speak with me about what I wanted done. She made me feel like I did something wrong for wanting a dye, retwist and style as a walk in. I understood exactly where I was at and the type of people they service so she basically tried to charge me $150.

I have never paid over $70 in that shop and I basically got called a liar and she continued to ask me if I at least had $100. I did not so I just left. I will never recommend anyone else to this shop and I'm never coming back. Very Unprofessional

Really poor customer service, and the stylist caused so much breakage in my locs because of how tight she was pulling it should be illegal, wouldn't recommend. Service: Hairstyling

I. love coming to the business and the person that does my hair is awesome. but the one thing that really bothers me is they way they talk they have really bad mouth's mostly from the women and it's really bad when children are around. this will be my last visit. looking for another place to go thank you but no thank you.and it's bad when the owner is in the place.

Was treated very rudely by this stylist when I came in for services, I have micro lock and how they mad me feel when asking can someone retighten my hair was overwhelming, embarrassing, & disrespectful. I deal with people everyday being a practitioner I have never in my right mind never thought to do a human being that way. I was trying to find a place without having to wait so long a price was never a problem for me. it's been since May 25 I had my hair tightened I just wanted a local place to go.

The hair stylist lady with the blonde lock as she started taking my locks apart she has a look on her face as she new she didn't want to do my hair, but she touched my hair anyway embarrassing me calling another person over saying I didn't want to do it I don't know how to do that there not sista lock I don't know what that is she talk to me as if I was nothing saying you can come to her or wait till she done put in this relaxer she's bout to start on a man lock wow clearly they don't know what they're doing lock is natural this place is not right and I'm thankful that I didn't received have there service the place is to ghetto no class at all.

I showed up earlier in the day to make an appointment I only needed a style I was asked to stay but I was working at the time I said I'm off @ 530p could I come back I was told yes when I came back the lady that told me I could come back wasn't there I was told we are closed after I said I was here earlier and was told I could come back two other females told me that I should've stayed after about 15mins it was a young lady I didn't catch her name she ended up styling my locs which only took her 5mins to do I want to shout out her for taking a few minutes of her time to get me back right (I feel that it should be more communication in the work place so this doesn't have to happen) just think I could be a Secret Shopper

If you go here, Will is one of the best, he has a gentle and calm spirit. I feel like alot of stylists are not knowledgeable about locs, they just try to make it look nice but use all kind of bad things for your locs. So I bring my own products, A young lady tried to tell me that they only could used their products. I laughed, not on my hair. I've meet JB, him and Will energy are great energies! The men in the shop are the best to go to! They are a young, urbanized crowd. I will say that I liked my hair, my retwist lasted for weeks.

Will did a great job on my son's coil twist. He told us how to take care of the style and how important a follow up appointment is to help his hair lock. I would definitely recommend Will.

First time was awesome. The wash was so good! Nay was very professional and interactive. Let's see how the 6wk re twist goes.
