Services
Once the matched hairpiece is mounted by glue, the piece needs to be removed and set once every 2 weeks. Once removed, the hairpiece is conditioned to remove tangles and cleaned. The hair is then reset and styled to match your natural hairstyle. Due to the high maintenance required and natural wear-and-tear, the hairpiece lasts an average of 6 months.
The Japanese Straight perms uses new products and special irons to straighten your curly, wavy, frizzy hair. For the best results, the new technology and techniques require an experienced professional. This process is known as Thermal Reconditioning. *****BE AWARE OF THIS UNPROFESSIONAL SCHOOL**** This is a disgrace of a school. Mimi and Victoria are so unprofessional it's concerning how they re still in business. They treat people with no respect as if they are in an anarchy. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. The stress that they provide is not worth it. They will belittle you until you break or until you breach your contract.
When applying to this school they will say anything even give you the moon and stars, and once you start and they don't like the way you look they will torment you until you leave. And in top of that make it very difficult for you to receive transfer credits to a more professional school / environment.

I'm a current student of Straight Perm Beauty School. I absolutely love this place. When I signed up I was very doubtful about even making this expense but Mrs. Mimi helped me understand how it will be a great investment for my future. Ms. Victoria has many many years of experience in cosmetology she is always giving us great advice and techniques.
She's great! Mr. Mike is the coolest teacher with so much knowledge and patience with each and every student. Last and absolutely not least my lovely Teacher Mrs. Urban she is the best. She will go out of her way to teach each student until we learn and understand each lesson but she always finds a way to make each lesson so much fun. I will forever be so Thankful to all my teachers from Straight Perm Beauty school.

WORST BEAUTY SCHOOL EVER! Don't waste your time and money. I'm surprised that they're still in business. I called last Saturday and they said I could come in for a root touch-up. It took me 40 minutes to get there. When I walked in, I was told that they don't have any students at the moment. They didn't even apologize for wasting my time. I decided to come back today and give them another chance.
The Asian lady with short hair was super rude and bossy. I told them that I wanted to go with a light brown color but she insisted on doing dark blonde instead. She started arguing with me and was also mean to the student who was just trying to help me. I felt so uncomfortable that I left. I will never be back and I'll make sure to tell everyone about my horrible experience. Stay away from this place!

Best experience at a salon ever and I've never Even been to one lol. But the hairdressers that worked on me were just beautiful and comforting I felt like I was loved and they don't even know me. I am half Asian and felt at home seeing how well they take care of their clients was amazing. I'm not getting paid to say this it's my own opinion. I don't know why this salon has some low scores it's just 5 star my hair came out lovely Please check out this salon!

***POTENTIAL STUDENTS BEWARE OF MIMI THE ADMINISTRATOR**** My wife was a student at this school for about 120 hours and she had a horrifying experience with the administrative staff. First, they sold her copies of books, which we later found out, was given to them by a student that went to another beauty school that happened to close down. They charged her $150 for two copies of books, one of which was not even used with the curriculum.
When she asked if she could return the book that was not being used they would not allow her to until several attempts at getting an explanation as to why they would sell her a book that wasn't even being used. They finally agreed but told her she needed to pay $70 to use the so called book that was a bunch of copies placed inside a binder because she wrote her name on the first page inside the binder.
When she told them she would make a copy of it and replace they simply said no and forced her to sign a paper saying she would pay the $70. The worst part of the situation is that it took over 3 days and the staff dragging her out of class multiple times to resolve such a simple issue. Now we are forced to change schools and past students have told us that it took ridiculously long to receive their credits from this school for the transfer.
One student went so far as threatening to suing Straight Perm Beauty School for their lack of integrity. There are many schools in the Los Angeles area that provide students with a stress free environment for learning and growth and I highly recommend staying away from this place. Other schools worth mentioning are Los Angeles Beauty College, Palace Beauty School and even LA Trade Tech which has no tuition fee at all. Save yourself from having a repeat of our horrifying experience and stay away from these thieves.

Victoria the owner who I had spoke for about a month asking questions about the straight perm and if she had experienced with African American hair and she said she was an expert and that when I came in she do my hair and she did the opposite when I got there and focused on a woman who came in after me instead spent the entire doing her hair! As a result she over processed my hair and now it falling out every day. I've gone back to her and she did the same thing and let student do my hair who has very little experience! Shame on you Victoria you lied about your experience!
