I've never done anything to my hair besides cut it. My hair is fine and straight but I've always wanted curly hair with texture, so finally got a perm! Amy did an amazing job and has been so great about follow up questions, even a week later. I love my hair and the most frequent comment I've gotten is how natural is looks.

Totally disregarded anything I said. Called up there told em that I was trying to surprise my girlfriend and they even took my credit card number so that I could pay for it and these unorganized individuals ended up having my girlfriend pay for it because they didn't even use my card on file and due to this she only resulted with a haircut which was almost pointless -absolutely one of the largest letdowns I've had in a while trying to do something for someone else why take a credit card and have me go through all the explanation of what I was doing and what I wanted her to be able to do (which was absolutely anything that she wanted) and I called up there even after I found out what happened and these people could give one f less. they don't care. have no remorse. no sorrow. no emotion just do not give a $hit. Just yet another place only concerned with grabbing peoples cash and have very slack attention spans. Job was total jack work also.

I have been to salon Azure a few times now, and Jaida has always cut my hair. She does a great job every time, and I've never left unhappy. She doesn't do color, so when I wanted to add highlights recently she referred me to Ciarra. I had a perm done a couple years before, so they did a color test and decided my hair wasn't grown out enough to add color (it would break too easily).
I came back a few months later, and after rechecking the color test I was good to go. Ciarra did a phenomenal job with my highlights, I've never been so pleased before. 10/10 recommend Ciarra and Jaida!

I had my first appointment at Salon Azure with Melody. I went in with a horrible haircut from a different salon in hopes that she could do something with it. Not only did she let me share my thoughts and concerns of what to do with it, I was open to listening to her ideas and let me just say, "she did not disappoint"! My cut looks so good and I left the salon feeling so much better.
When my husband got home from work he immediately cupped my chin to turn my head and said, "now, that's more like it". Melody was so thoughtful and I just let her do her magic. When I spend the money to have my hair like I want it I expect professional results and Melody did exactly that!

I arrived five minutes early and the lovely ladies at the front took my jacket and offered me tea, coffee, or water. To me, that is such a nice touch and goes a long way. My stylist, Sydney, was ready for me the second they took my coat. She went over exactly what I wanted and what she was doing. Sydney did my color beautifully and matched my eyebrows as well.
When it came time to cut my hair she made sure what I wanted and took her time to be precise and detailed. She even curled my hair for me. I haven't been this happy with a cut and color in a long time plus after I told Sydney I had a new ear piercing she was gentle and made sure to avoid it. Fantastic experience.

I hate writing this review, but unfortunately through poor time management Salon Azure in Bearden has left me in a really tricky spot. I set up two hair and makeup appointments a while ago for me and my mom for my wedding on New Year's Day. I called to set up my trial run this week, which I did. I then immediately got a call back that the salon is actually closed on my wedding day, but I could still come in for a trial if I wanted.
I needed to take a moment so I told them I would call them back, and I did and asked to speak to a manager. I spoke with Amanda, and she seemed really annoyed that I was confused as to why the appointments were booked if the salon would be closed. She offered to call another salon, but told me they would probably be closed as well. To her credit, she did call another salon for me but like she said, they were closed.
She was more apologetic on the second phone call, but just kept telling me that the day wasn't blocked off, so no one knew the salon wouldn't be closed. I asked what would have happened if I hadn't tried to schedule my trial, and she couldn't give me an answer. I also asked if the salon was ever planning to let me know that my appointments would be cancelled, and again I did not get a straight answer.
She did offer to do makeup herself and find someone to do hair, but at that point it was too little too late. This is a really unfortunate because I have loved coming to Salon Azure for the past 5 years. I want to be clear that every other interaction I've had has been incredibly positive, but I will never be able to go back after this historic, massive screw up. Yes, it's just wedding hair and makeup, but it was and is really important to me, and now I'm scrambling less than two months before my wedding to find replacements.
I would not recommend scheduling any type of special events hair or makeup with this location sadly. I wish there was no need for this review, but I just don't want anyone else to be burned like I have.

I love the fact that when I arrived I didn't have to wait to see my hair stylist. I had called about 20 minutes prior to my appointment to make sure she is not running behind and I was told she is running on time. When I arrived at the time of my appointment I did not have to sit there for 10 minutes before I was seen. A minute after I arrived my hair stylist came up to greet me.
That is a huge plus for me and I really appreciated that. Something I did not get at my previous hair stylist, even though I had stressed it is important to me. My hair stylist, Melody, was very professional, friendly, and carefully listened to all my requests and I must say she definitely delivered. I love my haircut and I will definitely stay with her and this hair salon, if everything continues as pleasant as my first visit. Thank you Salon Azure, Knoxville.

Stephanie is awesome! She gave me the exact haircut I wanted. I met with Jennifer for a color consultation. I made an appointment the following week. I got my hair colored red. It is a beautiful shade of red. They offer a two week follow up appointment where if there is something you aren't happy with they will fix it. For example maybe you wanted it a little shorter or that color wasn't quite right.
On my follow up I asked Jennifer if she could put more red in. I liked my hair color before alot. I wanted it to pop a little more. When she finished and my hair was styled she took me outside and she showed me my hair in a mirror. It has a beautiful shine to it that pops in the sunlight. I asked her how much I owed her and she said it was part of the two week follow up. It was free. Stephanie and Jennifer have won my trust with my hair. I am definitely going back in the future.

I never used to care much about how my hair looked and never put any effort into it, but on a whim I made an appointment here with Alexa. I went in with a vague idea of what I wanted and just let her do her thing, and she worked MAGIC on me! I LOVE my haircut, my hair has seriously never looked this good or this healthy. I totally recommend this salon and Alexa! She absolutely knows what she is doing!

AMY IS AMAZING, I had over a foot of hair to cut, I stuttered my way through what I wanted.she knew exactly not only that my hair is so thick a hair beret may go around it twice, she thinned it and you can't see a singel layer. When I went to the check out, they explained they do free hair cuts on anything over 10inches.

I wish I could say something besides what I am about to. Despite working to "recondition" my hair and make it something other than the hot mess Salon Azure created, it's STILL a hot mess. It's been some time since I was there last - April, I think - I really didn't see much point in returning, since they made it quite clear that they didn't intend to do anything beyond what they had already done during that last visit.
Like divorces and train wrecks prove, there are some things that cannot BE fixed. Some things are so completely ruined that they cannot ever be UN-ruined. That's the state of my hair. After weekly visits for conditioning treatments in preparation for a "color repair" appointment, all that's left is wreckage. Broken off pieces, irreparable hair damage, and my hair falling out.
The color was STILL yellow and brown, just in MUCH worse condition. FACT: my hair is TRASHED. FACT: Salon Azure trashed it. Ask anyone who has ever known me - my hair has ALWAYS BEEN THICK AND HEALTHY - until Salon Azure. I've started using Rogaine and taking biotin supplements. Thanks for nothing, y'all. Finally, a sympathetic friend ordered a pastel silver Overtone kit (which I used immediately) and I discovered some temporary spray-on color made by L'Oreal. That's right. Overtone and spray-on color - I should have gone with THAT to start with instead of spending hundreds of dollars for the pleasure of getting my hair shredded by professionals.
I have waited since April to write this review, hoping that the condition of my hair would improve, or at least I would be less upset about it. Here we are, in the middle of July, and my hair has not improved, nor is it likely to. Hair only grows about six inches a year, and considering that my hair USED to be past shoulder length. yeah. My hair MIGHT be back to "normal" in about three years. Unless and until that happy day arrives, I'm left to clean up the mess they left me to deal with. Bottom line? Forget you ever heard of Salon Azure.

I love Aveda and get great cuts and styling here. No complaints there. I also make a point to buy my Aveda products there to give them added business rather than buying online. In the past, I used an Aveda salon, and if there were ever scheduling issues, I got a call from my stylist, personally, in order to reschedule, which rarely happened. My stylist moved, and I had to find a new one. I've been happy with the stylist at Salon Azure and then later tried their wonderful massage therapist. Then, at 9 AM today, I received a generic text message from Salon Azure to let me know that my 11 AM massage (two hours later) was canceled.
The message, sent 5/27, said: "We just received word from Julie that she will be out tomorrow, 5/27. We sincerely apologize, may we see you with her another day? Thank you! -Azure." Now, I understand that emergencies happen, but how this was handled seemed highly unprofessional. They only have one massage therapist who works one day a week, so my rescheduling options were limited, and when responded to the cancelation text, I did not receive a reply.
This time was blocked off in my calendar, and I was taking time out of my day and schedule and looking forward to this massage, which I was receiving as a gift. Obviously, this was disappointing. Despite the good service I've received in the past, I drive far to get there and am put off by how little regard they they show their clients. Also, this salon sends an annoying number of texts to remind me of my appointments, which often run late (in my experience), and their stylists often seem to be in a rush, even though I now request longer appointments (I guess their standard appointment times are rather short--I don't know, but I've never had stylists in the past who scheduled me for less than 30-40 minutes for a cut and style).
I would have appreciated a phone call (preferably the day before) or some indication that the Salon wished to retain me as a client. In the future, I think I will use another Aveda salon closer to home and with more professional business practices.

I decided to get my hair dyed and cut and when I asked for what I wanted the stylist seemed to understand. I even showed her a picture of what I wanted. Once she was finished my hair ended being dark grey and brown instead of the light honey blonde and I told the styler that she had made my hair darker then the blonde I had and she tried to argue with me and tell me that I was wrong and proceeded to deny it instead of fixing it.
I was so upset and on top of that she was trying to tell me how MY natural hair was. I was really hoping for something nice since the salon had some good reviews but I was wrong. They seem to care more about the money then the customers. My hair said to

I went to this salon feb 12. For extensions and color you can only imagine the time and money I had spent that day ( besides the point ) not even 24hrs later I had to call my stylist back to tell her my color didn't match and I had already lost 6 of my extension, I had to go back in 48hrs after having the extensions applied to have my color fixed, and the bonds put back in from that point on I kept loosing them, and noticing bald spots.
I had them 3 weeks before getting them removed ( which I didn't want to do ) but my hair just didn't agree with the extensions, I wish my stylist would've told me that. They are not professional at all. She tried me it was a medical problem to go to a doctor ( she's a stylist not a doctor ) I then contacted the owner for her to look at my hair, they would never work with my time.
I had to always works with them, she saw my extensions told me they looked great that I was pulling them out ( now tell me what women in their right mind would pull out almost $2000 worth of hair ) they don't do refunds. Embarrassed me in front of everyone, she told me money was more import than Customer service when I asked her and the co owner then proceeded to tell me and my husband that we have buyers Remorse. Anyways I went and had another opinion from a stylist before my extensions wereremoved and in fact it was them that was damaging my hair and falling out leaving me with thinner and less hair then what I went in with. here are some pictures just to show you, why you never want to go to salon azure.

There is always a Owner on premises, which is very important. The Salon is open and inviting, and very well maintained. I highly recommend trying this Salon!

Everyone was very nice, and I loved my hair when I went home. Spent $200 to get my hair cut and balyage highlights + a product for split ends. As a first time customer, they very nicely offer a shampoo and blow out within 2 weeks of your appointment. I called to see if I could schedule 3 weeks out, as I was going out of town the week after my appointment.
They wouldn't make an exception. The red color was barely visible in my hair 2 weeks after my appointment, despite me following the instructions given to me (using a red shampoo/conditioner.) Even my friends at work started noticing and asked if I'd used a temporary color or something. Nope. Spent $200 actually. I called 2 Sundays ago and left a message on their machine about it.
No one called me back. I work ~60+ hour work weeks, so I don't really have time to track them down and make a new appointment time, but I guess my point is that it should have been done right the first time. Now it's been a month since my appointment and the color is 100% gone. I don't like to leave negative reviews, but I work long days, I make no money, and this was a waste of what little I do make. The day of my appointment vs. 3 weeks after photos below.

I was excited to get a summer hair cut. Went in with pictures of exactly what I wanted. My stylist was Ebony, she gave me a warm greeting. Apparently she has been working Azure Salon for 14 years with speciality of cutting hair, however there was no evidence after I left her chair. Her work was EXTREMELY SLOPPY! She was obviously in a hurry, she indicated she was running behind, did not have time to style hair after lousy haircut.
Just a really LOUSY hair cut. My appointment was early at 0930. How does anyone start off behind? I was nice enough to give her a $15 tip in addition to the $85. My tip to you is to not receive service from EBONY, she's complacent after 14 years of working for Azure Salon. This stylist wants to get as many clients in her chair as possible $$$$.
Quality of work is AWFUL. This was my 1st & last visit. I will NEVER utilize this establishment again. This stylist is a poor representation of Azure Salon. This establishment is so UNPROFESSIONAL, spoke with Amanda (office manager). She didn't want to make the situation better or thank me for $83 plus additional $15 tip. She wanted to ague with me! UNBELEIVEABLE! Extremely poor customer service. When people ask me, where the HELL did you get that LOUSY hair cut? I GLADLY tell them.

I was welcomed with coffee or tea when I came in and my stylist was ready at exactly the time of my scheduled appointment. I have been a lot of places where I have to wait forever. Sher was awesome and super sweet. She explained all of the products she used and even sent me home with a sample. I also got my eyebrows and lip waxed which normally isn't a great experience but here it was not as painful and my brows looked great.

Great service. I needed a few additional items for my wife for Christmas. I called on Christmas Eve and the salon only had two of the items I was looking for. On their shelf. They held them for me. I very much appreciate their willingness to help on such a hectic day. My wife and I will return to the salon for a massage. J.D. Jenkins

I just had an essentials massage by Rachel Watson. She applied the perfect amount of pressure and identified tension in areas I did not realize I had tension until the massage. It was very therapeutic without being painful. I have neck pain from job-related stress and tension related to holding my head down reading and working on the computer for my work.
I left with my neck pain relieved and I felt taller because my neck felt longer. Also, Ebony is an amazing stylist. She really has an eye and skill for cutting hair to flatter your face. She does it so quickly and easily too. She's particularly good with cutting bangs that will flatter you because she seems to me to have an eye for shapes and angles that are flattering and the small snips that make an overall big difference in how flattering a cut is for your face - particularly important with short cuts or bangs.
I had a somewhat negative experience with the masseuse at the Alcoa location, and the hostesses there picked up on the issue without me complaining to them. They actually called me to ask if everything was alright. When they heard about the awkward and uncomfortable interaction I had with their provider - they made it right by booking me with Rachel a few days later at the Bearden location.

My review is actually from a few years ago before the Yelp days. But it was so awful I felt the need to come warn others since I've met several people over the years with similar nightmares. The short of it, the 'colorist' fried my hair beyond repair. It literally was falling out for weeks, I had to spend a small fortune in products to repair it.
But I just had to grow it out. She also managed to get bleach on my shirt and pants then when rinsing it soaked into my underwear! So ruined over $100 worth of clothes and when leaving and I said I wasn't paying for fried hair and an entire ruined outfit; they said they would call the cops. Lol. As you can see from my pic, the hair recovered and grew out, but it took almost a year, and about $250 of Joico products.

First timer and last timer to this salon! Came in for a cut/color (ombre style). My colorist literally had no clue what she was doing. She prepared the color ( way too dark. my ombre color ended up DARKER than my natural color lol!) and she had no idea how to correctly complete the ombre style. We had to schedule a follow up appt to fix the color (.Which was complimentary) where I HAD TO EDUCATE her on how to do ombre. Lol needless to say, it was a pretty bad color job but I mustered through the experience.
The cut wasn't bad. Or good. Just your average run of the mill/boring cut you could get at "great clips" for a fourth the price. Recommendation for mgmt: your salon is beautiful and in a great location! Staff is quite friendly also. But please invest in your folks so they are up to date on how to deliver new techniques/style trends.
