Sherita is amazing! My hair looks and feels great. Her spirit is warm and inviting. I felt like I knew her for years! My shampoo was phenomenal the girl who did was super sweet. Sherita reshaped my hair into what I really wanted it to be. I am now an "every two weeks" girl!

Yayness! Super duper excited about my color, cut and style. My stylist Mercedes really did an amazing job on my hair. I trusted hair to create a custom color and cut for me. I was not disappointed at all. She is highly recommended for sure! After service I received a product consultation to educate me on upkeep and products. Overall great job! Pics to come

Someone recommended me this place to get my lashes done here. When I looked at Google Maps I realized that I was here before, like a year ago. I wanted a balayage and it turned out what you will see in the photos. My hair was yellow and stained, they didn't even use foils. The only solution they gave me was to return to my natural color, to which I replied no.

After paying $ 450 dollars and having my hair done yellow I no longer wanted to be touched by them anymore. Before they say that my name does not appear in their records, my name is not the one that appears here. The photo where I have dark hair is BEFORE going to this salon.

Today I had the worst experience at a Hair Salon. I felt like I had been rob & took advantage of with the amount I was charge for a single wash & Set and a black rinse. 85$ and my hair looked like the back porch of the country. The owner did not do my hair. I was so upset, but didn't express my feelings because I didn't want them to call the police.

So I left there in slinence. But I'm still upset 9 hours after service. I can say that the atmosphere and decor was excellent. But I will never go back there. I only went because I'm having surgery on December 23rd. And several of my Church members highly recommend the Owner.

I've only come to salon a few times. The decor is very nice and everyone seems to have a great attitude. I believe when it comes to service it is vital to inform your customer of price changes. If I go to you wanting the same style and price that I received before that's what I expect. My first initial visit I paid $60 that included ends trim and good conditioner.

Mind you this time around it was no end trimming. My recent visit I was charged $75 and I'm not sure for what it was a simple blowout and flatiron. With that being said I will not being returning. It sucks because Tiffany was nice and I did plan on sticking with her, but you don't play with people money and most importantly stay consistent. No one has time for that Atlanta scamming junk. When it comes to price changes inform new, old and existing customers.

I went to this salon on April 27th for a wash and press. I was a walk-in and they were able to see me which I greatly appreciated because my sister was getting married that day and I wanted my hair to be fresh. My regular stylist was out of town. When I arrived, it was indeed a very nice and clean salon. Then I was greeted by the receptionist and again was delighted.

We started to converse and I shared with her that I am natural and if anyone knows how to press natural hair and she immediately stated yes. She then explained how all of the stylist are certified to do natural hair. I was very skeptical and I shared with her I've had a bad experience in the past with going to a Dominican Stylist and I had heat damage and my hair would not curl after that.

She assured me and stated she has the perfect person for me. I OK'd it and waited for the stylist to arrive. In walks Tiffany, as professional as they come. I expressed to her again about my hair being natural and when you wet it, it will curl up and I want to keep it that way. She assured me that it would. Well she indeed pressed my hair with a flat iron and it did look beautiful.

But I explained the real test is going to be when I wash my hair, will it curl back up and unfortunately tonight when I washed it.it did not in a lot of places. I am truly heart broken. I will have to make an appointment with my regular stylist to cut all the damaged hair off. This salon was indeed professional, clean and has all the wonderful things a person who is NOT natural will definitely enjoy. However if you are part of the #teamnatural movement.this is NOT the place to go. Always follow your first mind.

Theron is my Stylish. I've never been disappointed. She is always Prompt. Never have to wait. She does your hair as you ask and in a timely manner. I am so glad that she was recommended to me. Theron has made my hair Healthy and Beautiful. I Always receive Compliments on my Mane I would also like to Shout Out BRITTANY Front Desk. She does a Great Job very Polite And she seems to remember client names very well.

Erika is an excellent stylist. She is very personable & listened to my request/concerns & my wash & style came out flawless! She is def interested in getting your hair healthy AND beautiful. The prices are appropriate- the salon is nice. I'd go back.

Erika Star is the best. She is very quick and thorough. She's has been doing my hair for years and taking great care of it. Genisis Hair Salon has nothing but good vibes and professional hair stylist. Great place to get your hair done.

Spent a lot of time and money at this salon today for a haircut.my hair is very clean and I heard cutting but it's the same style as it was when I went in there. No I didn't ask for a trim, I showed the stylist pics and detailed what I wanted. I'm combing thru my hair now trying to figure out what (did she do) to do with it! I guess I should be grateful that she didn't get scissor happy and scalp me but I wish I at least had a new style for the money I spent.

I couldn't be more happy with my experience at Genesis Hair Art. I was visiting Atlanta and needed a stylist last minute. After being referred to Sherita, I called her and she was very kind, professional and willing to accommodate me at the last minute. She was very considerate of my time and concerned with providing me with great service within a reasonable time frame, so that I could maximize my time in Atlanta.

When I arrived at the salon I was very impressed with how kind and professional everyone was. It was a very peaceful environment and the receptionist offered me water, a place to put my luggage and showed me where to charge my phone. I quickly noticed that they sold all of the products that the stylist use in the salon. This way clients can manage and take care of their own hair at home.

I was so happy to see that Sherita uses quality products. Her assistant was also very kind and took her time with my services. Sherita did an amazing job cutting and styling my hair. When I paid for my services I was advised on exactly what the cost entailed (I really liked that). To top everything off Sherita referred me to a great makeup artist and even took it upon herself to reach out to me to make sure I was happy with the makeup services that I received. Needless to say, I will be visiting Genesis Hair Art again the next time I'm in Atlanta. Thanks for the great service!

Pros: This salon is very clean, great atmosphere and friendly hairstylists. My hairstylist was Mercede, she colored my hair and trimmed my ends. Her professionalism was unmatched. Everyone made me feel comfortable and I will definitely go back. Con: The only thing I wasn't too fond of was I wasn't aware of all the work that needed to be done on my hair which altered the price I budgeted for in the beginning. Piece of advice for the shop check online appointments and consult the customer of any changes that may be required for the desired style.

Had horrible experiences at salons here in Atlanta trying to find a good colorist for my blonde. Once again like the first shop I went to I ended up with a lil to none experienced colorist without a cosmetology license color my hair when I called and specifically asked for the best stylist that specializes in color in the shop, it was very weird having another stylist/the owner directing her on how to do my hair like as if the girl styling me knew nothing.

Long story short bless everyone's heart at this location but I still left unsatisifed & felt my color was rushed after having the girl who did my color leave before I was done getting out of the hair dryer. I returned to this location twice and still was unsatisfied with what was done after paying $100 for a root color a lot of good stylist I seen doing hair but my advice to you if you go here make sure your sitting in someone's chair with high clientele and the appropriate credentials

Nikki is one of best stylist in Atlanta. Most days you can get in and out in a few hours. She cares about the health of your hair and your time.

I moved to Atlanta 3 years ago but before I left Maryland, I asked for recommendations for a new stylist. I was lead to Sherita and have been very happy ever since. The products Genesis Hair Art uses are quality and Sherita really cares for your hair and scalp.

I use to go to this salon when I lived in Atlanta. I decided to go a "celebrity" stylist in Atlanta and had an awful experience. Sherita saved my hair. She gave me an amazing conditioning treatment and stopped my hair from falling out. She is truly amazing with short hair. I will never go to another person in Atlanta besides her.
