My experience with Shawon was amazing! I was in town from California and wanted to have my hair professionally done.not a relaxer but the smoothing treatment she offered in her services. I was very relieved that it was just she and I in the shop. And she explained the process and so I had the one step smoothing system.and it made my hair silky soft and I am so glad I had it done.

I am about 5 days in and the whole time I was in ATL it didn't kink up or frizz like it normally does and that is exactly what I wanted. I am thrilled with the results and will figure out what I need to do in 2-3 months! Might just have to come back to ATL! Thanks Shawon for your expertise.

I made an appointment with SP Haircare two months in advance. I made sure that Shawon knew I was in town for a wedding. She rescheduled my appointment 5 times without consulting me first. (I have the text messages to prove it.) I received so many messages that I finally had to call Shawon because in the end, I had no idea what time she had settled on.

I arrived 15 minutes early to be on the safe side. I had to wait 45 minutes before I was taken to the bowl to be shampooed. The service I received was a shampoo, blow dry and flatiron style. No color, no cut. I was there for 3 hours for an appointment that should have taken 90 minutes tops. Shawon's niece was her next appointment and Shawon was pulling foundation colors for her niece and more focused on selecting a foundation for her, than finishing my hair.

The cost for my hair was $85. I paid Shawon a total of $102 ($85 +20% tip) through Venmo. Soon after I left, Shawon sent me a text message and snapshot saying she had two different totals for me. She then called me saying that I chose to pay her as a business transaction on Venmo. I explained to Shawon that I paid her the $85 she said I owed her plus a %20 tip for a total of $102. (I have a confirmation from Venmo that I paid and she accepted the $102).

She tried to insinuate that I only paid her $99. Even if that were true, which it was not, she still received her money for the appointment with a nice tip. Why she would call and text me regarding a $3 discrepancy is beyond me. The entire experience was completely unprofessional and petty.

So my hair was literally falling out of my head by just touching it! I went to SP hair care after hearing such good things! They literally saved my hair! No more shedding! I don't know what they did but I am so thankful! All the treatments worked within a day! My hair is back to being healthy! Service: Hairstyling

My hair is sleek, manageable, sexy, bouncy, shiny and healthy. I've been going to Shawon for 4 months now every 2 weeks. I have always been hesitant about going to the salon to get my hair done because I have so much hair that most don't know how to do it right. The first thing that drew me in was her own thick hair that was styled beautifully. I knew then that this was someone that could handle the large amount of hair that I have.

The first visit she immediately identified my hairs problem areas and set out to begin treatment. It would take longer then the time that I had booked but she was very accommodating and instead of making me rebook she worked with me in getting my hair done that day. She took her time and all I really cared about was getting my hair healthy so I asked her to cut off all the old color from my hair which was about 8 inches.

With hair that was past my mid back most wouldn't want to sacrifice the length. I felt comfortable enough with Shawon for her to trust the process. By the time we were finished it was 5 hours later and my hair had never felt and looked as nice as it had in that moment. I immediately booked my next session for two weeks later. My hair lasted the two weeks with minimal effort on my part. This is one of the best investments I have made and I definitely recommend Shawon for all your hair needs. My hair is continually growing and is very healthy.

Shawon Pinder SP Haircare Salon did an awesome job with my hair, I've been here multiple times and she never disappoints. She is very professional and takes great care of your hair. She has been doing my hair for years, and since she has been doing my hair, no stylist can get it the healthiest or straightest like she does mine. She is very sweet and understanding of your needs, and grows your hair and takes care of it as if it were her own. Will be coming back as long as her salon is up and running! I visited SP HairCare for the first time today and enjoyed my time with Shawon. She is very knowledgable and was able to quickly access the condition of my hair. She suggested a treatment plan for my visit, and, provided information about products I can use at home. After my relaxer and cut my hair felt great- silky and smooth just the way I like it!

I have been coming to SP HairCare seeing Shawon Pinder for about 4-6months now. I went from wearing wigs consistently, which damaged my hair and Shawon Pinder saved my hair! Shawon is amazing. I've gotten custom colored extensions twice and love them. The color is amazing. She is the best at keeping your hair looking amazing and healthy.

So I moved to Atlanta in 2014 and had neglected my hair for nearly 2 years. My coworker (Renicka) always had beautiful hair flowing and glowing around the workplace and she is the reason for me being saved. Shawon sensed my anxiety around "cutting" my hair but was able to instantly put me at ease once she explained the benefit from ridding me of the damage.

I was a perm wearing, inconsistent and hair careless type of client. Shawon explained to me the discipline my hair needed and how I could go natural and see instant results. When she flat irons your hair she does NOT burn your scalp my hair was so silky and polished.

I've been coming to Shawon since I've moved down to ATL about two years ago and my hair has gotten so much healthier. After all of the damage I did to my hair while in college, my hair needed some TLC. Shawon has helped with growing and strengthening my hair. I'm so lucky to have found her.

I came here in December for a virgin hair relaxer. I was very happy with the initial result but less satisfied with how it turned out afterwards. While Shawon was very hospitable, I think she may have sensed that since I was a college student I wouldn't be a returning patron, so she wasn't that attentive. Everything seemed fine when she finished but I started to notice some things that she may have been lax on as I observed my hair.

First my hair wasn't the same texture all the way through. She told me after rinsing that the relaxer that I had chosen wouldn't make my hair completely straight and that there would still be some texture. I thought that could be something that she could have mention before she put it on my head but I let it slide. However after wetting my hair by myself for the first time I realized that my hair wasn't the same texture all the way through.

The back was completely straight while the top was very curly. I think she could've done a more thorough job. Upon writing this review, I was contacted by Shawon to see if there was something she could do to make me more pleased with my hair. I greatly appreciate her reaching out to make sure I'm satisfied.

When I moved to Atlanta 2.5 years ago, my hair was badly damaged and in need of some serious TLC. I remember finding Shawon online. When I showed up to her salon, I was overwhelmed and freaking out about my hair condition. I had a wedding in 8 months, and whole lot of rehabilitation to be done on my head. As I explained and warned her about my course, dry, and very damaged hair, She patiently listened, smiled, and said."trust me with your hair." And so I did.

She nurtured my relaxed hair to health and never relaxer shamed me (bc yes.some of us still use relaxer). Come time for my wedding, She travelled to Nashville and styled me and my bridal party. She stayed during my ceremony and reception, carefully touching me up to make sure every hair was picture perfect. A year after getting married, I had a baby and proceeded to not comb my hair for a month (LITERALLY, no comb, no water, just a head band to hide the shame).

I showed up to her salon apologetic and scared of the havoc I had wrecked. She chuckled, reassured me, and got to work. I left her salon with the cutest low maintenance cut EVER! Just what I needed! The thing that has impressed me most about Shawon is simply her expertise, She has cut, colored, relaxed, and placed extensions at various times during these past 2.5 years she's been taking care of my hair. She's a well rounded stylist and excels in so many areas.

She is not a one trick pony. My hair has never been healthier. I get soooo many compliments on my hair. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how my hair looks and feels. In Atlanta, you'll find people who promise to make your hair look good but it's hard to find someone who will keep your hair healthy in the process. She focuses on the health of your hair! Excellent, professional stylist. I was dreading trying to find a hair stylist when I moved to Atlanta but fortunately I found Shawon. She's patient, listens to what you need and produces beautiful results. I never feel uncomfortable while I'm there and I won't spend half the day stuck at the hair salon.
