This place is a disaster. They gave us an appointment time that apparently meant well we will see you after the person in front of you. I didn't get seated for my service until 45 minutes after my appointment time and what was supposed to take 30 minutes took closer to an hour. They accepted zero responsibility for the delay. Had the service been excellent I'd have brushed it off, but it really wasn't anything spectacular.
I have several imperfections in my nails, including one that has a big dent from her trying to fix it and the tech was poking at my cuticles and trimming around the edge of my nail after I had paint on already. I will never come back here. Definitely don't recommend. There's tons of other places to go locally for a far better nail experience.

I really don't know what to think. I'm leaving a review because my friend said other people should know about our experience. I have curly hair and my daughter has curly hair. I have been looking around for a new salon after 8 years of driving 40 minutes. I had no personal recommendation to this salon. I had gone in there once to buy a product and everyone seemed nice. Salon was cute, etc.
I thought I'd try a cut for my daughter here and if I liked it, I'd come too. Allure's website had a $10 off new client special and they had kids cuts age 7- 14 from -$32/$38. When calling I said my daughter had curly hair and was 13, was there someone who specialized in that? Sure was the reply and appointment was booked. Especially for a 13 year old, a haircut at a salon is a really special experience.
It just so happens that my daughter has really bad acne right now. She is under a dermatologist care, but she's really feeling bad about it. I was excited for her to get a stylish haircut and feel good. We arrive on time and they took her right away. There didn't seem to be much conversation from the stylist. Sometimes that works out because they know what to do.
I duck out to buy band aids 2 stores down and ran into a friend and we chatted. I came back to the salon and my daughter is sitting in the waiting hair with completely wet hair. What happened? I ask her. "She said she never dries curly hair and told me she was done." Huh? I didn't want to embarrass my daughter and ask "What in the world?" because the stylist was already cutting her next customer.
So weird. The cut was meh. Definitely shorter, but not a reshape so her curls would be pronounced. I have had curly hair my entire life. Yes, do I let my hair air dry? Yes, but I also use a diffuser and most salons have heat lamps or full dryers they can put on low. It just wasn't a nice experience. When I was paying, I was surprised that the price was $42. (Being that the website said $38 top end kids cut.) I was told the website wasn't updated. Hmmm.
They had time to update their computer to charge more. Also, I hate places where you can't tip on your credit card. I was told I could hand over cash or venmo. I also found it strange that I was to hand cash to the front desk and they put it in their box. I appreciate salon were you get an envelope for cash and you can write a note. I admit it, I want credit for my tip. :) However, this long review to say, I said I'd tip on venmo and never did. First time in my life that I never tipped, but for 25 minutes of ok service, I truly didn't think it merited it. Truly hope our experience was just an off day.

This is a great place to get your hair done! I've had two different stylists do my hair and both did an amazing job, however I would recommend Francesca, because not only is she amazing at her job, she also has a shining personality and made me feel very comfortable. She really listens to what you're asking for so she can achieve the best results. I highly recommend her! Thank you Francesca, I haven't left this happy with a hair cut, balayage, highlights, and styling in a long time!

I have really thick hair that has proven an issue for certain hair stylists in my past, but I've gone solely to Lexi at Allure for several years and she always cuts my hair perfectly! My daughter see. Linda and she cuts her hair beautifully as well. You really can't go wrong with any of the stylists there! Service: Haircut

I went here for a regular manicure and pedicure. It was the longest process for a plain mani pedi and I had to be somewhere 2 hours after my appointment time. We started with the pedicure but By the time they started painting my toenails it was already an hour and 15 minutes into the appointment. I told the manicurist that I would like to come back another time for my manicure since I don't have time now and she said not to worry, she will have time to do the manicure without rushing so I agreed.
Long story short, it was VERY rushed, skipping through many steps of the manicure and overall doing a poor job. I left with wet fingernails and with a quality I could've done at home. To top it all off, it was so overpriced. Will not be going back and do not recommend.

Bought my wife $150 gift card since the girls in the salon said that should cover most of her hair coloring. When my wife went in for her appointment, she showed photos of what she would like and they said it should be around $130. After the appointment finished, she went to get rung up and it came out to $273. No where close to what she was expecting.
When asking the owner why it was such an increase in price she was told, "well you like your hair don't you?". Not a very professional way to deal with customer service. Would not return again.

I was very unhappy with the services provided and I called to speak to the manager within minutes of leaving to make her aware. I didn't say anything at checkout because I didn't want to make the stylist feel bad. I had even told the receptionist I was planning on going to another salon to have the haircut I had there corrected and she said the owner would call me back.
She never called me back and I had it corrected somewhere else that same day. I personally went in to show her my receipt to prove I had it corrected somewhere else and she didn't even offer store credit or at least a portion of what I had paid. Worst customer service. Don't even waste your time speaking to the owner. The owner will say anything just to get out of reimbursing you.

I just received quite possibly one of the best hair coloring/cut experiences ever! Francesca was amazing! Not only was she knowledgeable and friendly, the color with balayage and highlights is absolutely breathtaking, definitely the best color work I have ever had. Francesca kept me informed of what and why she was doing things throughout the whole process and even made sure I knew what pricing was and was comfortable with it before we started. I will 1000% be returning! Thank you!

This is my second time coming to Allure in the past month and honestly my experience has been so amazing thanks to Nancy! Nancy is a true nail ninja and makes sure you get exactly what you want and is so kind and welcoming. I never get my nails done because it's so hit or miss on finding a good nail tech but I feel like I hit the jackpot! She is so professional and her work is so neat and a superb addition to your team! :

To start off I arrived to my appointment on 3/27/21 at 8am to be told my appointment was cancelled. I made my appointment last month and I asked that I be seen by the same stylist that colored my hair in December. I spoke to a Linda who confirmed my appointment and got me all set up. I arrived and that was not the case I sat down and was called by a completely different name (Amanda).
Not even close to my name. I showed the stylist a picture of the color I wanted and had confidence that she would do this. I asked her twice and was reassured I'd be getting the color I wanted. I was asked by the stylist if I like my original highlights and I said yes if you could just bring them up a bit higher since they've faded. I left with a completely different color highlight than what I asked for.
The blue I wanted in my hair is not even there. The best part is she told me in sunlight I would be able to see the color. Lies. I didn't ask for red in my hair or a blue you could supposedly see in the sun. I paid nearly $300 for color I'm not satisfied with. I washed my hair with color safe shampoo and now the red is almost my original hair color. I'm livid.

My husband and I have been getting pedicures and hair services from Lexi, Katherine and Laura for quite some time and really love them. The paraffin dip and kick-butt work they do keeps us coming back. Allure also has a fabulous holiday party each year which is always PACKED since they really know how to have a good time. Keep in mind that gratuities cannot be added to your cc bill, so be sure to bring cash for tips.

I have been going to this Salon and Michelle since I moved her 4 years ago. Now I also see Laura for facials. They have been very welcoming to me since I was new to the area. Very helpful, professional and fun. I look forward to my appointments as I know they will be fun and informative. I have loved every haircut/color I have gotten from Michelle along with the fun conversations and her expertise.
My facials from Laura are something I look forward they are so relaxing and my skin has improved 100% since I started getting them. I recommend Michelle and Laura but also the salon itself because all my interactions with everyone there has been great.

I have been going to this salon for more than 10 years and always have a great experience. The owner Linda is fabulous and is the person I trust to do the best job on my hair. She always does a phenomenal job and I have loved every haircut I have gotten from her. Not only is the haircut good, but the experience itself is very enjoyable. Linda really gets to know you and I always have the best conversations with her. Overall, I have never had a bad experience here and will keep coming back again and again.

I've been coming here for over a year. Everyone here is always so courteous and super friendly! I see Laura for my hair and she's never let me down. Today I decided to go big. After having black box dyed hair for 2 years I decided to chop off inches and go lighter. Laura did exactly what I asked and so much more! Will never go to another salon!

I am 60 & have been in high end salons (Philadelphia area) and quick trims chains so I have some experience with salons. I decided to try allure as my hair needed shaping and style. Been a long time in between cuts as my hair takes forever to grow as I am getting older. The good, My stylist was very pleasant girl and the cut was done well HOWEVER The bad, I was VERY CLEAR as to what I wanted the bare minimum trim since it takes my hair a long time to grow.
She asked if I was Ok with this length and showed me to touching the shoulder. I agreed but the cut is much shorter barely hitting the bottom of my neck! not what I wanted or agreed too. There is no framing to my face which I wore into the salon so she could see how I like my hair. Instead I have the same old straight bob you see everyone else have.
My bangs are to heavy and not tailored down on the sides, I was very clear about this. I went to Allure thinking I would be getting better, more unique cut. A "better" salon would listen to my unique request for my individual head. As I said it takes me years to get the length and it was cut away. If the customer is clear and specific, if the stylist & customer agree on length, I would expect the customer should get what they ask for.
I value good listening skills and I was very clear. Finally I felt for the price that a relaxing shampoo and some time being spent on the customer would be expected. Lower cost chains to the same thing but at less than half the price. Woke up still overwhelmingly disappointed and now 3 more years to get the length again.

Best pedicure I've ever had, but way too expensive! I got a basic manicure with gel polish and a regular pedicure with gel polish. With a 20% off coupon, it was 82 dollars and change! They charge an additional 15 dollars for gel. So, it was the basic manicure with an extra 15 and the pedicure with an extra 15. The woman I went to was great, and I'm happy with my nails, but the cost is astronomical.

If you've read a lot of reviews for hair salons in general you'll start to realize that there is an obvious difference in those who typically go to a budget-friendly salon and those who have religiously gone to a salon/spa. I always went to a budget-friendly place like Great Clips or Holiday Hair because they're convenient and cheap and typically do an alright job.
Now as a 30-something woman I felt like I should try out an actual salon and see what the fuss was about. I went to Allure once about a year ago and spent over $40 for a hair cut. It was a pretty bad job and I was scared away since then. The girl who did my hair seemed so nervous, I have a unique pixie cut that takes an experienced person which I'm sure she wasn't.
Because of this I decided to go back and try again. I did this because I wanted to take my 3 year old daughter for a girl's day and have that salon experience with her and I didn't want to judge the entire salon off of one experience. I'm glad I went back! Our hair dresser, Lexi, was absolutely perfect and made us look beautiful. I explained how I get my hair cut just one time and she just jumped right in with complete confidence and did it spot on!
I've never had an experience like that before. My daughter had a blast getting shampooed and dolled up and Lexi couldn't have been sweeter with her. I spent $55 before tip for both of us to get shampooed, cut and styled and while that's considerably more than great clips it was the experience and ambiance that made it worth it, in addition to a fantastic hair cut.
I'm more than okay spending the money and taking time for myself to be pampered and feel like a woman, not just a number. I plan on going back to try their other services too!

Mary, the hairdresser who I had, was excellent. She actually listened. Perfect cut, color, everything was exactly as I requested. However, I did not know they did not accept personal checks. My total bill was $130. I did not have that amount of cash and no credit cards on me. Only because I ran out of my house in order not to be late for the appointment (my fault). However, I only learned at checking out that they do not accept personal checks.
The receptionists were very sweet. The owner, Linda, was not in but she communicated with the receptionist that I HAD TO PAY with a valid credit card, or she would send the police! Is that a way to treat a customer? Never again! Not worth the stress and aggravation. To shorten the length of this story, I left that day. It was suggested that I go to PNC right in the mall to cash a check.
I did but because the check was not drawn on PNC, they would not cash. The next day, a Saturday, I went back to Allure with the cash; cold cash. I have never EVER been threatened by a business owner that they would send the police. In fact, I am not aware of any business that will not accept a check with proper identification. And, be prepared to be abused by the owner.
She is quite abusive. The name of the shop used to be "L A Hair Trends".I believe the owner has gotten a bad reputation which is of her own doing. She probably has a reasonable explanation for the name change, but I have to wonder. Please use my name. Georgia Pulizzano

Would never go back there. Went there to get a cut and color. Color was awe full and haircut was not what I asked for. I was charged 225.00. But the day before I stopped by to schedule the appointment and was told it would cost 110.00. I don't know how this salon remains to stay in business. I spoke to owner and got a total ridiculous story about how they had to use more color than anticipated. My hair is shoulder length. There are so many more good reliable salons in the area.

I had my baby shower party the next day and went for getting a cool bob cut. The hair stylist (Laura/Lauri - dunno if its the right name ), she chopped my hair all away (that too after 1 hour ). Then she tried to correct the hairstyle by ironing my hair. All the layers had a major disconnect. On top of all this, she chopped my bangs so short, that they would not move left or right.
They were sticking out and I looked like a monkey. I said I wanted to part left. She says."oh that's easy" and started ironing the bangs left. the bangs still wouldn't go left or right. At that point I asked if she would please stop and almost started crying. Then she called another lady who tried to correct the worst haircut. But even she could not do anything about the bangs, as they were too short.
I left the salon without creating a scene, and my sister paid for the haircut. They assured that the owner would refund. But today the owner calls and says that I would have to return to get the haircut done. I stay 70 miles away and my sis is around the Allentown area. But they wont refund or give any service to my sister either. I look like a MAN now. I hate to look at myself in the mirror. Its so bad. Please take my advice.never ever ever visit this salon if you want to look good.

I don't even know where to begin. This massage was probably the worst massage I have ever gotten. Don't waste your money. I selected the relaxation massage which I always select when I get a massage. I usually go to healing hands in Bethlehem and from here on out I will stick with healing hands because the woman at Allure who gave the massage barely applied any pressure.
Medium deep was requested and she barely worked any tension out. I did not expect to pay 70$ to just have lotion applied to my body. I could have my husband do that. I still have knots in the areas that I requested to be worked on. Also, the hot towels were a great idea except when she rubbed the rough and scratchy rags up and down my legs. I don't see the point. The staff were nice and the place seemed clean, but ultimately the massage was terrible. I highly recommend healing hands in Bethlehem. Money well spent there.

My daughter recently was conned by these people to get the Japanese straightening and THEN bleached her hair. When we called to discuss, the owner was "on vacation" but for a small fee could fix the problem. They literally might be the worst hair salon EVER. I am all about some customer service to be able to vocalize the issues. When we did reach her 5 days later she informed us, we hadn't bought the $200 worth of products she had suggested when she left. Awesome :. Yeah, they're the worst. After reading the reviews, their "real" customer service is related in the post from the other one star. THAT is who they really are.

I started coming here a few years ago when I need a flexible appt. My first appt was with Jill and I have been seeing her since! She always understands what I would like done with my hair color and I am always satisfied when I leave. This salon and stylist is also flexible in getting you in if you need to reschedule an appt.
