Teknic Colour

I have not actually been to the salon in a few years but the experience I had when I was last there has left a strong lasting impression and still makes me feel terrible to this day. The owner was giving me highlights when a gentlemen client arrived to be cut by a different stylist. The owner and this client went back-and-forth making jokes where they imitated the speech of a deaf client.

Thinking that there was no way she could possibly be doing this in such a public forum I asked her for clarification. She laughed and said that she in this client have this long-standing joke and they always like to talk like that back-and-forth because they find it so funny that the deaf person speaks that way. It made me absolutely sick and I have never forgiven myself for not saying something to her about it. Obviously I would never return.

I went here for a haircut, I had a big interview coming up. I got the job and looked pretty sharp. 10/10 this is a great place for both women's and men's haircuts.

This is an excellent salon. Kim and her staff take the time to consult with every client about their preferences and then recommend the best course of action to get them there. I look forward to coming in every time.

Kim at teknicColour is awesome. She took time to talk to me and make me feel comfortable about what I wanted. She did an all over color that corrected some previous highlights. My hair looks amazing. And I love that the salon is conveniently located in Cranberry. Kim also recommended Goldwell Kerasilk reconstruct blow dry spray - the best detangler ever. I use it everyday.

Owner was super rude and ignorant. I will never come back to this salon in my whole life. Save yourself the trouble and go to the other salons on Cranberry. Her personality is ugly and I would never recommend this place!

Nice salon, friendly people. Do not go here if you have long hair! A regular hair cut should be $40 and I got charged 65 because I have long hair. All I got was a trim and layers. They charge extra for a blowout as well. Everywhere I've gone before has included shampoo, cut and blowout in the one price. They did a nice job but kept trying to get money out of me, getting me to buy their shampoo saying my hair felt waxy, trying to style my hair after the blow out. I don't think I will go here again, sorry.

Love this salon! It is clean and the service is great. The stylists are always friendly, welcoming, and my color has been on point every time! I highly recommend Teknic Colour for cuts and color!

I hab been going to this saloon for a few months now. Thursday I had appointment was about 15 minutes late I got a call asking if I were coming, I said yes and only about 5 minutes away. The receptionist, Gail went and asked Jill, the stylist if that was okay, I was told they wouldn't be able to provide the service. This saloon charges just has much as the Phillip Pelsui saloon where I had gone in the past.

I never had a saloon turn people away because they were running late. This stylist and saloon must have a lot of clients to not accommodate people. I have paid $130-160 every time I've gone there as much as what I have been charged by the more notable saloons in the Pittsburgh area

They are very rude and in need of money apparently. I had made an appointment at 430 on a Friday for the next morning at 10. ( not even 24 hours in advance) I had to cancel because my paycheck didn't get deposited from my work, so I couldn't pay for the trim. When I canceled 2 hours before my apt. They tried to tell me I have to pay for the service since I didn't give 24 hour notice.

I told them my issue with my work and the owner didn't seem to care ( I thought that was rather heartless and cold) and I mentioned I didn't even make the apt 24 hours in advance so I didn't think it was an issue. I also didn't think it was an issue since they had a ton of times for me to pick from the day before. they clearly did not have a full day of appointments, if they had I would have understood her attitude.

Someone got me a gift certificate for my birthday a few months later. I made and apt to use my gift and went in for my apt. They had a sign posted on the wall only at my station. I was talking about canceling and how much money they lost. ( which I don't believe they lost money. I came back and got $120.00 worth if service) It made me feel terrible about a personal situation that was already bad enough.

All if this over a $30 trim. A trim. I was amazed at their "customer service" and how they handled this issue. If you like being treated like crap then I say go there. If not there are a ton of nicer places with better quality service and people right down the road.

So.the hairdressers are really sweet, but I was infuriated. I decided to treat myself to a cut and color and thought that while visiting family in the area, it would be more reasonable than the city prices. I called for a quote, described what I had and what I wanted. The cut was good, but the color didn't come out. I was upset and just ready to leave -didn't even want it blow dried.

I was so upset that they offered to fix it. Fixing it meant additional $ I wasn't told about. I get to the counter and the owner or manager says that the extra charge is for the toner.and that I wasn't charged for the other services.(the first run through of color that didn't quite work?, the blow dry I didn't want and said so?

My longer hair?). I wish they'd been more honest about it.i wouldn't feel so scammed. Oh yeah - they cannot process tips on credit card.so in addition to the extra time and money I spent there, I have to go back and pay a tip. Lessons learned - get an exact quote before they do anything, them 'fixing' things = extra $$$, and since they aren't much cheaper than the city, just go to the city. In a gist. I Do NOT recommend this place.
