Natural Alternatives Salon

This was my first experience and I left so happy and felt like a brand new person. Christine was my stylist and she educated me about my hair type, how to care for and style it and recommended products for me to try to help it curl some. She was very easy to get along with, very personable and did an amazing job. The salon had an earthy smell to it and was very welcoming. My hair looks amazing and feels amazing. I can't wait for my next appt!

Ben works his magic on my curls! I've always been hesitant on getting my hair done (cuts and color) at non "curl specialist salons" due to poor experiences in the past. After my first interaction with Ben, I wanted to try out a natural sun kissed highlight with him. Well, I finally got to join the club of people who tell their stylist they love their new hair AND ACTUALLY MEAN IT! I got in my car and couldn't stop looking at my curls and admiring the color job. I'm so happy I gave Ben a try and I feel so amazing with my new hair!

I get my hair done by Amanda and waxed by Sarah. They are both great! Highly recommend.

Update: Visited again recently to try again because I love Aveda products. My stylist was professional and really listened to my requests/concerns. My hair results and service was a 5/5 that day. So I am updating my review. Always remember that reception & customer service is always just as important as products/goods sold and hair results. That stylist did a great job at all; I have already booked my next color/style appointment! ---------------------------------------------------- I had an appointment today.

I thought it was at 2:30 p.m. and the time I was given when I was turned away from the Bearden-Western Location on this past Saturday. I arrived at 2:35 p.m. as the complex scheduled a pest control visit. When I arrived, the young land with the black/brown hair in reception said that the stylist had started another person and she could not take me at all today because my appointment was at 2:15 p.m.

I had a quite lengthy service scheduled - color, highlights, toner, shampoo, cut and style. I find it hard to believe that she would not have time to take me. I had planned to reschedule the highlights/toner another day. And I already told the receptionist on Saturday that I did not need a haircut but she allotted the time anyway. I am very disappointed.

I have tried to patronize Natural Alternatives over the years and the last few appointments - which have been spread apart - there have been issues. I've even had my bangs burned off with a flat iron there a few years back. Thought I would give it a try again. I have ethnic hair that's straightened. And there are just times that I don't feel comfortable at this establishment.

I came back because I love the Aveda product line, and this is why I bought some hand care products on Saturday. I could even understand if they had called me to say they were going to reschedule. But they didn't. They waited for me to come in and then told me. Sad.

This place is exactly what I was looking for when I moved to Knoxville.professional, modern, detail oriented, and calm. Products are amazing. Stevie is a guru with hair. Seriously. Maybe one of the best in the entire industry!

Been all over knoxville to many different salons. I've learned a thing or two, and one thing is that you need to find a stylist who fully *understands* what you're asking for and that you also know how to properly communicate your needs. My stylist here was Alyssa and she did EXACTLY that. I'm obsessed with my haircut and it turned out 100% the way I envisioned it to. She's amazing- book with her!

I walked into this Salon and instantly felt my stress melt away. This was my first time here. Alyssa was my stylist and she did such an amazing job. Not only was she so very professional and personable but she is a perfectionist when doing hair. I have gotten my hair colored for many many years and am very picky with who I allow to do it. Alyssa never made me doubt her at all.

My hair turned out so great. The receptionist was so sweet also. I bought my first bottle of Aveda shampoo and conditioner and I have never ever been so excited to wash my hair! I had an all around amazing experience here and I owe it all to Alyssa!

I have been going to this Salon for about 3 yrs and love it. Christina cuts my hair and is the best. She is a perfectionist in the best way and my hair always looks beautiful after I leave. She always listens and makes great suggestions. She is very talented. Erin does my color and is a master at what she does. She is amazing and very professional.

I am always getting compliments on my hair. The receptionists are always smiling and welcoming. The whole environment is relaxing and welcome. Thank you Christina and Erin for always having my hair looking it's best. Highly recommended both of these ladies.
