HORRIBLE customer service! Is this place a scam? I had ClassPass scheduled for here and wasted taxi money plus walked in the cold only to find it was CLOSED. I called in advance too, no one picked up, I just assumed they were busy. They didn't even have the courtesy to give me a heads up they were closing early. Don't waste your time.

I highly recommend coming here for your lash lift needs and ask for Kasia! She did an excellent job with my lashes, was very careful and gentle. The whole process took less than an hour, but there was a lot of waiting involved in order for the perm to set in. I had great results and 4 weeks later still have some curl in my otherwise very straight and stubborn lashes.

I've been a frequent customer at Roque since I discovered it earlier this summer. It's always nice and clean. The staff is friendly and very professional. Kasha (I hope I'm spelling it right) is my go-to nail technician. She ALWAYS does an excellent job! I've never had someone this detail-oriented doing my nails & making sure everything looks perfect. I 100% recommend this place

I live in the building attached to the Kingsbury location. I bought a Kertin treatment on groupon. I called to make an appointment and it seemed there were NO keratin stylists at the Kingsbury location. Not too big of an issue, so I went to the Erie location and worked with Alex. He insisted on a brazilian blowout instead of the full Keratin treatment, so I trusted his opinion.

I left the treatment on my hair for 3 days before washing (this is supposed to make the product last longer. After washing my hair the FRIZZ returned automatically. I was leaving for Greece in a few days and was TERRIBLY disappointed by these results. The owner happily allowed me to schedule a follow up appointment with Alex. AGAIN, I was charged an ADDITIONAL $25 for product (the same amount i was charged the first time even after paying $100 for the groupon). AGAIN, the treatment did not work.

I think there wasn't enough product used. I'm beyond disappointed in both the customer service and product, and cannot recommend this place at all. I hate writing bad reviews, but i felt this was necessary because neither time did i have a positive result. After 2 washes with the brazilian products (as recommended), my hair is back to being frizzy. Again, save yourself the time and money.

I came back for a blow out with Alex and again really happy. He was on time, the shampoo was great and I couldn't be happier with how awesome my hair looks!

Zero stars! I do not recommend this place. They are rude! I booked my appointment and when I showed up it was closed nobody apologized I had to walk to the other location Horrible stuff they ruined my lashes The keratin lift worked in 1 eye only When I called (within a few days) for them to make it up for the bad services, they wanted to charged me instead of repairing their bad done service. I rather took my business to a good place No doubt why it's always empty Stay away from this place!

Went here for a manicure, the lady filed my cuticles and cut two of my fingers for which she quickly applied rubbing alcohol with a brush. The tools here are not properly sanitized, if I had known they use barbacide liquid to soak their tools in I would have ran. I'm now nervous about possible infections from this place. She did a terrible job cleaning and pushing back cuticles, instead blamed me for not pushing back my own cuticles on a daily basis.

The shellac nail polish is all bumpy. Overall the WORST manicure experience I've ever had here. I'm actually going to report this place to public health for the improperly sanitized tools used.

My appointment was booked at the Erie location. On the day before the appointment, I got a confirmation that was 15 minutes before. Weird. On the day of the appointment, I received a call to "remind me" that my location changed to Kingsbury and there was nothing that could be done about it. Of course, this was frustrating as I had to move my schedule around to accommodate both the time change and location change.

The eyelash extension appointment took more than 2 hours (even though the schedule was for 90 minutes). I believe the woman, Ivy, must have been new. I did not wash my face for 28 hours after the eyelash extensions. Two days later, my lashes look a mess. One eye shows no lashes on the outer corner and inner corner of the eye - only lashes in the middle.

The other eye shows a lot of sparse sections - at least 3 big gaps. Eyelashes are supposed to last more than 2 weeks - I know this because I used to come to Lashe Spot and never had an issue. Now, I am stuck with very assymetrical and strange looking eyelashes for the two weddings I have coming up in the next 2 weeks. I do not believe this is the quality that the Lash Spot should provide. They were also entirely unresponsive to me when I reached out about the same. Don't go here- your time and money is better spent elsewhere.

Theresa is the best! Amazing haircut every time I leave the salon and I always get so many compliments on my hair. I have been going to her for years and truly believe she is the best hair stylist in Chicago. She even gives me tips for styling my own hair. I highly recommend her!

I got a no chip here about a week and a half ago for formal and did not have a good experience. The woman was rude because I was 3 minutes late even though I had called and told them i would be. I had originally purchased a groupon for this salon and the woman still charged me an extra $20 on top of the $10 i should not have tipped her. She didn't cure my toes and when i asked about it she said that they didn't need to be. For all the ladies who get no chips, you know they need to be cured. That being said, my toes began to chip within 3 days and my nails in 5. $70 awfully spent.

Roz is superb in precision cutting. I found out about Roz 10 years ago by asking someone on the street who cut her hair as it was so precise. Since then, Roz has been my stylist.

I always feel a bit snotty when I get a less-than-great result from a Groupon business and then say, "Well, it's Groupon, what did I expect?" Unfortunately, this was the case here. The actual nail salon is in the basement, so off my friend and I went! The salon downstairs is a bit odd - just one person working, a muted purple color scheme, no windows, no music.

Our nail technician thus had to work on one of us at a time while the other just sat and watched. She was not super friendly - she scolded us when we removed our hands from the dryer too quickly, though she said she was kidding? She kept mentioning how we were her last clients and she couldn't wait to get home. It's been five days, and my nails have started to chip. This is a bit too soon for a no-chip manicure. My friend wasn't so lucky; it only took three days for her!

My experience at Roque Salon was so bad it's actually laughable. Here is my story: I decided to come here for a blowout as I had a photoshoot and wanted my hair to look nice. I got my blowout done by Theresa Tufte, who was just so bad I lost ~70 pieces of hair. Blowouts are usually a very relaxing and fun experience, but for some reason I had a very painful experience, as Therese kept getting the brush stuck in my hair.

I kept saying "ow" to give her verbal cues, but she didn't seem to be aware of how hard she was tugging on my hair. At one point, when she got a brush stuck in my hair, she tried to pull it out and she ripped out a lot of my hair. I had to tell her that she needed to change brushes because the round brush she was using was a low-quality brush which is why the hair didn't go through smoothly. Theresa also seemed to be in a huge rush because she had another client waiting, so the experience was made even more painful as she was trying to work quickly.

I think there are a few things she could have done differently: 1) used higher quality brushes from the start instead of cheap round brushes 2) brushed my hair before she rinsed it, or even before she started to blow dry it. When there are tangles, it is harder to get it out as you blow dry, and then trying to get it out damages the ends. When my blowout was finished, she whispered something to the lady who was checking me out.

There was a large discrepancy between the price I was quoted on the phone and the price the front desk lady tried to charge me. On the phone (and on their website), a blowout is quoted for $40. She tried to charge me $90 and seemed confused when I told her it was $40. I also had a $15 offer, so my total was supposed to be $25. She said okay, she'll charge me for the quoted price.

When I looked at my credit card statement today, I see that the amount they charged me was for $50. I think they were thinking that I wouldn't notice? This type of financial activity is illegal. As for my photoshoot, my hair went flat within 2 hours. Anyway, I think a photo/video is worth a thousand words, so please find my video of my painful, hair-pulling experience posted onto this page as well.

Visiting from Dallas my daughter and I made appointments for blow outs with Alex. He was amazing! We both left with incredible blow outs! I booked through Groupon and could not be happier with our experience! I will definitely be back to see Alex on my next visit to Chicago! Thank you, Alex, for a great blowout!

Claudia is AMAZING for lashes! There are those who dabble in eyelash extensions, perhaps trying them once for a special occasion, like a big vacation or wedding, and then there are those for whom extension fills are commonplace, such as a standing manicure or blowout appointment. That is ME! I haven't used mascara in ages and use minimal makeup so I am ready to go as soon as wake up : I get daily compliments on them and am always asked where I go.now you know!

Woah, I couldn't even get through the doors of this place to have a bad experience. When I called to ask a question about my appointments (hair cut and lashes), I talked with a rude employee who got mad when I asked him about the prices of the services (that I had already booked). They seem to have some discrepancies between their promotional rates and what I would be actually charged.

So I asked to cancel my hair appointment and the guy hung up on me. I called back, and he had such an attitude with me that I canceled both my appointments. He is literally loosing them clients.

Get my eye lashes done here, and April is the best! She's super precise, very quick and super nice. Highly highly recommend. They always honor Groupons too, so I'd recommend getting a Groupon first. Remember cash for tips!

DO NOT GO HERE. I got the Brazilian Blowout a few weeks ago and whatever they did or put on me caused serious Dandruff. I had to go to the derm to get a prescription to help alleviate it. I have gotten the Keratin (a similar treatment) done at other salons without this problem. More than anything, the price they quoted me on the phone increased by $75 dollars in store. They tried to rip me off.

For the Lashe spot: The first time I visited this location (with a Groupon for feather lashes), April did a top notch job. My lashes looked/felt great and really lasted. 5/5 for April. Unfortunately, when I went back for my relash, I had to deal with Lupe. She was rude, and dismissive when I asked why the price of my service was $30 more than what I was initially quoted. On top of that, the service was far below excellent. My lashes look clumpy and are falling out after 2 hours. Would not recommend.

Eva is one of the rudest people I have ever met. I came here after getting a groupon for a no-chip manicure and after 3 days, 2 of my nails chipped. I made an appointment to go get it repaired and was even willing to pay for it. Eva was the one who was doing my repair. she first started whispering things about me to a coworker and I can clearly hear and tell she was talking about me.

She then asked me why i am here for a repair and told me that she has never seen chipping after 3 days. she pretty much was acting as if i just committed a crime and was interrogating me on how I got them chipped. The entire time when she was fixing them she was mumbling things under her breath and never dropped the accusations. At one point i seriously thought i was on candid camera because i couldn't fathom her behavior and how the other girls that worked there just sat there and did nothing about it.

I then told the front desk girl that I wanted the manager to call me so I can speak to her about this, and I never heard back. it's been almost 3 weeks now. FYI. Even though my nails chipped, i was still going to come back to the salon because I liked the girl who did my nails the first time and the front desk people, but after my experience with getting them repaired with Eva, I will not be returning. A salon that is willing to hire someone who is that mean to their customer, doesn't deserve my business. Oh and the repair was AWFUL!

Quality of the service doesn't even deserve one star. I got my lashes done two weeks ago, before my big trip to Europe for my best friends wedding. I paid $110 for my lashes only to realize I got synthetic lashes, with glue you could visibly see which lead to them falling off within days of my trip- as I was brushing them each morning to make sure they were going in the same direction.

I was told the price was going to be "around $80" - so you could imagine my surprise when I was charged $110 without tip- what puts the icing on the cake is that it took over 90minutes for lashes that looked like I could have put on from Ulta. Word for the wise- DO NOT go to Lashe Spot.

I went to get a cut and showed the stylist a picture of the exact style I wanted. However, she decided to add whatever she wanted and ended up making my hair look awful, with uneven layers and hair extending to like 10 different lengths. Would give a -1 star if it was possible.

I wasn't blessed with long voluminous eyelashes, so when I saw a Groupon for the Lashe Spot I was intrigued. The first time I went was in August 2013 to get lashes done for my Bday. I purchased the $75.00 Groupon for the feather lash. There are four locations to choose from and I chose the River North /Erie Street location. I was easily able to make an appointment.

The salon offers other services and from what I can tell in the waiting area its kept tidy and the front desk receptionists are very friendly. They have a cute dog that reminds me of the taco bell dog that runs around the place as well My eyelash technician was Lily. She did a really good job explaining the process, which would take about an hour and 15 minutes.

Each lash is applied one at a time. She was very helpful in picking out the length that would go with my eye shape. I have rather large eyes so she chose longer lashes for me. The process is done in the basement. The chairs are comfortable and it's a good selection of music. Most of the time I either just slept or conversed with Lily. She has such a big heart and always listens to the drama in my life. LOL.

Be forewarned though this is an expensive habit to get into. Lashes last for two weeks and refills are $50.00. If you get the Mascara look, which is even more expensive the refills are $75.00, but last 3 weeks. Compared to other lash places the services are reasonably price and I have never had to pay full price because I always just purchase the groupon, which since August 2013 there always still out there and easy to find.

I get compliments all the time on my lashes and how long they are. People could not tell they were fake, so it remained my little secret. : I enjoyed my service and Lily has a loyal fan of her work. I'm going to take a little break to save up again, so hopefully I can rock the lashes for a few months this summer. Please see my tips and before and after pic.
