I LOVE Dion's South on Main Street in Historic Downtown Franklin! Richard has been my stylist for 30 years. He is so amazing!

I've been a fan and client for 20 years. The space is beautifully updated and elegantly decorated. The salon is spotless clean, the service is accommodating and friendly. Master Stylist and Barber Richard Dion invests time, money and energy to ensure a great client experience. I highly recommend Dion South!

I have been a Dions client for close to 30 years. I have been stopped more times than I can count and asked "Who does your hair?" Richard has been amazing and can't imagine letting anyone else touch my hair.

Overall experience from making the appointment, to walking out was EXCELLENT! I'm not one to go get my hair done, but have colored and cut it myself for years. Being 60, I decided to just let it go gray. I asked Kasey to help me "grow gray gracefully", and she gave me a color, cut and style that made me feel great and look great. I've received many compliments! Kasey was professional, pleasant and is an expert! Really loved my time there at Dion's South! (I'm writing this 1.5 months later and still am happy with the work she did.) Thank you Kasey! You're AMAZING!

Went in to get my hair done with Mary, and she was extremely rude wouldn't be up front with the pricing, told me to quote on quote add it up. Wouldn't give me what I wanted because my hair was too "damaged" to highlight. It is not damaged whatsoever. Toned my hair instead and said she was taking out the orange and brassy tones. I left and my hair was orange. I paid $170 and it looks exactly the same but orange. She had a condescending tone with the way she was speaking to me. Not happy and will not be going back.

Great spot in downtown Franklin for haircuts. Great staff, in a great location, with great results. I appreciate local downtown business and always support them when possible. Book an early appointment for easy parking on Main Street.

Dion's South is The. Best. Salon. Ever! Location is Perfect, Services are outstanding and the staff Professional, Friendly and Accommodating. There's even a nail tech who is easy to communicate with! Dion's South has a nice Peaceful Vibe and the price is right on point for a salon of this caliber. No wonder Richard won the "Best of 2022 Franklin" award.

Mary Schrenk is outstanding! She loves working with blonde hair and is a master at matching color to what you want. She is precise in her hair cuts. The style and color was exactly what I hoped for She delivers VIP treatment. I never felt she was rushing my services so she could move on to the next client. I enjoyed talking with Mary. My normal hair stylist was on maternity leave and I met a stylist who worked at Dions who said they could handle doing the look that I wanted (money piece, fix some of the grow out from past color, root touch up). She showed me her portfolio and I agreed to come in. When I got there I showed her what I wanted again and 5 hours later I came out a frizzy blond-ish mess.

I have dark brown hair. The ends were fried and split and the color was way off. She severely over-processed my hair. I had a curly cut scheduled a week later so I hoped that would fix some of the mess. It did not and that stylist had to cut 2.5 inches off my hair. I could also barely run a comb through my hair due to the tangles caused by the excessive processing.

I reached out to Dions to see if they would fix it and no one every got back to me. I am really disappointed that a well known salon would not try to assist a customer who was unhappy with the work of one of their stylists. I will never go back and will never recommend this salon.

I had a 3 PM appointment on Saturday and Had planned a few other things that I needed to get done after leaving the salon.allowed plenty of time to have my hair treated with the Straightening treatment. My stylus was running late and I had to wait until 345 to get started with my hair treatment. This intern screwed up the rest of my Saturday. I needed to get some important things done and couldn't get medication at my pharmacy because it is already closed.

I don't think that I will be going back to Dion's due to what seemed like poor scheduling by the front desk. In addition to the delay, my hair is wavy in some sections and not uniformly straight as it should be. I've been getting this done for over 10 years so I know what to expect. Very disappointing.

I just had a fantastic haircut at Dion's South by their newest stylist Yogi Milsap! She may be new to Dion's but she has over 22 years experience in the beauty industry and it shows. I felt like I was hanging out with an old friend! Thank you for the wonderful experience Yogi! If you are looking for a new stylist look no further, Yogi's your girl!

Yesterday I was in the Dion's salon for the hair dye. I have been to this salon several times, everything was excellent. But yesterday It was horrible, never again to junior stylist! Stylist dyed my hair for 4 hours, after washing she had difficulties with combing my hair, and instead of gentle untangling, she pulled it out with the hairbrush.

I saw on the floor so much hair, also it was VERY painful. When I left the salon, my hair looked like a broom. At home, I tried to fix the situation, in the end I spent money on an expensive mask and leave-in conditioner. But it didn't help much, now I need to cut it, because hair looks very damaged and dry. Thank you for the bad mood and hair, which will be very difficult to restore.

I should've to leave right away, but I endured, and it was my mistake. Also, I see that my color is uneven and in some places it's yellow. I didn't noticed that in the salon. $264 for the pain and waisted time! Yesterday I didn't plan to write a bad review. But in the morning I realized how bad my hair looks.

I really wanted to like this place, and I gave it a fair try. I made several appointments: 1) The first visit I got a great haircut, just what I asked for. 2) The second visit I got color. Not great. I have dark hair and we talked about going a little more auburn, which I was pumped about. She put the color on the roots (I have grays so this makes sense).

I kept waiting for her to come back and comb it through, but she never did. So I had auburn roots and dark hair at the bottom. In low lighting it was not terribly obvious, but in natural daylight is was a mismatched hot mess. 3) The third time was awful. I tried a different stylist and she did exactly what I asked her not to- too short and too heavy on the bangs.

I showed her a pic beforehand, but somehow we miscommunicated. I have spent the last 6 months in a ponytail trying to grow it out. I can understand that results don't always match people's expectations, but what was the worst about this visit was that after a few minutes of sitting in her chair and never meeting her before, she made an offensive comment about gays & lesbians.

I mean, she knew nothing about me, why did she go there? We could have just talked about the weather, or our pets. 4) Against my better judgment, I scheduled another appointment with a different stylist. I really wanted to change my opinion about this place, but 10 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start, they tell me the stylist isn't coming.

So I'm done. I give it two stars because I liked my first haircut, the interior is classy, and the people at the front desk are very friendly. But for the price, I won't be spending anymore time or money here.

I just had an amazing experience with Mary and have to brag about her. She understood my waves/curls and cut my hair in the way I wanted! I am the type of person who loves styling my own hair.and once I got home and styled it with my own products. I was pleased and amazed. She did an AMAZING job. Mary was awesome, friendly and very detailed. This is only my second time here and my 1st time with her. I highly recommend her! I love my haircut!

At this place, Personnel and owner very cordial. I became introduced by seeing the sign in front, that they needed some models. Well the stylists are exceptional that I met. These are caring people. I like the cup of tea I get at the beginning. They completed a color For me, Creating a nice salt and pepper effect for my gray or white hair. I look younger now and I'm probably coming back to do it again

Having moved from Los Angeles, needless to say I was skeptical about which hair stylist to go to. After over a year of searching, through a recommendation, I found Dion's South and Melissa. I can't say enough about this place and her. When you walk in, you feel special. The place is stunning, impeccable and everyone is very friendly which is a nod to the owner, Richard.

When I sat in Melissa's chair, I immediately felt in good hands. She listened and guided me to what would look best. She identified issues with my hair and confidently assured me that with her help, I could regain the healthy hair I once had. The cut she did was perfect and I walked out of there knowing that as a Nashville resident, I found "my place" and was now in good hands. One of the best, if not the best, haircuts I've ever gotten. I was referred to Kristi and she was great. Incredibly personable and professional, she took her time and preceded ask me throughout the process how I thought it looked. She taught me a couple tricks to use to get my hair looking like how I want it. The atmosphere is great too, bright lights and a laid back vibe. This will be the only place I go to get my haircut from now on.

Dion's South is pricey but fabulous! You get what you pay for, and I left feeling absolutely wonderful. Hannah gave me a great haircut with minimal direction, and my blowout was soft and lasted for days. She is wonderful and the sweetest! Feels like leaving the spa because I was so relaxed and content. The one caveat I would say is it is a split level salon with stairs, so it is probably not the most handicap accessible, but that's an issue in much of downtown Franklin.

A great place all around. The staff is professional and courteous and they do a fantastic job at listening to your wishes and then offering suggestions to achieve exactly what the clients want! They are not pushy selling their product, which I appreciate and actually lets me choose to buy from them on occasion without feeling pressured. The only downside is that they really, really, need to clean their air duct system.

If you ever walk by their vents and look, they are absolutely disgusting and I can only imagine what they are blowing out into the air that the customers and stylists breathe. If they would only fix this problem, the salon would be perfect!

The people here are so nice and friendly. I got my eyebrows done here, and afterwards they were hella on fleek! They were able to get me right in even though it extremely short notice! And the price is pretty good for everything you're getting. Definitely would recommend this place.

This was my first visit and I'm so excited I found a gem. Arielle gave me an amazing hair cut. I would definitely recommend this salon. It is pricey compared to the other salons in downtown Franklin but it's well worth it.

Best experience I have had getting my hair done! Krista was my stylist and she was confident, sweet and did an incredible job on my hair! It was clear she has been cutting hair for over 8 years! I didn't know exactly how I wanted it cut but I trusted her advice and she did a great job adding layers for more volume. The color she did was beautiful.

I wanted a ombre/balayage and it turned out gorgeous. The best part of the experience was the time she took massaging my head while washing my hair (my favorite part of getting my hair done!). She also did some beautiful beach curls for my date that night with my husband. This is a great high end yet laid back salon! All the staff were very friendly and made me feel right at home! The prices are very reasonable and I will be back to see Krista as long as I am living in Nashville:-)
