Cecilia Sammons, owner of Salon Bellissimo has been a hair stylist for more than thirty years.
For more than 50 years, Kenra has been formulating and producing hair care products using only the finest ingredients. Kenra is a privately held company, and we take great pride in our approach to doing business. While we are constantly moving our research and development into the future and working to discover innovative ingredients and results, our approach to doing business has not changed: We provide personalized support to our customers, we treat every customer with the highest regard, we create and formulate high performance hair care products, and we execute programs for salons that build customer loyalty.

Kathy was great! She was kind and accommodating to my allergies and didn't dismiss me like other places have. She took care of my hair and trimmed it just the right amount, and I love the style at the end! Services: Haircut, Hairstyling

Such a great salon. They are all so welcoming and make you feel like you could tell them anything. They are really patient and will get you exactly where you wanna be with your hair goals. I just recently switched stylist because my other stylist left and when I went to Kara she made me feel so welcomed and asked me about the background on my hair.

It was a very scary moment because I went from a natural blonde to a brunette which is always pretty scary but Kara made me feel better in the end with my decision. Overall always such a great experience.

Went to Lynsie for a haircut specifically for my curly hair. She gave me a phenomenal dry cut tailored to my head shape! Yes, head shape. She washed & styled my hair before putting some final cuts in. She was so knowledgeable and really took her time. She also gave me tips for how to wash & style my curly hair. I booked my next appointment on the spot, which I never do. The price was super affordable compared to places I've gone to get a very subpar haircut. Can't recommend her enough!

My first visit was last week and I know I will be back! I have been looking for a stylist who specializes in curly hair and Lynsie really knows what shes doing! She talked me through the process and gave me awesome tips for maintaining my curls. Highly recommend for curly haired girls and customer service was top notch. Thank you for a great experience and giving my curls some life again!

I came here a couple weeks ago for the first time in a decade. I was honestly a bit afraid since its been so long since I've professionally got my hair done, especially putting blonde in it. My appointment was with Lyndsey. She was super sweet and down to earth and I enjoyed having conversation with her. The session beginning to end took about 2 1/2 hours, which I appreciated because it showed me that she took her time with making sure she gave me exactly what I wanted. Needless to say, My hair turned out PERFECT! and I assure you, I won't go to anyone else BUT Lyndsey!

Tiffany is GREAT! I set up an appointment for my wife and Tiffany was on time with letting us in, set up to start immediately, professional, super nice, conversationally adept, and seamlessly multitasks. Overall, very pleased with Salon Bellissimo.

I absolutely love them! They used to give out the besttt cappuccinos in the cutest mugs! They also do amazing on my hair every time! Super sweet people and just overall a great environment.

I will not go back, and regret spending $150 to cry over a haircut. I had Melissa for my first visit. I have curly hair and needed a cut before my wedding. Melissa was unnecessarily short with me. She would ask me questions about my hair routine or my knowledge about how to take care of curly hair only to cut me off and tell me about all the theory and practice that is the curly hair method.

The information was a very valuable reminder and I specifically went to a curly hair specialist with the mindset to learn. But I just felt judged and unwelcome. I initially gave her excuses but as she continued talking down at me, I couldn't help feeling small. What I expected to be a fun time preparing for my wedding turned into tears. When she asked what was wrong I explained that I did not appreciate her attitude and treatment.

I also explained that I am interested in learning from her if only she can stop being short with me. She apologized, which I appreciated. As I continued my sessions, Melissa made a few comments that made me realize she just does not understand African tight curls and the realistic routines they require. Overall she was more focused on teaching than grounding her knowledge in the reality of those who have curls that are not like hers. I don't love my hair cut, but I also don't hate it. It turned out fine and she did cut it curl by curl.

I went for the first time to get an updo and I absolutely loved it. They were very welcoming as soon as I walked in. Tonya did my hair and she was really good about making sure I liked the way everything looked before pinning it down and spraying it. She was also really great with helping me decide what I wanted because I wasn't exactly sure. It was definitely the best experience I've ever had with getting my hair done and I LOVED the final result.

I love the attention that Lynsie gives my hair. She is really good with curly hair and my hair feels so much healthier when I leave there. I left a hairdresser that I was going to for over 15 years and I ask on Facebook, Downriver friends, where was the best place to go for curly hair and Ballissimo came up very often. I highly recommend.

I made my appointment with Melissa, the Curly Girl Specialist. All I can say is WOW! She was Fantastic! She knows her stuff and has a TON of experience. She taught me SO MUCH in a couple of hours, that I was just over the moon! She is worth EVERY PENNY she charges for her services! The salon is nice, clean, and comfortable. Easy access to anyone downriver. I didn't wait for my appointment either. She was on time and professional. I AM LOVIN' MY CURLS!

I have went and saw Sarah twice now, once for my engagement makeup and once for a facial. Both times were awesome experiences! I was very happy with my results. Definitely would recommend going to see her!

I made an appt. at the salon to turn my dark hair into a blonde ombre hair style (knowing my hair wouldn't get bleach blonde, but at least a pretty carmel color said the stylist). My hair came out very brassy yellow at first and the stylist after put on a toner. It still didn't look right to me, so the stylist ended up coloring my hair back to the same color as I walked in with.

I questioned the stylist if I was going to be charged one or the other, so she went to talk to Crista. Normally at a professional salon, this type of mistake, most likely, have been free. Crista originally wanted to charge me $200 for both, the ombre color that didn't turn out like we thought, along with the new original color I walked in with.

I also know how cheap color really is before salons hike up the prices, so it's not like they would have lost a fortune. My stylist felt very uncomfortable and only charged $150 and stressed to me not to tip her because it was still so expensive. I called the owners the very next day since they were not there and left a detailed message. Crista, not the owners, ended up calling me back, and I explained to her the situation, asking to meet somewhere in the middle (for example, a 50$ gift card to spend at the salon on product.) She talked to her parents and they all came to an agreement that there is nothing they can do!

So at the end of the day, I walked in the salon hoping to leave with a different hair color, and left $150 out of my pocket with the same hair color I walked in with. I feel the owners and or managers, care a lot more about making money than making the clients happy. I will unfortunately never come back here again.

Getting married on a Sunday presents challenges. One of the greatest was finding a salon that was open on a Sunday. I called a dozen salons in and around Dearborn with no luck. I even offered to pay more if someone was willing to come in for me, but no one would budge! My wedding was in two weeks and my original hairdresser backed out. I needed an appointment because there's no way I could do my own hair.

I called Salon Bellissimo after seeing their good star ratings on Google. When I asked if they'd be able to do just one updo on a Sunday, they said they'd have to look into it and give me a call back. I sunk back into my depression and assumed I'd never hear back from them. I got a call a couple hours later. They were able to find a stylist who was willing to come in on her day off! JOY!

I asked about what I should expect to pay when I came in, the receptionist quoted me anywhere from $65-$85 depending on the complexity of the style I wanted. That seemed fair to me. I feel bad but I can only guess my stylist's name. I think it was Kathy. Anyway, she was an angel who did an amazing job on my hair. She was able to take my general idea of what I wanted and made it reality in less than an hour and a half.

I loved that she was a talker, too. Nothing is more awkward than sitting in a styling chair for over an hour in silence. After our introductions, she got right to work! She curled all of my hair and then pinned each curl into an immaculate updo. I was so impressed by her attention to detail that I was scared to know how much she would charge me! When she was all done and we walked to the counter, she said my total was $55. What? That's less than what I was quoted.

I was dumbfounded; I expected to pay much more. I tipped her $20 and made my way to the ceremony site. I received more compliments on my hair than I did my dress! Salon Bellissimo went above and beyond by opening for me on a day they don't normally operate. I'd totally go back to this salon for regular hair care because their prices are reasonable, they use good products and have a nice, clean salon.
