If you're looking for a new salon, Walnut Creek's Salon Cartier is it! I've watched for years as stylists come and go, color, cut and style. Each and every one is awesome and they listen. Great cuts (long or short), great color and a friendly, lively, fun place to be, as well. A good friend recently relocated to SoCal where she's had two haircuts. She now makes regular trips to NorCal and says, "No one cuts hair like Robin".

Great haircut! Robert was able to figure out what I wanted from some old pictures I had. He really listened and this is the best my hair has looked in a long time.

Many kudos! WOW! I made the mistake of going somewhere else than Salon Cartier my usual salon. YIKES, the place I went made a mess of my hair. Robin and Robert of Salon Cartier fixed it with great results. I won't be trying to go anyplace else again!

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality I love and adore Salon Cartier and can't wait until I get to go again. The vibe is friendly and welcoming from moment one. It is action packed with loyal clients and new clients who will undoubtably become loyal clients. Covid sucks by CARTIER rocks!

I have curly hair and I'm just putting out the word for other people with curls who want a good cut. I booked an appointment with Robert, the co-owner, to get my first cut after covid about a month ago. I wrote a review after that hair cut, see below. I asked for layers and showed him photos of my previous cuts. He barely took off any hair and did not layer! Robert's wife (?) offered to recut my hair but I was skeptical given the lack of quality the other co-owner provided. I've been ruminating since the first cut.

Today I went to Beauty Lounge and got a beautiful cut with Mia. She was surprised at the lack of shape and layering. She said Robert did nothing - her words. For anybody with curls who is terrified to let someone cut their hair go to Mia at Beauty Lounge. I don't mean to be vindictive I just want to help people who have curly hair not waste money.

I was very excited to go to this place because of the reviews. I had a haircut and had tape extensions put in with Bonnie. So the next 2 days they all were coming and and eventually all came out. I called them few times and left a VM no one ever called back. Absolutely poor customer service. I regret going there.

Had an appt for today at 10 am with Madison for hair cut and color. I had told her, I had an event today and needed to be done by 2. They sent me a confirmation text message yesterday. This morning I got a call from someone at the salon trying to reschedule my appt because Madison had called in sick. How unprofessional is this. Now I'm stock with nothing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.

I went to salon Cartier with my hair at good 5 in prone out just a mess half Brown half blonde I went to Madison Madison not only understood the blonde that I wanted which no one else does and managed to do five and a half hours in the chair to get my hair all in one color in one appointment it was amazing my haircut was perfection and I'm really difficult to deal with I'm a tough client and I must say working with her is a joy she is a true professional and definitely saw my vision this salon has also great safety precautions as I'm a triple risk and felt very safe having my hair done there just match your personality to the stylist they do fantastic such a great experience

I made a first time appointment at this salon post COVID re-openings with Bonnie. She is super nice, down to earth, and does exactly what you ask her to do with your hair. I've had so many experiences where I tell a hair stylist that I don't want layers in the back of my hair and they do it anyway. NOT THIS TIME! Will definitely return to this salon. Possibly found my new "go-to" place :

Super nice and professional salon. This review is way overdue! I went in a few months ago for a haircut deal I purchased through Groupon. I called and booked an appointment with Maddison, who seemed to not have many open evening sessions. I booked the appt about a month in advance. Maddison first asked about what I was looking for, and then chopped some length off before shampooing and conditioning my hair. Then, she took her time perfecting my haircut. After, she styled my hair with her cool Dyson blow dryer. Couldn't have been happier with the results!

Alanna is one if the best stylists ever! She did a cut and color for my 4 year old daughter and it's fantastic! Highly recommend her work!

I don't normally stray from my regular hairstylists, but decided to buy a groupon for a haircut with partial highlights and added bowl of color. I was tempted by the price, but absolutely pleased by the look. I booked my appointment with Maddison. I showed up and loved the location and salon. Very comfortable and busy. Maddison was great, sweet and very talented at her job.

We actually hugged after my hair-do, because at this point - she's my go to girl. So she cut several inches of hair off, which I needed to start fresh. I got highlights throughout and very fine. Overall brighter and natural looking color. I don't have time for touch-ups, so I have to get color that blends as it grows too. Picky much? Maybe, but not for a talented stylist like Maddison.

As you can see from my recent photo feed, my hair still looks good. I don't get my hair done a lot, but when I do - it takes hours and is so expensive. I often My hair took less than 2 hours and cost about 1/2 of what I've paid in the past. I know that was a "deal", but it got me in the door and hope to see Maddison again. I love, love, love this salon. Not only for the service, but the way I still love my hair - nearly 2-3 months later.

Maddison was my stylist & the cut & highlights she gave me were unbelievably amazing! I LOVE my new short haircut. I told her I wanted my gray to have some coverage but just wanted it to blend better. I have no idea what she did, but I feel like she took 10 years off my face! Based on previous great reviews I had read, I decided to give her free reign. I am so glad I did! Bring a pic of a haircut you want and let her go to town! She will make it match your face. I highly recommend Maddison, she gave me a really nice bob cut. I got a lot of complements, even my 6 years old daughter demanded me to get her the same hair cut! My sister found this hair salon on Groupon and highly recommended it to me. Based from my Groupon experiences, it's either a hit or a missed but this one was definitely a hit! Im so glad I found my new hairdresser in the bay!

Just a little FYI, I have a really thick and course hair, so I really want a hairstylist that spends a good amount of time cutting my hair layer by layers. Maddison, spent a whole hour cutting and styling my hair just how I like it! The salon was also nice and everybody was very friendly.

New to area I was so disappointed with my results took pictures in and told the stylist I wanted red I ended up with no different color or style charge was over 300.00 and on top of it sold me products that turned my hair pink vs red. Stylist didn't know what they were doing and it's a rip off! I rated them a 1 to be nice but my true rating is 0.

I'd NOT recommend salon Cartier. I did buy a Groupon voucher and I had the worse experience trying to get an appointment I had to reschedule 3 times with Madison and wait for weeks to get a new appointment! I had to change my plans over and over because they did cancel on me at the last minute and the worst part is that they tried to call me LIAR because they refused to recognize that they did cancel 3 times on me! Very disrespectful and unprofessional I'm not surprised to see more comments from other consumers complaining about the same situation. What a waste of time!

I met Brooke through purchasing a Groupon for a haircut & style. She gave me a fresh cut and beautiful style which led me to schedule a follow up visit for bayalage. She is listens to her client, is thorough, and most importantly an artist. I've had my hair colored many times before by different stylists and she is by far my favorite. Can't wait to go back just to sit in her chair!

I found this salon on Groupon (highlight and cut) and decided to try it out since the price was pretty good. I scheduled an appt with Maddison on a Thursday afternoon. I got there 20min late but she still accommodated me. We spent about 15min discussion what color to dye my hair (I wanted to cover my grays but didn't want a dark color) and that I wanted a short sassy cut. Whilst the prepping of the dye took a long time (20min), the color and coverage came out amazing! Maddison skillfully covered up all my grays and I loved the color.

Even though the groupon was for a highlight, I was perfectly happy with getting an all over color that covered my grays and blended in with the golden tones I already have. Coloring is one thing, but to achieve an awesome short style was another. Maddison did just that. She gave me an edgy A-line that was versatile and easy to maintain. I absolutely love it! Will be back soon for some highlights :) Girls got skills!

Maddison did it again. I came back for the third time because I decided that I wanted it even shorter with a sharper angle. Well, in 45 minutes (wash, conditioned, cut, blow dry, straightener, and with a crying infant in stroller), Maddison successfully brought my hair vision to life. We are so happy! Maddison is extremely detailed and such a perfectionist.

How can I tell that she has so much talent? Well, try cutting hair at a straight angle (and style like a super model within a limited timeframe) while your client keeps moving her head to check in baby and move the stroller! Even the lady getting her hair done next to me was jealous. It looked so good that customers (and hair stylists!) were staring and complimenting. She is for sure the hair master designer. I'm so happy I found my hair stylist in the east bay! This is perfection.

I've been coming to this salon for years! Brittany is the best and most accommodating stylist I've ever had. I trust her completely, and I know that she will do anything she can to make my experience better. I get a glaze at least once a month from her, I'm now a red head but I started with dark purple hair, she was able to strip the purple from my hair safely and then over time brought me from purple, to pale blonde, to a beautiful copper, now to a natural but vibrant red! She's a talented artist!

While the staff at this salon were all very welcoming, my haircut and color by Brooke was the worst I've ever had. I literally cringed when I finally saw my hair in good light. It has been a few weeks now and I've been swamped with work. I will need to find another salon to correct the color job on my hair and see what cut we can do to make it style well again.

I did call back to try and get it corrected but we had to leave town for a 10 day trip and I had demanding work tasks to take care of before we left. I was nervous to go back here anyways! I would not recommend.

Brooke did an amazing job with my with hair! Finally my search for a hairstylist ends here. Brooke is so sweet and accommodating. So happy with my much needed new hair cut! Received a lot of compliments. I would definitely go back to her! She offered a free bang trimming next time!

Robert is very gentle on my hair and made me feel confident with a huge change. I have had so many compliments and it makes me feel special. I also felt my hair was thinner than before and he recommended the right products for me and my life style

Hair Color done right the FIRST time! It is very challenging to find someone you trust with your hair when you move from another state. Robin at Salon Cartier is simply Fantastic. Going from dark brunette to very light pearl blonde that fades into a champagne blonde takes time; 4 hours later my hair was stunning. I had NO scalp burning, irrigation or itching anytime durning the process or the next day, YEA!

When I got home my boys loved my hair and said it was the best hair color I've ever had ! Thank you Robin for finding my true self and making me look amazing. Salon Carter is simply, "The Best Salon" for Hair Color done right the FIRST time. Can't wait for my next appointment. I love my hair!

I've been going to Brittany for over a year now. I have had various different hairstyles. Last year I did a balayage with pink and purple. After that I just did highlights throughout my hair. This year I've toned it down a bit and just done some glazes to help make my hair healthy again. I have thin but wavy hair which is actually kind of hard to cut.

I went to a lady previously who cut my hair wayyy too short so I couldn't wear it naturally because the layers with my curls were too short. Brittany knows how to cut the length perfectly. She has great recommendations on products depending on your hair style. I love coming here and will continue to come here :

For the first time ever, I am content to have fine hair. I first went to Salon Cartier about 6 months ago. Robin carried out a thorough assessment of my hair and put a plan in place. She is very professional, highly skilled and intuitive. My hair has been transformed and I am absolutely delighted. I now have healthy hair that has a youthful appearance and a style that complements my features, personality and lifestyle.

It is always a pleasure to visit Salon Cartier - a lovely ambience and everyone is so welcoming. Always a cup of tea available. Highly recommended! Thank you guys. I'm a happy camper!

I've been going to Salon Cartier for over five years and it's a hidden gem of the East Bay. The salon is spacious, beautiful inside and the staff always friendly. In particular, I see Alanna. She's a pro with my thick curly hair and has managed to give me the locks I always wanted to have, but could never seem to achieve. Beyond her cuts, as a colorist she can't be beat.

I tend to change my color every three months or so and she always makes it look amazing - I've had auburn, purple streaks, chocolate blonde or just highlights in my natural blonde.
