The worst experience ever! I had called for an appt. Not told that my appt was for one hour. This was my first time so I needed someone who had patience and could help me. If i was told on the phone while I made the appointment that it was for just an hour I would never have wasted my time going there. From the moment I walked in I had horrible experience.

I was a few minutes late which I apologized for as I ran into the shop because I got lost. it was 5 minutes. Without being introduced the sales associate said once I apologized that it was taken off my hour which is at that point when I was notified I had an hour appt? Still this lady didn't introduce herself. I then said I'm here to see Linda.

This is when I found out she was Linda. Really? Not professional from the start. She did not act interested what so ever in talking about my style which showed from the wigs she picked For me. She obviously was not a good listener which is an important factor in my book. i wanted to show her a couple pictures but again she said we didn't have time.

The worst part is she looked like she didn't know how to put a wig on since hers was not on correctly. This sales associate had a very bad cold and cough. I should have walked out. The bottom line here is that both girls in this shop couldn't be bothered. if I didn't know better I would have thought they hated their job. One might have been the owner which would explain why Linda was so miserable.

The bad news is I wasted an hour plus traveling time from Star but found the only other wig shop in Boise that welcomed me with open arms and were over the top knowledgeable and super friendly. I walked out purchasing 3 fabulous wigs and products $1200 later and the best experience I could have ask for. Had to share.

Kelly always does such a wonderful job in helping me find what I need and making sure it is perfect before I leave. I'm very thankful for this shop.

Over the years I bought several wigs and went to this Botique for help. Starting in 2009. I was hoping the staff could help me. With all the wigs I bought only two were really to my liking. I spent over $3,000. In 2021 after an appointment with Kelly, I began to feel I have been being taken advantage of. First off, why do they cut the wig tag off?

That should be up to the customer to do if you want. In 2018 I had Kelly do a bait and switch. She got an idea of a long style and color I wanted, but they didn't have anything in stock. She said to come back in a few days. So I did. Low and behold, I walked in and there on display was a color and style I had asked her about. She proceeded to sell me the wig and of course the tag was cut off.

Then once worn out, the beautiful curls went straight. It no longer looked like when I bought it. Washing it didn't bring back curls, I was completely straight. The policy is NO RETURNS. So I asked about it and found she had styled it. And they strongly want you to bring them in for restyle at a cost! That was a dishonest sale in 2018 That was when I began doubting them.

It was all to make a sale. $375 worth out of my pocket for a wig that had been manipulated and styled. In 2021 I was looking into trying a topper with a lace front. There was trouble with that. Kelly sold me the one on display. She said it was new. After inspecting it closer at home, I found that the wig had been cut on. I felt like I had been sold a used wig at the new box price. Again, the tag had been cut off.

I called and made a complaint. The owner gave me a one time allowance to return it and she ordered a brand new wig, in the box, tag attached. While that was good, I still feel very taken advantage of in the past. So I began looking at wigs online, which I had been schooled not to do, usually a bad deal online. Well I'm here to tell you, that is false!

I have purchased a very nice wig on Amazon by Raquel Welsh called Downtime, Praline Foil. It's beautiful, and only $175. At Kathy's Wig Botique, Kelly wanted $435. From Amazon it is also returnable. But I loved it so much it's a keeper. I have also purchased several lace front wigs off Amazon for under $50 each, all returnable if you don't like them.

Don't let them scare you or manipulate you into their over priced wigs. Several YouTube videos that give full instructions and information on wig care and alterations you can do yourself. I wish all love and light.

I would give the ladies at Kathy's Wig Boutique more than 5 stars if I could. In fact, I would give them all of the stars in the sky because that's what they deserve! When I first came to Kathy's Wig several years ago, I was embarrassed by my thinning hair. Kelly came to the rescue with her kindness, professionalism, and humor. She found me the perfect wig then, and she has never let me down since then. Thank you Kelly, and thank you Kathy's Wigs. You ladies rock!

Honestly, this was the last place I wanted to visit, but I am so glad I chose to come here! I came in sad and frustrated and left feeling light hearted and beautiful. The owner was super kind and helpful. She was encouraging, sweet and informative! She gave me tons of personal attention and helped me make some really important choices while including my husband and daughter in the process! I can't wait to go back for another style!

I had a fantastic experience at Kathy's Wigs at a difficult time in my life. Tina was compassionate and very knowledgeable. She let me try on wigs and helped me make a decision. The wig looked so natural on me, even close friends didn't realize it was a wig. It was comfortable and made me feel confident. I would recommend Kathy's Wig Boutique, definitely!

I've been going here for years. During this covid situation, I did not find it unreasonable to make an appointment. I actually think it's a great idea. Social distancing being what it is. I was able to get an appointment the same day I called. I'm reading these reviews and find them very hard to comprehend, as I was greeted, quickly, by two gals. Both gals were quite friendly.

I'm sorry only the people that don't get treated like royally have to post the terrible reviews. I was actually in the store with a rude customer at the time. Upset because the website didn't say appointment needed. She drove from far away and wasted her time and wouldn't be back. The gal tried to explain they have no control over the website. Wow.

That was my first, in person, encounter with what people are calling a Karen. I called in advance, knowing that business is not as usual. I wish people would try to be less selfish, especially during these times. I don't expect anyone to bend over backwards to help me. I just want help. Maybe I'm just a simple person with simple needs. I did feel my needs were met and I'm thankful for this shop and the service I received. Many blessings

Terrible customer service. Went in to purchase a wig. The sales lady was not helpful at all. Stated the color I wanted didn't exist. Even though I currently wear the color I was requesting. I was unable to try on anything. If the business is by appointment only it should clearly be stated up front. I will not be going back. I'll purchase from Amazon or any other professional wig shop online.

For years this has been my "go to" for wigs and hair toppers. The last few times I went in, were not the greatest. The last wig I bought there was only because I went in knowing I needed a new piece. The woman there was of no help, didn't offer to let me try anything on (as is their normal routine) and discouraged me from looking at the pieces I was interested in.

The last two times I went in for wig repair, were drastically different in price. The last time was 3 times the price the previous time was. I was not treated like they wanted my business. I'm currently looking for a new wig shop for my needs.

Drove all the way from Star because website does not say appointment only. Nobody in store except employee but still couldn't try on wigs. She offered to make appt for another day. I asked her ask the owner to change website to appointment only. Said she can't because owner is out of commission for 30 days. Won't be back

My mother has been buying wigs at this store for 9 years. Yesterday we walked into the store and wasn't really acknowledged by the sales person. My mother is now end stage dementia and needed help looking and finding a new wig. When I went to take a wig down off the mannequin, Kelly, the salesperson repreminded me for touching the wig. I told her she hadn't offered us any help, we didn't feel welcome in the store and that she came across with an attitude.

She lightened up a little. She definitely didn't go out of her way for us. We bought a wig but will be looking for another place in the future. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service.

Great place for wigs off the shelf. Mostly high quality synthetic hair, but a huge array of styles and colors. I wanted something in human hair, and it had to be special ordered. But it came in within a few days and I love it! Really fantastic place for fashion wigs as well as for those who suffer hair loss.

After several visits, I can't say enough about how great this shop is and the ladies who work there. I ment Kathy today and she's just a wonderful woman. If you need any kind of help with a wig, Kathy's is the place to go.

If you're looking for high quality wigs, great customer service, reasonable prices, and a very lovely setting to be treated with dignity and care--this is it! We were there today, and the selection of wigs is wonderful. If they don't have it, they'll order it for you. They do custom fittings, and they allow 1.5 hours for a consultation--no rush, no "will you please hurry up and choose so I can get onto the next customer." The whole experience was customer centered, calm, welcoming, dignified, and enjoyable.

The prices are very reasonable, considering what you're buying. And, the wigs are very real-looking with a variety of styles. So, if you're in a need for a wig and you don't want to look like you bought yours from one of those mall vendors--this is the place to go. Great experience.
