They don't have experience in short haircuts, the stylist seems to be inexperienced. She literally spoiled my hairs, one side of the hair is noticeably short and other side is long. They have senior stylist too she should have done the haircut. anyways god bless me to grow them faster. Service: Hairstyling

DON'T GO THERE! I went there today for a hair dye job and had the worst experience of my life! The stylist did a very poor job and was gossiping all the time. She left the dye on my hair for an hour instead of the normal 35 minutes and wasted my time. I waited quietly for the 1 hour and finally after she washed my hair she left me with dripping wet hair and said she was done. I asked her politely to dry my hair bit and she very rudely said that she will charge me for a blow dry. She even left dye all over my skin Never going back there

My husband and son have been going here for years. They always have a promo on their website. They do a great job with thick blonde hair scissor top.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Value Taylor is a wonderful and kind stylist that listens to the needs of her clients. Whenever i want my hair to be cut a certain way, she will add her input if the style will work with my hair type and she makes it possible. I have been coming to this Salon for quite sometime now and Taylor is Amazing! I go every 4 weeks to have her color my hair. I have very sensitive skin around my hairline & she always remembers to put cream around it so my skin stay's protective! She definitely is an Asset to the Salon and a Wonderful Person to be around! Absolutely fantastic! I've been going to the Milltown location for years, but I stopped in to this location for a cut and color. Taylor was so fun to talk with! I love her energy and her casual banter. I was there for almost 3 hours getting a color and it felt like 20 minutes I was having so much fun. Taylor knows her stuff! 10/10 I would recommend any of my friends to go see her.

While my experience last week was disappointing in every way, today I went in to see Megan who offered to fix it at no extra cost and she was INCREDIBLE. If you go, ask for Megan specifically, she is phenomenal. She made sure I was happy with the color and did all kinds of things to restore my hair's strength and health. She also gave me the cutest haircut I've had in years. I was sobbing after my appt last week but tonight I can't stop touching my hair and taking pictures!

It was my first time here. And I have to say I'm impressed. Taylor was really good. She knew what she was doing and the results were really good. Definitely recommend her if you want to get a nice haircut and a perm. Also they gave me this thank you goodie bag which had all these samples and coupons. I loved it.

I've recently started getting my hair cut at Sweeney Todd and I couldn't be happier. On top of giving great hair cuts, everyone that works there is a pleasure to talk with. They really make you feel welcome and I can tell they all genuinely love what they do. I can finally stop searching for a place to get my hair cut! I highly recommend them to everyone!

Today I went for a haircut and the hair dresser seemed to be very busy as I asked her to do a blow-dry ahe said I am very busy can't do it. Very unprofessional I felt I had a very good experience with Kelly but she doesn't work on weekends so had no choice and if you call and take an appointment it's their duty to satiy the client completely. I was not happy with my experience this time.

I got Taylor and she was great. She was patient and listened to what I wanted. I was a little nervous because I've never been there before but I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be going back. Also, can't beat their prices!

I came here for a simple haircut. I was able to get an appointment quickly and the price is very reasonable! ($14 for my long hair) The hair stylist Deanna did exactly what I want so I am very satisfied:) Will definitely come back!

Would definitely recommend this place! I have been going to Deanna since the salon relocated. She has colored, styled, and cut my hair and I have never left disappointed! She is friendly, patient, and thorough- which is so important bc I am extremely indecisive!

I have easy hair to cut, so I usually just look for the cheapest place around. You can't beat the price here. Additionally, the salon is always clean and they always get me right in, even without an appointment. The women who work here are super friendly too!

Nikki cut my hair. She was in training (so no charge) but you wouldn't know because she actually did a wonderful job. Nice place, clean, and they kept my appointment time. If you give your address and email they will also send you coupons and specials. Definitely recommend.

I went today and aside from it being a bit stuffy inside (the AC was broken), it was a perfectly fine cut. I just got my ends trimmed off, but the woman who did it (didn't catch her name, but she was tanned and had long red/black hair) was polite and knew what she was doing. The price is great as well. Can't really beat that.

I was very hesitant to try a new hair salon, but I do not regret coming here one bit! They were able to fit me into their schedule on such short notice. Granted, it was a bit of a wait, but I didn't have any complaints. Deanna is amazing and actually listened to what I wanted. I wanted to cut my hair a bit shorter, but I'm glad she shared her input as well and suggested that I keep it at collarbone length so that I could still pull it into a ponytail for the summer.

She didn't force her opinion on me, but merely shared a personal experience with her decision against super short hair. I ended up getting a wash, cut, and blow-dry all for only $35 (as opposed to the usual $50 I spend at my normal salon). After the blow-dry, my hair looked fabulous, and I got numerous compliments. Deanna also took some time to show me which products would be best for my hair. If you're gonna book an appointment here, definitely ask for Deanna!

Usually I always go to the one down the street from me in milltown always great haircuts and always have promotions and accept any coupons I got a coupon for this one for this one and they wouldn't accept it! They said it was from shoprite and I needed the receipt went to my regular one showed them my phone and the print out and they accepted it don't even waste your time going to this one, it's obvious there is no professional curtesy.

I rather use the coupon and use the difference to give to the stylist I see why there were one 2 people in there and the other one was packed I have a appointment for 3 with them the one in milltown is the best. Not to mention the way the spoke to me was as if I presented them some fake coupon what's the deal with that super rude, was reading other reviews about the cuts themselves who knows what kind of pride they may even take on their work if they care that much about money.

Really bad business move though lose a lot more money in the long run doing business like that. For anyone thinking about going to Sweeney Todd go to the one in milltown they are much more polite and are always busy must be a reason why they are.

Love this place. Although at a new location, been going since i was 9 years old. These ladies are wonderful, talented, and sweet. Megan, kelley (kelly), and stacey stacey have done my hair and they are all phenomenal. Highly recommend this place for a great cut and beautiful color. Would love to give this salon 20 stars.

Would not recommend this place because of how unfriendly the employees are - I went in there for a trim and the woman who cut my hair (she has short purple hair) rolled her eyes at me when I asked for 1/4 inch off and made me feel worse about my damaged hair (my hair is damaged because it was bleached. It was bleached at Sweeney Todd). I will not be going back.

Zero stars. Worst hair cut place ever! Instead of admitting they didn't know how to achieve the style I wanted, they chose to cut it wrong and then try to explain to me that the way they cut it is actually the way I wanted it. I'm pissed! They butchered my hair the last time I went there and I decided to give them another shot with a different stylist and I guess that's my bad because I hate my haircut again. Don't go here for men's cuts

I have been here a few times. The 1st chair hairdresser is good but she has regular clients and has never taken me, with or without appointment. The girl on 2nd chair is ok. I go to her for basic trims 2-3 times a year because she does the job and you can't beat the prices. My bangs, which are trimmed regularly, are trusted upon someone else.

I experienced a new hair salon on Saturday - Sweeney Todd Haircutters in South Plainfield. I had an appt and came a little early and was taken right away. I went with a new hair stylist, Chrissy and she did a fabulous job! I was going in for just a hair color and through conversation, got some highlights too! I received so many compliments. I would recommend this salon and this new hair stylist Chrissy! 5 Stars *****

I am new in town and really needed a haircut. This place is cute and very clean. Kelly cut my hair and was very friendly. I like the prices and they are very personable. It is not fancy but you do feel like you are being listened to. I am satisfied and will be going back.

Small, cozy place. Oversall so-so experience. Pros: Short wait with appointment PRICE Somewhat friendly, did not make unnecessary fake small talk Cons: Refused to take 5 mins to blow-dry my hair because she did not have time.that's just bad business. Did a poor job of shampoo/rinse (spent like 30s. I had to ask her if there was still soap in my hair) I asked her for hair advice.

She responded politely but only gave short, direct answers. Wasn't very helpful. My haircuts have def looked better. It's not terrible but I'm not thrilled either. I'd be pissed if it weren't so cheap.

I love the a la carte pricing. A haircut is just $15 and they won't blowdry and style it unless I actually want them to. Unfortunately, the stylist who cut my hair was not friendly (didn't say a word to me once she started cutting) and did a terrible job. UPDATE: I went back and had a senior stylist (their rates are a little bit higher) give me highlights and a cut and she did a wonderful job!

She was friendly and honest. Gave me her opinion but respected mine. And everything turned out amazing! UPDATE: I have gone back several times now (mainly for highlights) and found another employee there who is just as good as the senior designer! (The senior designers cost a little more). But both of these girls were very friendly and chatty (but not too much) and did an excellent job on my hair!

For the price, I won't go anywhere else! Oh and they also have awesome hours. I have since increased my review to four stars because I only had that one bad experience with a specific hair stylist and I have not seen her there since. I also wanted to respond to Kisa below. When I first went for highlights there, I told the senior designer that I wanted red and I picked out the color.

She informed me that red highlights on my hair would fade fast and that blonde would work better. While I knew what she was saying, I was not interested in blonde highlights. I did have to be more assertive than I should have been but I was firm on my decision and told her that I definitely wanted red. Well, when the highlights came out, she thought they were perfect! And i loved them too. So, while I do sort of agree that they might try to pressure you into something they want -- it's your hair, you make the final decision.
