I got the most amazing haircut from Nina. She gave me a very short cut-cutting off my grown out color and I love it. Someone else mentioned the mom cut-I was so fearful of ending up with one but I got a super fun stylish cut. Thanks Nina!

As good as it gets FOR SURE. I have admired Nina's own cut for many years, and finally took the plunge in cutting off my own hair (partial shaved head, 3/4 of my hair is gone). This salon is the best one I have ever been too. Very friendly and professional. Mary is my favorite. Does the best color applications and great haircuts. I notice that all the customers are repeats for all the stylists. Definitely a good sign. They are in high demand so make your appointment as far ahead of time as you can.

Nina has been my hairstylist for a long time now. I've probably been seeing her for over 10 years now. I always bring in pictures for her and she cuts my hair beyond my expectations. She has always had so many colors to dye my hair and does an amazing job. I have yet to find a hairstylist as great as she since I've moved to Oakland over 4 1/2 years ago.

I'm surprised I have yet to write a review for Impact. When I was living in Martinez, I started going to Nina based on her reviews on Yelp. She has been my go-to. Once I moved to Oakland, it became difficult for me to go out there and I had also started growing my hair out. After not seeing here for a few years, it was comforting to have her properly cut my hair again.

She really has been the only person I have been able to trust with my hair and has never given me a cut that I did not like. So regardless of distance, I will keep going to her for my hair needs.

I made an appointment with Mary. She appeared very rude and cold. I showed up the next day and no one greeted me at the door. I had to wait several minutes which was past my appointment time. I finally tap a woman on the shoulder who was with a client telling her that if appears that Mary is still with a client and she could just come next door where I work and get me. Mary saw me walking out the door and did not even acknowledge me or apologize.

She texted me a few minutes later telling me she overbooked. She did not even offer another time. I basically told her she does not value her clients, especially a new one, and I would never come back. I do not recommend anyone see her.

I've been having my hair cut exclusively by Mary at Impact for over ten years. She's not only a great stylist but she knows her clients; I will come in with a picture and she will honestly tell me if I'll deal well with the upkeep of that style. Now I know better; I just go in and ask her what I want and she always gets it right! My husband sees Nina for his punkier 'do with color and asymmetry and she is also awesome. I've seen her do more conservative hair also so she's not a one trick pony, but he always looks a little different and that's how he likes it!

The salon itself is clean, organized and well managed. It is a family business and I like that when I text Mary she gets back to me easily. I won't let anyone else cut my hair as long as Mary is around. Much love to her and her crew!

Nina is AMAZING! I would never let anyone else touch my hair. I have very thin hair ad yet she always cuts it in a way that makes it look full and bouncy. She also gives great advice on how to care for my color and surviving split ends between cuts.

I have been going to Colleen at Impact Hair Salon for almost 20 years now. I've tried others, but always go back because every time I leave that salon after a hair cut, I look GREAT! Colleen stays up on trends and keeps me current. I don't know what that other lady is saying about it being unprofessional, she's way off base. This is a classy, busy salon. Yes, they don't have a receptionist, so just leave your name and number in a message and they will contact you back for an appointment. Then, once your in and you want to continue, just make your next appointment before you leave. Prices are a tad high, but are the going rate for a high end salon. I think every hair dresser there has their own pricing, so try them all out. This is no $12 Super Cuts place.

I have been going to see Angel Nicole for a few years to have my hair cut or highlighted. She is very professional, up on all the new trends and uses great products. I have curly/wavy Italian thick hair and she is one of the few stylists that can cut my hair and have it look awesome when curly or straightened. I would not hesitate to give her 5 stars!

I have been looking for a salon that works for me for a while now. Since got a Groupon deal for Angel Nicole, I decided to give it a try. Overall my experience is very pleasant. I can tell you Angel is truly professional, and she actually listens to what you need, and even ensures every detail of how you want you hair done. Communication is the key and it is hard to find a stylist who will put effort in it.

I am very picky when thing comes to my hair so I usually walked out with disappointment but THIS IS NOT THE CASE! I came out with a haircut that I really like and I will go back again. :

I guess I'm not entitled to an opinion since I haven't actually been to this salon. However, I got a Groupon for Angel Nicole (back in May) and have been unable to schedule an appointment with her in the last month. I called a few weeks ago and she said she was all booked for 2 weeks solid. I thought about going somewhere else so I didn't even bother scheduling anything.

I changed my mind and called again last week and she never even returned my call! I contacted Groupon, who then contacted her. She left me a voicemail offering one appointment time this week, which of course is the one day I can't do. Oh and she didn't apologize for ignoring my call, let alone try to accommodate me knowing I contacted Groupon.

She said in her voicemail to text her because it's easier for her.oh sorry, I'm only a new client, don't let me bother you. So anyway, I texted her and asked for any other time and she replied.a day later no less.with one appointment time. Apparently she's not available again for 10 days. Maybe she is just THAT amazing at cutting hair, but I seriously have never had so much trouble scheduling a hair cut!

I get that she probably had an influx of business, but it's been 3 months since the Groupon and if you can't handle more clients, you probably shouldn't do the whole Groupon thing.and probably shouldn't do hair. And the least you could do.as a professional who is completely reliant on clients and referrals for your paycheck. is pick up the phone, apologize and try to work something out. Seriously unprofessional.

My first visit to this Impact Salon was because Angel Nicole has recently joined their team. Angel is AMAZING! She did hair and makeup for my Wedding party last year and I have been going to her for the past few years now! Angel Nicole is a professional and listens to any ideas or suggestions you may have. I highly recommend Angel Nicole to anyone!

Love this place for so many different reasons. Colleen is the first stylist that I have ever returned to. I have been getting my color and cut done by Colleen for 2 years now. I can say she really listens to what I want and knows how to make me fresh and pretty while maintaining my person style. Thanks Colleen you are wonderful

I had one hairstylist for the past 10 years but he's gone out of country. Jack was one of my client. It took me a year to finally choose the next stylist to take care of my hair and I was very satisfied with the new haircut and highlights. Thanks Jack!

Nina is an amazing hairstylist! I have always had long hair, but I was determined to try out a short hairdo for once, just to see if it would be a better fit for me. I was scared though. I asked Nina for the shortdo with the asymmetrical bangs (just like the very popular cut Victoria Beckham had last year). I showed her a magazine picture and she immediately said that she knew exactly what I wanted which was a relief.

She took her time, paid a lot of attention to detail. When the red streaks didn't come out exactly as I wanted it, she was willing to redo the color free of charge. She's awesome! Friends, family, complete strangers on the street constantly compliment me on my hair. The place is a little expensive, had to pay $145 for cut and color, with hair styling product and tip, came to $170. I would definitely go back, but I just moved to Las Vegas.

I followed Dennis, who has been cutting my hair for 20+ years, to Impact. Dennis doesn't do perms, but found me two colleagues at Impact who do. All the stylists have taken the time to find out exactly what I need (not counting Dennis, who knows what I need better than I do myself! I don't know what I'll do if he ever retires.) The best way to deal with their not having a receptionist is to leave some possible appointment time choices on their recorder. They usually get back to you within a day. Park at the lot by Jamba Juice - it's free.

Okay, after reading the reviews on this site, I figured why not try it. I have NEVER had a positive experience in the burbs even though I live here.all the hair salons are generally a huge disappointment in comparison to SF salons. So, after reading these great "nina" reviews I booked an appt after much phone tag since they have no receptionist ever.

So I make arrangements to go tonight. I show up and this older woman in a sweatsuit is HAULING bags of hair swept from the floor with hair color out to the front of the salon. REAL appealing. but I mosey on in. Nina introduces herself.okay fine.she is "fixing" a client whose hair is so bleached it looks as if it is going to fall out.but I am still hoping for the best.my appt is for 6:30, she comes over at 6:40 and says oh, yeah, I am running late so it will be like another 30 minutes. WTF?

I have NEVER EVER experiences such unprofessionalism at a salon and this place is an utter f'g DUMP. Hair all over, bags of hair being placed out in front of the entry way. I mean hello.? I was horrified and was SO pissed. I could even tell then the client who they obviously made time for which bumped my appt was talking shit about me b/c I was obviously so pissed.

This is why I continue to make the drive to SF for decent hair. I am 37, been getting my hair done in salons since I was 16. In Boston, NY and SF. NEVER have I been told Oh well. I am running 35 mins late.so wait? Not to mention I have an 8 year old home with a sitter so I could make this appt. Always follow your gut instinct.this place is a DIVE! A MESS and obviously does not care about attracting new clients. SF here I come again!

I love Nina at Impact Salon! I was referred by one of my best gal pals(who is my authority for everything related to hair and beauty, so I knew it was gonna be good!).I have had 2 cuts by Nina and both times loved it! I can't even tell you how many people compliment me on my do.not only once, but constantly (seriously!). I've never had so many people comment on my haircut, it really says something!

I was specifically referred to Nina. She is a sweetheart and has done my hair well so far. I have gotten a haircut and a perm (yes, a perm) and I have received nothing but compliments on my hair. I have recommended her to so many people and one of my best friends is now a convert for Nina. Yay, Nina!
