Very nice ladies and will definitely be back when I need my next haircut! I love that I can make Saturday appointments.

I scheduled an appointment with Sherri to fix a haircut from another salon that made me feel like I had an uneven blunt bowl cut. Sherri worked her magic and gave me exactly the cut I was looking for the first time, and even kept as much length as possible! She gave me tons of super helpful tips for care and styling of my new cut. Sherri is a fantastic stylist who really listens to what you want and caters the cut to your specific needs.

I hate to have a hair style that requires a ton of effort to look polished (or even close to what it looks like leaving a salon) and my new haircut only requires a quick blow dry to look great. I would highly recommend Sherri!

Luci is amazing. She does my color and has been helping me grow my pixie into a bob without looking crazy.

Sarah cut my hair! She did a fantastic job, it turned out exactly how I wanted. I'm really happy with my experience there. She was professional and genuinely nice, she made me feel really comfortable. I'll be going back to her from now on!

Had a really nice time with Sarah at Luci's salon today. She seems to have experience and expertise with alternative haircuts, shorter cuts on women, and bleached and vivid colored hair. I felt like she really took her time with my haircut, and was super nice and supportive at every point. It was reasonably priced (45, with short/to medium length hair) and she explained everything she was doing, and why. Very happy with the results, and I will definitely come back for color in the future.

I went to get my hair colored pink with Morgan, and she was beyond helpful and welcoming. Best experience I have had with a salon and fair pricing. I would highly recommend for anything related to color. Stylists are clearly passionate and transparent with you.

I have gotten my hair highlighted and cut by Luci several times now. I have been to MANY other hair salons all over Elk Grove, Sacramento, etc. I am so happy to have finally found this hair salon in Davis! Luci is such a caring and generous individual, and she does such a great job cutting and coloring my hair. My hair is somewhat hard to work with, and Luci is always patient and very attentive to what I'm asking her for, and achieves the color/style I want every time. Luci is so skilled and has been doing hair for decades, she knows what she is doing and never tries to overcharge for any service.

Book an appointment with Luci if you want a quality haircut, and/or highlights. A last detail which I appreciate about Luci is that she will not chemically burn your hair or dry it out. ALL other salons I have been to make this mistake, ever since going here my hair has been at its healthiest. Book an appointment here, and look no further! (the other stylists here seem amazing as well from what I've witnessed)

I came all the way from Fairfield because I did not trust any salon in that area with my hair. When I booked an appointment here, it was honestly a whole vibe. Sarah took such great care of my hair and she followed through with all of my requests. She was also very gentle with my bleached hair. Would definitely drive all the way from FF just for this salon. Also the prices are insanely affordable for good service.

I waited a while to write this review to see how the cut would grow out, and I must say I really like it! The cut gave my hair a lot of volume and is what I asked for. My problem is that I paid $70 for less than 20 minutes in the salon. My wash was very rushed with no massaging of the shampoo or conditioner (my favorite part of going to the salon!).

To make it worse, Luci didn't finish drying my hair completely, so I walked out to a chilly November night with a cold scalp. I would return for the cut, but never for the experience and price. I expected much better service for the $70 price tag on a simple cut. Yes, some of the rush may have been due to COVID, but my previous salon still made me feel pampered while being COVID safe.

I was also the last customer of the night (but early for my appointment), so I know it wasn't an issue of Luci being behind or trying to squeeze in another person. I think she just wanted to get home and rushed me out.

First off, I wanna say that I really love the vibes in this place. It is a casual work place and you can definitely tell that the employees like working there. My stylist (Sarah) was very good. Everything I asked for, I received. I also really liked how she helped guide me through my styling choices when I was confused. Overall great service and I think it's worth it for the price!

Best Salon in davis hands down. If you're in search of a friendly staff and great environment, this is the place.

Got a wash and cut with Luci just now. The place was clean and comfy. She sanitized the seat and work area before I sat down. Did a thorough job cutting off my dead hair but styling in some layers so it still looked full (I have thin but curly hair that has taken a beating from bleach and months of Arizona sun and hard water, so it was a challenge I'm sure).

She suggested techniques and products and follow up care without being pushy. And the price that was stated was the price I paid, plus tip. I also dont usually talk much during a cut but she was easy to talk to without being super chatty. My hair feels healthy and has a great cut now. I'll be going back to her from now on.

Been awhile since my last haircut with Sherri, but I'm so happy to be back! She cut my hair exactly how I wanted. She put life back in my hair! Always welcoming, and the salon is taking all necessary precautions during the covid era. Cleaning and disinfecting between clients, masks required, limited occupancy. I am so happy with my fresh new haircut!

Morgan is Da' BOMB! :-) She's been cutting my hair for a couple of years now and always does a great job. She's so good with my 8-year-old son. He's been growing out his hair for a while, and was very reluctant to even get it trimmed. She talked with him for a few visits whenever I was getting my hair cut, gave him ideas, and most of all, communicated so well with him. Last time we were there, he got a trim :-) Been going to Luci's for a couple of years now. Very clean and they do so well sticking to COVID standards and regulations.

Normally the uploaded photos (which look a whole lot like Jana B's review from 2018) would be enough explanation, but I have a bit of a story. Also, I got the service in 2018 as well, but just decided to write a review when I found the photo in my phone lol. After I made the appointment, the owner Luci texted me to discuss. I sent her a photo of my hair, the ends of which had been bleached and dyed red before, at that time now sort of a strawberry blonde color.

I had asked to start the color farther down my hair than in the sample photo, and to add in a bit of am ombre effect. I know what I was asking for might have been difficult, but I would certainly have appreciated knowing exactly what was possible/could be done. Well in the end as you can see half my hair was black and the other half was bright red.

There were obvious spots in the border where the dye was applied to each lock of hair. Plus, there were black patches in the middle of the red where the dye didn't reach. In the end I was pretty embarrassed and reached out to another Davis salon. They blended the transition between the black and red, and actually contacted Luci about the situation.

She agreed to fix the black patches for free, which was really nice of her, so I can't give too low of a rating. I awkwardly returned, and another stylist in her salon did it. Another note is about the price. On the website I believe the starting price for my service was $120. After texting and sending Luci photos, she said it would be $150 (which I didn't question since my hair's long).

In the end she charged me $189. For some reason I thought that the tip was included in that increased price so I didn't tip further, which in hindsight was probably not the case and pretty dumb of me. Some points outside of the hair service: The salon environment and location looked amazing. My hair smelled very fragrant for days after. Luci was a nice person. There's no dedicated parking (at least when I went) so you have to park on the side of the street. The location is near downtown so a lot of the parking is 2-hour; even the employees often have to relocate their cars which sucks.

Morgan did an AMAZING job with my hair! I told her I didn't know much about highlights and lowlights but she really educated me and walked me through the whole process! She's super talented and takes time with her work! I haven't had my hair done in 4 years so I am extremely happy Morgan took time with me and made my hair look natural and more like me! I will be back for sure!

Mallory did a great job with my hair! The products she used all smelled great, and my hair is soft and smooth after leaving the shop. I love the cut, and Mallory did a great job with little instruction from me (i always trust the stylist to do what they think will look best since they're the ones dealing with hair all days). Will be back!

I was visiting Davis and found Luci. Her 5 star reviews are all hard earned. I was overdue for a highlight and my stylist in Austin had injured her hand, so I decided to get my hair done in Davis. I called and Luci promptly returned my call. She exceeded all expectations and I feel like I now have a friend in Davis! I also know who to all if I need to buy a house-if she knows even a fraction as much about real estate as she does about hair, I will be in great hands! Highly recommend!

This was my first time getting my hair done in Davis and let me just say, I LOVE this place! I was lucky enough to have Mallory who did my hair and she listened to what I wanted and I couldn't be more happier with result! The employees are nice and friendly and I would absolutely recommend!

This review is for Mallory, and includes a full color and hair cut. Mallory is WONDERFUL! We first met up for a consultation. I have a lot of hair, and she was super easy to talk to. I told her what color I wanted and she made sure to order it for just the right shade! (Pulp Riot's velvet is gorgeous). We did a haircut first and my hair felt rejuvenated and super healthy.

She did a wonderful job giving me great layers while letting me keep my length. I came back later in the week for my color and I know that I'm a bit to work with. She took her time, didn't cut corners, and blended in absolutely beautiful pieces into my hair! She was super respectful of the fact that I expressed I'm not very talkative. She let me just enjoy my reading while she went to work, and was very pleasant to be around.

My hair is very dark, and she pulled it to a pretty impressive lightness while not drying it out or damaging it at all. The hair masque products are delightful. 10 / 10 super recommend!

With organic hair products and an adorable salon space, going to Luci's Salon-Studio was life-changing. Mallory and Morgan expertly helped tame my hair in preparation for a conference. Mallory patiently answered all my questions and I walked out the door the best haircut of my life. I can't thank her enough! Stop by.you won't regret it!

I would recommend Luci's Salon to anyone looking for quality work. My first time going in, I was able to book a same day appointment during my lunch hour. I was so pleased with my experience that I returned again. My stylist is Mallory and she is very knowledgeable.

Positives: The salon is in a quaint location and the stylists are very friendly. Super-sweet - especially Morgan. I'll give the stylists props for their vivid color jobs; they do nice work on those, and I've noticed that men leave the shop pleased with their cuts/styles. As for other services.the stylists do put a lot of effort into their coloring, cuts, and styling, but there's a problem.

I so dislike posting this, but.the salon is way, way too pricey for work done by stylists with a lack of experience. If you're thinking about making an appointment here, I strongly encourage you to be very clear about the service you expect and what you want your hair to look like before your stylist starts the work - and be absolutely sure that she understands what you're goal is.

Maybe bringing a pic or 2 would be a smart idea. *EDITED*: I was displeased with a defensive message I received from the owner of Luci's immediately after posting this review. After some communication I want to say that she was kinder and has agreed to refund my payment for the service I had a problem with.

I had a great experience at this salon! It's a small place, comfortable but professional. I love that the products they use are organic, and they are lightweight and smell nice. Mallory did an excellent job with my cut. She was very sweet and really knew what she was doing. Luci obviously knows how to pick her mentees. : A HUGE step up in quality from the chain hair salons I'm used to. Worth every penny!

Lucie and Morgan, so friendly and inviting! Love my razor cut! New Organic Product smell amazing! I love being able to seat in a chair and know I'm in great hands!
