The employees are great and I receive many compliments on my hair. I also enjoy relaxing with a cup of tea while getting my hair processed. I have been a loyal customer for 10 years.

This is a very upscale salon in a quaint neighborhood in Cabin John. I recently had a Brazilian Blowout and love it. I have received many compliments on how soft and shiny my hair looks. Will definitely return to Salon Jean & Day Spa.

Living in the neighborhood, I'd been so excited that Salon Jean offers "kid cuts" for discounted prices a couple of weekdays each week. But after about half a dozen times with either scheduling mess ups, up charging because Jean performs the cut and such coldness by one stylist one of my preteen kids cried, it's time to find a much better salon! I received waxing services for myself that were subpar - not per my request and burned my skin. I do not recommend.

My daughter and I went in, both with very long hair that was all one length. I disastrously saw Jean, she saw Jacob. Before meeting the stylist, the assistant washed our hair, which was odd, considering I would think the stylist would want to see hair dry before consulting on what to do. Jean asked me what I wanted and I said a trim with a little bit of shaping.

My trim became 4-5 inches of chunky, ugly, uneven cutting in the front. So now I have a chunk of long hair in the back and some ugly, chunky bob in the front. My hair went from several inches past my armpit to my shoulders. Jean just gave me the haircut she wanted to give me without listening. I told her it was way too much during the cut and she just said "it just seems that way because of the way I cut". It will take two years to grow back my beautiful hair. My daughter saw Jacob and he was great - her hair is still beautiful and long with a conservative trim.

Be careful with this one. When I booked an appointment, the front desk girl scheduled it for the wrong day. They charged me anyway, even though I showed them the appointment card indicating the correct date. I tried to complain, but was told it was "store policy" to charge customers for a "no show" even if it was their fault. What's that about? Got a refund from my bank, but what kind of business tries to scam someone for $50 when they could generate so much more revenue by saying, "Sorry, our mistake. When can we rebook you?"
