A 1990 graduate of International Academy of Hair Design in Daytona Beach, Florida, Paula has always had a passion to use her creativity to help make people feel good about themselves. Ten years after moving to Connecticut, Paula opened P.J. & Company Salon in Shelton in 2001 where she has helped hundreds of women, men, and children feel even more beautiful.

Kind, courteous, friendly and professional staff. Very clean. Paula always does an amazing job cutting my hair. I felt comfortable enough with her to go from long, one length hair to an extremely short and stylish cut. I can give her an idea of what I want and she makes it happen. Every time she has cut my hair I have gotten numerous compliments. Thank you Paula!

From Cindy and Erika's smiling faces at the door, to every stylist in the building, this place makes me feel so beautiful and welcome. When I moved back to CT, I was battling depression and Paula helped me change my whole style and feel AMAZING. I'm not sure how she does it, but my hair comes out brilliant every time (even when I tell to just "do something"). Alexa does my color and that girl also knows what the heck she is doing. I did some peekaboo colors for the second time, they stay so well in my hair and make me feel too damn cool. Thank you Pj and Company for everything you do!

High quality service, fantastic professional atmosphere, great products! For the past 8 years I've had my hair treated in Manhattan and have been reluctant to switch anywhere new, until my friend told me about her amazing experience at PJ & Company with stylist Erica. I scheduled a consultation with Erica and have permanently switched to using her services due to the particular attention, detail, and fresh transformation she gives me each time. Definitely recommend for those seeking high professional standards with their stylist and hair care.

Excellence! I love this salon and all the stylists here! I have high demands and Erica never disappoints me! I always leave the salon feeling 10 years younger after my cut and color that compliments my skin tone. The atmosphere in the salon is always professional and relaxing. I've been going to PJ and Company for a few years. The salon is clean and everyone is friendly. I have difficult hair that I've never known how to maintain, style, or know what to do with. Erica has always done a fabulous job and I get multiple compliments from strangers and friends. She's the only hairdresser I trust 100 percent with my hair and I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone.

Having recently moved to the area, my co-worker recommended me to the salon. I've had my hair cut & highlighted two times now, once by Paula and once by Emily. Both did phenomenal jobs. I have dirty blonde hair, and sometimes I find stylists tend to either go too yellow or too gray-like. Both times my hair turned out exactly how I asked with thin, natural looking highlights. I also loved my haircuts : I'll be back!

Love this place! Just came from my appointment with Gina, who cut my long, very over-due locks. I got a great style (i was so overdue that it was definitely more than just a "trim"), she even blew it dry and styled it to show me how pretty I now am! Many places charge extra for the blow/style, but Gina did not- hopefully thats the case with all cuts- but im not sure, so dont bank on this info without checking with the salon first! Gina was not only helpful, but she actually listened to me!
She explained what she saw, what she wanted to see and even went in depth into my future highlight appointment (scheduled for the future, which i now wish i had just done today!)- unlike some other places where I feel like im being ignored or treated like a child who theyd prefer would just shut it. Gina took the time to tell my why what I wanted was or was not appropriate for my hair type and even went a step further to explain other hair types (pointing people out in the salon) so I could take in all the info to truly understand.
I really appreciated that!. The cut would normally have been approx $60, but thanks to their super awesome first-timer deal, I got 50% off and only paid approx $30. (Prices are approx because I think it depends on your hair length, etc). I love this cut so much that I know ill be back. The highlights are on the pricey side, but they do have a referral program, and honestly, ive been through enough to know that when you find someone good you pay them well and stick with them or forever hold your complaints. Im going to be bringing in anyone in the area who notes that they need a cut/color! Gina explained that the salon has extensive color options and professionals, so that made me even happier! Hey y'all, merry Christmas and Happy Hanuka, youre probably getting a GC to PJs from me this year (shhhhhh.)

This salon is fantastic! The owner Paula does THE BEST colors and cuts! I have never been disappointed, which says a lot since I am a former Cosmetologist and usually their worst critic. Each and every one of the staff is friendly, professional, and extremely talented! The salon is by far the cleanest I have ever seen. It is very evident that they all take a lot of pride in their careers as well as providing a warm, comfortable atmosphere for their clients! Definitely schedule your appointment.you will not be disappointed!
