We have such a wonderful mixture of stylists at different levels. They each have their own special niche, and would love to share it with you. Read his/her mini autobiography under each picture to get to know him/her a little bit better! I have been a licensed hair stylist for over 26 years. On my hair journey I have loved doing hair in both Poland, New York, and now I have found my forever home here in Florida. I cannot wait to meet you, I will always greet you with a smile when you come in to see me.
At New York Hair Co we pride ourselves in the variety of services we offer. We have multiple different stylists at different levels to cater to each client's needs. Our stylists work as a team so you can float between stylists until you get the right fit. Education is the key to knowledge; all the stylists attend continual education throughout each year to stay up to date in his/her techniques.

Five stars. About my stylist Audra. I have been going to NYH for nearly a year now.started out with someone else.random selection then, but when she left the salon. Audra picked me up and I couldn't be happier. Audra is skilled and professional. She takes the time to listen to you and your "story" before she starts coloring or cutting. Thank goodness.as we all know that isn't always the case. Audra is focused on making her customers happy.she will grab you a coffee and get right to work.

This is a Redkin salon, I needed "new" product, Audra was super helpful. and tonight I went home with a new shampoo and conditioner. I had an appointment and arrived on time to be told that "I've been trying to reach you all day" (it was 10:30 am) and "We don't have time for you, sorry" followed by "ok? Byeee" (it was a cut and highlights) and I could not believe it, I looked at my phone thinking they've been trying to reach me since 9am when they opened, and they didn't, I had 2 missed calls at 10:18 and 10:20 am, a text at 10:22 am, the same day for my 10:30 appointment.
I would hardly consider that "trying to reach you all day". I was already there lol. Really unprofessional. Also, things happen, I get it, but the receptionist was beyond rude in her delivery. I will never schedule an appointment at that salon again. I went to Jades Rose Hair Salon instead and the experience was amazing! They squeezed me in and I love my hair! But New York Hair will never get business from me.

I'm a snowbird and very nervous about trying new services for Hair and Nails. My hair was awful and I knew I needed to have "something" done. Found New York Hair, read reviews and made an appointment. I was warmly welcomed and assigned Robert. We sat and chatted about my hair/lifestyle before beginning any services. First, I really liked his professionalism as he took my "want" and translated into a great cut. Second, I just adored him! Very personable and didn't try to push any product on me. I highly recommend this salon, and especially Robert!

I tried this salon Saturday, November 27th, 2021 and am thrilled. Let me tell you how I found this affordable and excellent salon. I was waiting for a take out order next door at The Rice Bowl (which I have also written a review on) and as I was sitting in the car kept seeing these awesome cuts and styles on these ladies and though well I should check this salon out. I'm so glad I did because as I walked inside I was greeted by everyone and I do mean everyone!
The salon was super clean and with nicely spaced out chairs. I asked if they had a list of services with pricing and she quickly gave it to me then when I inquired about the beautiful ladies that had left she said Catalina is their stylist and if I would like sn appointment. Of course I scheduled my appointment and Catalina was wonderful. She sat before beginning and asked about my hair concerns and styles I had before and what I expected from the visit.
The shampoo area smelled so good and relaxing. Catalina hav es me tips on how to make small changes in my hair routine and didn't try to sell me an entire arsenal of products just made a recommendation on one product that I decided to buy at regular price and happy with it. Products Redken are cruelty free which is important to me. Wow she is totally awesome. I recommend this salon highly and for a gal that's been driving 3 1/2 hours to get her hair done it has to be great.

I am a snowbird in the area for the first time. Noticed New York Hair when we went to drop something at the dry cleaners. Looked it up on Yelp and it got good reviews, a couple specifically mentioned Audra. Called on Wednesday and was able to get an appointment with her Friday afternoon. I have short hair and am pretty picky about my hair. Audra did a great job. Best haircut I've had in a very long time. Will definitely go back and I highly recommend her.

So I had a hair appointment today for a glaze. Online the website said $15. So I was looking forward to discussing my hair condition and goals with the stylist, because I was thinking about adding an additional service if she recommended it. She immediately takes me to the washing bowl without a consult first. Usually salons are rough with hair and I have fine hair prone to tangles so I asked the stylist to be gentle on my hair because it tangles easy and she said "I'll try." Also I told the woman who made my appt I did NOT want a blow dry. (I always like to leave wet because I don't use any heat on my hair EVER).
The stylist washed my hair, did the glaze, rinsed, and said ok let's go over to the chair so I can dry it. I said I don't want it blow dried because don't use heat on my hair. She said let me at least dry your roots and I'll use cold air. Well she blow dried my hat on HOT for what seemed like an eternity. It was burning the my scalp!
I finally had to say, ok I think that's good enough! Then when I checked out it was $20 not $15 and inquired why the price jump and the receptionist was not able to give me an answer. It was my first time going here and I don't think I will be back.

NOT FRIENDLY! Walked in just now to get my hair colored and cut and the older lady at the front didnt greet me or anything when I walked in just looked at me with a rude facial expression! Asked about hair dye without ammonia so she went to double check and came back and said yea they have it. I said ok so any color or only certain colors? She said Um any!
Then awkward moment of silence because instead of asking me if I want an appointment or anything of the sort I said so is there any appointments today? She just looked at me with a nasty face and said No! That's it! Didn't ask if I wanted another day or anything. Very sad! I used to come here all the time! Never again! Terrible customer service!

I have been going to New York Hair ever since I moved to Sarasota- about 3 years ago. Excellent customer service every single time, which is why I keep going back. Master Stylist, Robert is amazingly talented. I usually just get my hair cut and styled, but today I decided to switch it up with some color and he did a beautiful partial balayage. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he brought it to life. I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. Thank you, Robert!

Went in to get a hair cut and was very happy with the outcome. I got their "Manhattan" hair cut which includes a conditioning treatment in addition to the haircut, wash, and blowout. Natalie did a great job, she was super knowledgeable. To top it off I only played $40 which in most places I pay $55 or up (minus the conditioning treatment).

Everyone can get trained in a skill, but not everyone has "it" - an artistic eye and vision. Robert has "it". I am new in town and looking for a stylist. After trying three stylists, I found Robert. I showed him a photo of a hairstyle I liked and he recommended a slight alternative that would look better on me. He set about working on my hair and took his time, explaining how I can style at home to get the best results. Thanks Robert, I love my new cut and style. Robert is a nice guy and a really talented stylist. I'd highly recommend him to my friends.

For a person who has thick and wavy almost curly hair finding a hair dresser who can listen to me and cut my type of hair is very hard to find. I moved here from Orlando so finding a hairstylist was like finding a good dentist. With thick hair you need someone who can get in there and not be afraid to cut and do layers. I thoroughly researched this place and came upon CATALINA and after researching all of her work I wanted to give her a try.
She was absolutely amazing and she will make sure to keep asking you if you like how the hair is being cut during the appointment before she finishes. So patient and professional she is amazing!
