What a great place for a men's haircut, especially from Breonna! A great atmosphere. Unlike the old barber shops or Gucci-new places that charges extra to trim the back of the neck. Everyone at Visual Effects is friendly. I recommend them 100%!

So I have been going to this stylist who has a station at visual affects for several years. She is very good at her job. I was shocked when I went to make an appointment and she told me in a nice way to go find a different stylist. Unsure of the reason, she won't say. The only bad interaction we have had has been that my daughter did not like a hair coloring she did.

Neither here nor there, that had nothing to do with me. I'm a nurse who doesn't get a lot of time off and I hadn't been able to get in for months. I finally get a break and she tells me go find someone else, no notice. In my opinion not very professional behavior.

Critical: Professionalism I have called three times to make an appointment and had to leave a voicemail and someone would get back to me. At this time no one has responded back to me. I guess my business as a new customer is not wanted. I will find someone else to do my hair even though you were highly recommended by a friend

This is a fantastic salon! Katie Rodriguez has been doing my sister's, mom's and my hair for years now. She is basically like family now. She is always does such a great job listening to what you want, is very kind and non-judgmental, and affordable. Not only does Katie do a great job at this salon but every hair stylist here is excellent. Highly recommend!

Jill Tovar did my hair twice. The first time originally I thought looked nice, but under differently lighting, I could see that it wasn't what I wanted and had much more red shining through. The technique was horrific and I had huge dark spots and looked awful. I had spent a lot of money and I wasn't happy. I tried to contact Jill and she ignored me and even blocked me on Instagram.

Then finally the manager of the company contacted me and was able to get me another appointment and Jill fixed the problems. However she was rude and curt the entire time and blames me. THEN. a few days later she asked me to edit the Google review so I did. Now its been 3 years and it's bugged me that I didn't express the reality so I am now sharing the truth.

Just wanted to say how grateful I am for my hair stylist, Angelique! She has been so wonderful in reaching out and getting me into her busy schedule the minute the restrictions are lifted and it's safe again. The best thing is how natural she colors my hair. Even during this lockdown as it's growing out, it's blending very nicely. Can't wait to see her soon though.

Amazing and talented hair stylists. I've never had such amazing high lights. If booking online double check your confirmation as it doesn't always match up with what time the stylist has. Confirm with them if there are any questions on time.

Katie Rodriguez is fantastic and the salon vibe is positive. I will definitely be back!

I paid $215 for Microblading with Sandy Kaufman at Visual Effects and Spa. She cancelled my appointment at the last minute last month. Since then she has been ducking my calls as I have tried to reschedule. Now she claims that she no longer provides that service. She refuses to refund my money. This is outright FRAUD!

This is a great place to get a men's hair cut. You walk in and you are greeted by a friendly smile and wait on a comfortable couch. Breonna Morris is the one I have gotten my haircuts from for over 3 years and I've never been disappointed. When it comes to my haircut I worry if someone would be able to fade and cut my hair to my standards. Her standards are higher. Highly recommend her!

Rachelle Moore is excellent at permanent make-up. Or so I think. I have seen her images and it appears she has vast experience and a very precise hand in applying the pigment. However, she fired me as a client before I had the micro-needling procedure I waited weeks to have. My nightgown caught on fire when I was 5 years old. All my life I've been ashamed to wear shorts since I have burn scars on my upper legs.

I was so excited to have their appearance reduced! I had a date with my boyfriend after the procedure so I texted Rachelle to ask if I could have sex or if the area would be too sore. She responded it would be open wounds but not oozy & messy. I joked that I guess I could just wear pantyhose to protect the skin. I actually thought that was a good idea.

Her response shocked me. She said "I'm going to cancel your appointment for Friday. I think it would be best for you to find another salon. I was really bothered by your texts yesterday." I called her immediately of course and left a voicemail apologizing for offending her (although I couldn't imagine what I had said that would be offensive).

I also texted the same and explained why I was being so cautious (an infection on a similar procedure in the past) and wanting more info. on a procedure I'd never had. She didn't respond until I sent another text. Then she insisted that she did not wish to work with me. I shared the text exchange with a friend and she found nothing offensive. We're grown-ups.

Sex sometimes comes up in medi-spa type procedures. I said nothing inappropriate or graphic. Either Rachelle should move to Amish country where they don't even say the word sex or perhaps she actually canceled the appointment to make room for one of her regulars since she knows I'm moving away and won't be a regular. Professional? I think not! Deeply Disappointed. p.s. I have screenshots of the entire text conversation I'd be happy to share for the skeptical.

Love love love visual effects. I go there for all my services. Hair (cut and color), permanent make up, laser hair removal, nails, spray tan, massages, and even treatments on my stretch marks! I see Rachelle Moore and Katie Rodriguez for most of my services and would recommend them to anyone. BUT on occasion I have seen other ladies and have never been disappointed! It's also a great place to purchase a gift card since they offer so many services!

This was my first appointment at Visual Effect Salon and Spa. I had a massage with Deanne. She did a fantastic job and I am looking forward to another one soon! The Salon is very clean, has upscale decor and the overall ambiance is delightful. I was impressed with the wide variety of services that they have to offer which include hair, nail, spa, teeth whitening, laser treatments, micro-needling, and permanent makeup.

The owner, Rachelle Moore, is excellent in micro-needling and permanent make up. She offers a course in Permanent Cosmetic Training and Certification. The product line is phenomenal.

Rachelle and the Visual Effects Salon and Spa team are amazing at what they do! This salon offers more than 200 services for my beauty needs. From getting my hair and nails done to getting microneedling. permanent make-up and teeth whitened, this is a great salon and spa. Plus you can get any kind of coffee you want at their coffee bar.

I absolutely love this salon. The staff is always friendly and knows me by name every time I walk in. I've gone to multiple women there depending on the service and always feel great about what I got done when I walk out. I also love the fact it's a full service salon and spa so I can go to one place and get pretty much anything I want done from microneedling, Botox, massage, hair, nails, etc. I Highly recommend Deann for massage, Monika for hair, Rachel for eyelash extensions, and Rachelle for microneedling.

I've been seeing Kasey Hight (and Rachel Law when she isn't available) at Visual Effects for years and I love this place. The owner did my eyeliner tattoo after I had it done at So Posh and she messed it up. There is a coffee bar and a little stand of jewelry and scarves for sale up front and a lot of different stations for various independent contractors for hair, nails, etc. Everyone there has always been very kind and friendly!

My mother purchased over $1,200 worth of laser hair treatments as a gift for me. After the first three treatments, the laser left unsightly burns on my bikini area. This was back in 2012, and I still have marks due to the misuse of the laser. Lori, one of the top estheticians, assured me that she would make it right and that the hair would reduce quite a bit after she used "a new laser".

After over 20 hair treatments, the hair has continued to come back with no change and I am left with the marks, as well as being $1,200 poorer. I would not recommend this salon for hair removal to anyone.

This salon is great! Everyone is extremely friendly, they have a full coffee bar and are constantly checking in to see if you need anything. I got highlights and lowlights and they turned out great! They make it easy to schedule an appointment too w/ their website! I'd highly recommend going here.

I purchased a groupon as a present for my girlfriend and they have ignored multiple requests for an appointment to get the massage done. I have contacted Groupon and they said they will only refund once the service has been completed. Well how am I supposed to get the service done if they are refusing to schedule it?! Now I get to go through the process of filing a claim with my bank to get the money back. Why offer a groupon if you aren't able to handle the volume of business it brings? Terrible customer service!
