I made an appointment for keratin treatment. Was given 10 am appt. I showed up on time, there is no receptionist. Evelyn was supposed to be my stylist, she was also not there. I waited for 45 minutes and still no one showed up. Very unprofessional. If stylist is not free, at least have the courtesy to call and cancel. Was very disappointed.

Overheard one of the male stylist talking to the front desk lady very rudely about his client over where to park. The client walked in, she was over 60 and needed help, he rolled his eyes and went to help her with the parking meter. I thought it was unprofessional for him to be this fake to a client.

I went to this salon because I had grown out a bleach job I did on my own, and there was a harsh line between my natural, darker color and my roots. I asked Evelyn for a hairstyle that would blend the blonde with my roots, and look good when my hair grew out. She was amazing! She knew exactly what I was describing, and gave me a balayage that blended so well with my natural color, you couldn't tell where one part started and the other stopped! She also toned and cut my hair, and put something in it that made it softer than it's felt since i bleached it. Very happy with how it turned out!

This salon is a gem. The staff is so nice and kind. I've had a couple of cuts and just got highlights and couldn't be more happy. Just wonderful!

Lovely Staff. The person who did my eyebrows was really nice! She is knowledgeable of facials of skincare. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the eyebrow wax charge is on the pricey side. Even though it was the most painless eyebrow wax I have had, my hair grew back within two days (where it is usually seven to ten days).

I can't understand how this place has 5 stars. It's mediocre at best. I went to Evelyn to get a single process hair dye and simply wanted to trim up my bangs. I came into the appointment having a reference picture of what I want but I'm no professional so I was asking her for her opinion. She was somewhat rude when I wasn't sure of what I wanted. She consulted another hair dresser (he seemed very knowledgeable and courteous) which is perfectly fine.

Here come the bad parts. She didn't comb my hair at all before she started applying the dye. Therefore she was literally ripping apart my hair to section it. I've gotten my hair dyed over 50 times and I've never had a hair dresser pull my hair like that. It was very painful. Anyways, the color came out and it was actually very nice. It wasn't what I asked for. but it was still very pretty so I didn't mind that.

After getting my hair washed (the lady who washed it was very nice) I asked to get my bangs trimmed. They came out absolutely horrible. I've been wearing a hair band since I've been at my appointment. They're not styled into my hair at all, it basically looks like a choppy clip on bang. I couldn't believe it. Lastly I got my hair blown out and she did a terrific job with that. Ultimately, I'm not so sure that I'd come here again. The color okay, the blowout was great but the haircuts scared me.

Gloria is the best! If you want a beautiful perfect hair extensions don't hesitate to talk to Gloria! I bleached my hair at home during the pandemic and basically I fried them. All I had left was a short very brittle hair. I missed having a long hair. So I decided to look for a professional hair artist who really knows how to do extensions. I found Gloria and she did an amazing job! I highly recommend her to anyone. She's really the best

Gloria is absolutely fantastic! She took the time to advise me how to restore my hair that was desperately in need of professional coloring back to vibrancy and with natural looking highlights that I haven't enjoyed in years. She is extremely professional, explaining her technique and what to expect. The results were flawless. In addition, she is genuinely kind and goes out of her way to make the experience stress-free. Her expertise and attention to the small details make it really easy to trust in her judgment and know you will leave feeling and looking your best!

If, like me, you have been searching for a long time to find a stylist excited to help you achieve the short-hair style of your dreams. ask for Eyal at Eyma Salon and Spa in Bethesda. Honestly, who would have thought a deceptively simple, flattering, no-fuss pixie-cut could prove such an elusive goal? Anyone who has waited for their hair (and bank account) to grow back after their last demoralizing appointment, that's who.

It turns out not many stylists are currently interested in, no less experienced at, creating the perfect pixie or other short styles. Eyal shared that he really does enjoy making use of the particular skills shorter styles require. He also took the time to study the size and shape of my face compared to a photograph of the style I hoped he could help me achieve.

He talked me through how and why it would work for me and how he could accomplish it. It was refreshing to realize a stylist understood what I was after. It was fun to feel that his hands and scissor work proved deft and confident. It was exhilarating to walk out of a salon happy and gratified that yes, this is what I've been trying to find. a really good short haircut.

Two side notes. I felt safe re Covid 19 precautions and the staff, from the receptionist to the lovely Rosa who washed my hair were all very welcoming. Thank you, Eyal and Eyma Salon.

Evelin helped create a beautiful change to my hair/look. I am so so so happy with how everything turned. I chopped 6+in and did highlights. The cut and color look great. The highlights blend so well with my brown hair abd the cut is exactly what I wanted. I also had a problem with childcare that day and had to bring my baby and she was so totally sweet with her. It was such a great experience. Highly recommend!

If I could do less than one star I would. Birthday balayage disaster with Evelin. Charged more than quoted. Color not as requested. When asked to correct or for recourse YELLED. My first time getting my hair done here was super satisfy, Gloria is the best! I show her the color that I want and she is amazing, make my hair look so good! Best ever!

I had a great experience with EYMA on my birthday. The staff is very friendly, follows covid precautions closely and made me feel pampered. Iwas very happy with how meticulous and dedicated the stylist was in doing my hair. I got a keratin treatment that looks amazing. My hair is wild thick and hard to tame, and EYMA was able to make it look healthy, shiny and fresh. Thank you EYMA for your services! Here is a picture of my hair the night after my visit at EYMA.

This was the absolute worst experience at a salon that I've ever had, ever. I only made an appointment here cause my usual place was still closed. Got a "bayalage" with Evelyn who was getting her own hair done as she was attempting to do mine AND another client (I cant even begin on how unprofessional this was). This wasn't even the worst part though cause the bleach was left on my hair so long that it caused chemical burn and I have chunks of hair missing that will take months and months to grow out. AND the horror continues.the shampoo lady went to brush my chemically burnt and wet hair and it was in such bad shape that more chunks came out.

The roots weren't even touched and my hair is in such bad shape that unfortunately there is nothing that can be done but cut it and baby it until it grows some. I'm including some pictures and also one with my face blurred out of what my hair usually looks like at my usual salon so you can see the difference. And all this horror for the low low price (sarcasm here) of $385 which I was never told!

No receipt, no breakdown, nothing. Please do yourself a huge favor and avoid at all costs. Nothing, NOTHING this place could offer to make this better would even come close to making it better

I needed a new salon, and they got me in with less than 24 hours notice! Jackie was amazing. You can tell she really cares about her clients, and keeping them happy. The other staff members would ask me if I needed anything regularly, which was very nice. Jackie and EYMA now have a new loyal client!

The customer service is impeccable. However, the hair color/style that I requested was not to par. For $300 price you would think my hair color would be dramatically changed but it was not. Definitely on the pricey end, not worth it.

Jackie has been doing my hair for a few months now! I have platinum blonde hair and she does a great job. I used to bleach my hair myself because no one knew how I liked it done but she always does a really good job. She takes her time and she really cares and makes sure she knows what you want. Especially if you get her number and text her a week before you go in she will go to the store and buy you the color you want and everything. If you go there I definitely recommend going to see Jackie!

Jackie took the time to listen and discuss with me my vision for my hair. She was meticulous in getting the contrast in the base color and highlights just right and the cut was exactly what I wanted. Violet

I made an appointment here because it was close to our wedding venue. Even though I was disappointed the way my hair turned out (it was a simple twist with curls, but came apart in 20min - so basically $85+tip gone), I wasn't going to leave a review because what's done is done. I noticed the girls didn't get the styles they had previously showed me in pictures.

So at the wedding, I asked my girls how they liked their hair. One by one they shyly told me how none of them got what they actually asked for. NONE. We were all disappointed. One girl took her hair down halfway through the wedding (it really looked awful), and the other one actually ended up redoing it herself before the wedding. Hence why I decided to leave a review.

On a side note, I worked in the salon business for about 7 years so was taken aback when my stylist didn't even say "hi" or introduce herself to me. It made it very awkward and uncomfortable. I tried to strike up conversation, and in her defense, she turned out to be alright, but not greeting me at all left a sour taste in my mouth. This salon should really step up their customer service, especially for the prices they are charging. Honestly, I would not recommend this place nor will any of us return again.

Eyal colored my hair to perfection! I'm a brunette with carmel highlights and lowlights. I have had my hair done by two other colorists at another salon and they didn't even come close to Eyal's technique! Additionally, my haircut was perfect. I have had many compliments. Everyone loves the finished product as much as me! I would highly recommend him. He takes his time and works closely with the client. Barbara

Edit 2 Management was very responsive when I reached out. They replaced the hair I didn't want free of charge and gave me a few extensions on the house. The owner was involved in my second appointment. I was listened to with expectations laid out explicitly, was treated respectfully and in the end I walked away with beautiful hair. ------ Edit: I'm still very confused why this appointment went so badly when I had such a good experience the first time.

I went in with some matted extensions and wanted them sorted. I told my dresser I would come back with hair (half the extensions had fallen out) at which time I wanted more of the same but less bulk. Cool she agreed. What happened was none of these things. I confirmed with her multiple times what I wanted and what we were going to do. "Ok a couple new extensions but same length and style as before right?

And then I'll come back to finish properly?" "Yes." Its important it be that length because it's necessary for my job." "Yes the same." (Its not, so now I have to find another place and do this AGAIN so I can go to work.) "Dont cut the fringe I know you don't like it but I like it this way." "Ok." She cuts it. Ten minutes later I had a bob 3 inch shorter (guess I'm not sure how to eyeball inches tbh) than I wanted.

There was never a discussion of a bob. I don't like bobs I didn't want a bob. Me: "This is a lot more even and shorter than we discussed." Her: "Well it's a new you." What the hell? No. This same bizarre situation repeated over and over. Finally I explicitly said "stop I dont like this" multiple times and she just kept going like everything was fine. Like. is there any situation where it's ok to keep doing something to a person when they explicitly tell you stop I don't like it?

Still verbally expressing that I don't like it but being ushered out anyway I try to give the last benefit of the doubt and set up a follow up appointment in a couple days to fix this disaster at the front desk she has the nerve to go "well don't wash your hair too soon we'll see you in couple months." Seriously? Honestly it was pretty triggering and I cried all the way home.

Still don't understand how saying I want XY and Z and then STOP I don't like this resulted in what I have. Do not recommend this place unless you're ok with having what you wanted ignored, dismissed and then charged even when you tell them to stop.

Evelyn has done the best hair I have had outside of New York! I came in crying because another salon turned me away and said they couldn't help me. She was so kind and immediately calmed me down. She looked at my dark, damaged hair and delivered a gorgeous, chestnut/auburn color with some light highlights. I have never WANTED to go get my hair done so badly. I cannot wait to go back and have her work more of her magic. It's amazing when your stylist is talented but also a wonderful person. I would recommend her to anyone.

Eyma Salon is amazing! Jackie is seriously a godsend. She was just a fantastic, warm woman from the moment I met her. I came to her with complicated hair - blonde, grown out, naturally curly. She transformed my hair into a beautiful masterpiece! She knows her stuff like the back of her hand. You will not regret going here. So happy I've found my regular stylist!

I stumbled onto EYMA on a Sunday because my previous stylist moved out of the area and her salon didn't have anybody that could take me. I called a few salons and when I said I had very thick and curly hair, everybody said, maybe not here. When I called EYMA, the receptionist said, come on in. So within the hour, I was there and Jackie was amazing from the first moment I met her.

She was so patient and wasn't at all intimidated by my thick and curly hair. She knew the perfect way to cover my gray and add highlights. I would recommend Jackie Paez for any kind of hair style/service that you need. Go see her now!
