Squeezed me in during my lunch hour to get my hair curled! Was much appreciated! Very polite ladies!

My stylist is the owner and she has been caring for my hair for over 30 years. This Salon is not pretentious it's not overpriced, the staff is friendly and outgoing and the stylists are very good at what they do. You can have your hair done your nails done your feet done your face done and feel like a new person when you leave.

I've had my hair cut at Van Buren's for 20+ years -- I am now 27 and live out-of-state but still come back to Ann Arbor to have my hair done here by Anne. I've had both cuts and color appointments, and many different hair styles over the years, and I always leave the salon happy. I have often come in looking for opinions on a style, and they always give great advice. I feel at home here and cannot recommend Van Buren's enough!

Best salon I've been to. Great customer service, they always work with you to make sure you get exactly what you are looking for. I personally have had a hard time with previous salons knowing what to do and what not to do with my ethnic hair which is long, dark, thick, and naturally wavy. Many people don't know how to work with that combination and one wrong cut or product can really mess things up.

I go to Holly and feel like I have finally found someone that takes time to listen as and knows that you can't texurize or razor hair like mine. As far as color goes, she is great at coming up with techniques to get me what I want with the least amount of damage. She is also very transparent as to what will work and what won't and she always finds a way to get the look I want.

I like getting highlights of different colors and in the past I've been told no that would not look good or we can't do that. Well, I get a couple different shades of blonde and light brown put in my hair and Holly has no problem doing it. If you want a great all around experience go see Holly at van burens salon

Great salon! Very clean and they take Covid very serious and I felt very safe. Holly Piper is an awesome stylist and listened to what I wanted and gave me the exact haircut I asked for! Highly recommend this salon and this stylist!

It's always a treat when Susan cuts my hair! She's the best! She does a great job and she's fun to talk to! Dawn the reception is friendly and so energetic!

I took a chance on this salon after I bought a groupon for a haircut, full highlight and conditioning treatment and I am so glad I did. Holly is an excellent stylist who clearly really cares about her clients and their hair. I love my haircut and color and will definitely be coming back for a touch up before my wedding in september!

I was nervous going in since my hair desperately needed style and layering help. New salon, not too far from home, new stylist, FINALLY a haircut I need, oh man. The owner/stylist greeted me and introduced me to HOLLY who was waiting for me. We discussed my concerns and my needs for the mess on my head. I showed her the Pinterest pictures on my phone of the style I was going for.now at this length and ongoing.

I had already read her reviews on this site and was impressed. She was very attentive (THANK YOU). She did not disappoint in any area. The salon itself is clean, busy, friendly, easy to find with ample parking. HOLLY was everything her reviews said and more. She is a perfectionist in her cuts (THANK YOU). She took her time And I walked out one VERY HAPPY new customer. This place is a gem of a find and that certainly includes HOLLY. The prices are very reasonable especially for Ann Arbor. I have found my new . YAY .

I really enjoyed the level of care and attention Aimee gave me today. She really focused on bettering my hair with educational skills on how to best handle and care for my hair and new hair style. She was amazing. Will be returning.

I've had a few salon visits in my life go horribly awry - so it took me awhile to get the courage to try again. I went to Van Buren's for the first time, (with Holly!) for a highlight session and it turned out wonderfully. I went back when it was time to get the highlights retouched with a notion of 'I WANT MORE BLONDE' though I didn't know if that meant an all-over color or what. Holly again used her expertise and know-how to put "more blonde" in my hair, safely and with an amazing final result. I've never loved my hair so much, Holly is a master at providing the perfect amount of "MORE BLONDE" while keeping it healthy and soft. Thanks so much!

Holly has styled my pixie/bob hair cut for the past several months and it has always been an appointment I look forward to! I can count on her to send me on my way relaxed and with a haircut I love!

I moved from Michigan to Florida a year and 1/2 ago and realized how hard it is to find a stylist that I love as much as Susan. I miss her dearly! I never had any issues with getting my hair done when she was my stylist because she listened and was meticulous. I greatly recommend her and Van Buren's salon. If I could plop this salon down here in my town is be ecstatic! Go to Van Buren's and ask for Susan. Still searching for my "stylist" here.

I have been going to Van Buren's for my hair for several years. Everyone is friendly and accommodating; Aimee is my favorite stylist. She knows what I like, and always makes great suggestions to ensure that I look my best. Today she worked with me to address some upcoming neck surgery limitations and ways to keep my hair manageable. She also stayed later to remove my nail polish as polished nails are not allowed for surgery. She us the best, and Van Buren's is my go to place

Amazing Salon! I went here to get my nails done and they did a perfect job - No mistakes and the service was great! I saw many girls getting their hair done and the styles were so unique and fun! I recommend this Salon to everyone who is looking for a fantastic, new hairstyle!

Went there on a groupon and took my teen daughter. She got a great cut but she said she'd never go back because the other customers were "at least 70 or over". In the hour we were there, I'd say about 7 to 10 elderly ladies walked in. It was the middle of the day so that might change later but my daughter was a bit embarrassed.
