Great service, calm setting! I was nervous about getting a haircut around Ann Arbor, but I'm so happy to have chosen here. They also have a jar of candy for customers!

I worked here 7 years ago before I left the state. I am leaving a positive and honest review to help them out. A lot of people that were there when I was are still there. They did not hire me the first time I applied because I needed to beef up my skills. I came back improved a year later and got the job. I was trained in cosmetology but discovered I was a barber at heart. Matt and his father graciously trained me to gain those skills.

No business is perfect and things we don't plan to happen happen. I had different views and had run into the usual workplace drama, but we were eventually able to work it out and things were smoothed over the best it could have been and I left on good terms. I see a lot of the same people are there, and I will say they take their time more than any place for that price range no matter what city or state you are in.

I payed the same for a haircut down here and it was bad. I have to pay double what CB charges to find someone to care enough and pay attention to what they are doing. Matt is great at barbering and cosmetology cuts, and has always put his customer's requests first. He does what he can to have the whole shop work that way. Not all customers are easy no matter what business you are in, and from time to time someone will just not be happy, and the critical review isn't always wrong, but I know for the most part this place tries very hard to make their customers happy.

With any business sometimes people can get a little bloodthirsty when leaving critical feedback. I know they will try to make it up to any customer that is unhappy, even the ones that are a pain in the culoo. There were times I did not talk to people and later regretted. I was corrected for that. There were times I talked too much lol. My personality was completely different than those there, but in the end I appreciated they worked with me and gave me some solid training where I learned how to be better at cutting hair at any previous institution I worked/trained at.

With that said, if you are looking for a decent cut for a highly reasonable price, especially considering what is charged in that town, it's worth giving them a chance. I included the good, bad and ugly so this review will be recognized for it's honesty and integrity.

Been going to Campus Barber for years and years. It's always hard to keep a stylist, and I switched to Terry years ago. He's done such an amazing job! I feel lucky to have someone so reliable and kind. Thanks!

I went in to get a tiny trim and have the back of my hair faded. The hairdresser shaved my sideburns without asking. I asked for her to cut the tips a little bit, but cut off about an inch. Again, did not ask for specifics, just did what she thought was right. Now, my hair doesn't frame my face well at all. The back of my hair was good, but she didn't shave off enough off of my neck.

I do not like writing critical reviews, but I'm sad and embarrassed about this haircut. I was hesitant, but wanted my hair looking fresh. It was overpriced, especially because I didn't get the style I wanted. I wish I could get at least a partial refund. At least two of the stylists were not wearing masks, either. With the uptick in cases, it would seem logical to wear them.

The hairdresser was nice, but I wouldn't go back. My review is meant to be honest about my visit, not meant to shade anyone. My advice is to always check in with the customer before cutting what you may instinctively think is best.

The stylist (was it Candice? In corner chair, if you have hair similar to mine, avoid her AT ALL COSTS) asked me how long I wanted my hair and after I showed she asked "shoulder length?", I said "yes". My hair ended up at least 1.5 inch shorter and when she asked "does it look ok?" I said "it's significantly shorter than shoulder length but it's fine" she pulled my hair from the back to the base of my neck and said "it's exactly shoulder length".

I barely managed to hold my tears until I left the salon. Plus she was not careful with my hair, pulled pretty harsh, definitely more than needed. I even "ouched" once, she said "sorry" but it did not get much better after it. During the whole haircut she seemed to be in not a good mood, got this impression from her uncareful moves and how she responded when some of the colleagues addressed to her.

I will not stop coming to that place, my previous time with different stylist was amazing, but I definitely never want this person anywhere close to my hair again. (corner seat, stylist with curly gray-ish brown-ish hair, I have not asked for a name unfortunately). I took the photo later at gym, once my face stopped being red and puffy from crying.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value I came in today for a haircut last minute before an interview. The haircut was amazing the stylus was very friendly and gave me lots of positive Energy. I went to my interview landed it thank you so much. I never leave reviews on Google, but I felt it was important to do so in this instance. I do not know about the other barbers here, but I would recommend that you stay far away from Lisa B. She gave me, by far, the worst haircut experience I have ever had. Not only was her demeanor unpleasant, but she only took 10 min on my hair. She did not speak to me one time during the haircut and even turned me away from the mirror.

I would avoid this place like the plague. It is cramped, and the barbers seem stressed out. Maybe the others are better, but my experience was awful. If I could rate this place zero stars, I would. I will never come back here again.

Campus Barber is always my go-to. Everyone working there is always friendly and I'm always very satisfied with the work they do. I just went there for my first haircut since the beginning of the pandemic and I thought they did a fine job of keeping their customers safe. Temperature checks at the door, plastic between the chairs, and everyone was wearing a mask! I really appreciated the care they all took.

I'm very picky about where i get my hair cut. Took me awhile to finally visit this salon, when i did it was the best decision i ever made. The staff is friendly, and very skilled. I bring my whole family now. Very affordable and i rarely ever have to wait, walk-ins are wonderful.

Sandy has been my stylist for likely 20+ years. She's amazing, kind, and very good at her job. I would like to say we've become friends over the years. She remembers details of my family and my life and I similar of hers. She and Matt and the other owners have hired good people through the years and have run an excellent business They have done well during this strange season to protect their clients.

You can feel safe going here at this time and you won't be disappointed with the level of care and concern they give. This is a time to support our long term, local businesses and this is your place! You guys are great!
