Hair Professional Academy

Never go here for services or for school. I had an appointment for a haircut at this school and when I arrived at the main entrance of the building I overheard a student (grown woman) stating disturbing threats towards another student. I was absolutely disgusted about the things she was saying and I wanted to make the school aware of what was said, but they refused to see me and refused servicing me.

And the fact that they said there was no place for me to complain shows how unprofessional this school is and I hope everyone comes to the realization that this school only cares about money and not the well-being or education of their students. They honestly accept any type of person to attend this school, clearly they don't do background checks (the grown woman stating threats against another student already had felony charges against her).

I contacted the higher ups to do something about it and I got NO response. Do not come here, save yourself a trip. If I could rate this school negatively I would, one star is beyond generous.

The way this school allows their students to treat their clients is so upsetting. My aunt went to go get her hair done at this school, she's been going here for years and they way they treated her makes me sick. One of the stylist there wasn't doing her hair the way she liked and she asked for a new stylist, next thing you know, a girl who goes there just starts yelling at her, calling her names and using profanity just because she asked for a new stylist.

She went again a few weeks later just to find out that the student was never reprimanded and was probably protected by a teacher that she's friends with. So unprofessional and upsetting, will never be going back.

If I could give this school 0 stars, I would. If you are considering going here, don't. If it's not a good fit for you and you already signed the contract, you're stuck and you can't even transfer locations. All the higher ups in this school only care about the money and not the well being of their students. And there's always new teachers, secretaries, etc, because of the fact that this school is horrible and no one wants to stay.

When I graduated, it took them over a month to get me my transcript and diploma Because they couldn't keep a secretary, there were 3 different ones before I got my paperwork. And when I did get it, the date on my diploma was wrong and took another 2 weeks to get it to me. There are many more problems, these were just the few at the top of my head.

This is the worst school I have ever seen. The fact that they care more about the money they are making over the safety of their student is absolutely revolting. The new manager at this school, who used to be a student teacher shows so much favoritism and is a liar. She is also a bully, she would bully 3 girls in my class with the other students, and she fraternizes with them which is against their policy.

And they make you believe that you can complain and they will help, but they don't. If I could go back in time and choose a different school, I would because this school is one that made me question my passion. HORRIBLE SCHOOL

If negative stars was an option, I would leave that. This has to have been the worst experience I have ever had on a professional level of any kind. I was here for 3 weeks and they accepted my transcripts to start classes as well as my enrollment fee AND my first 2 tuition payments before telling me that My transcripts were not enough for financial aid.

They dropped me without any notification and sent me a bill in the mail for $7000. They lie and lie and lie. No one can ever give a straight answer and it's always "we have to call you back". 6 months later, I'm finally getting the ball back rolling to try and transfer my hours to a better school and they're now giving me a hard time to get those and saying that I dropped out when they dropped me. Save yourself some time, money and stress by finding a better school!

I would not even give this place one star if possible. I signed on to attend the esthetician program back in December 2021 for me to start Feb 2022. I attended my first class and let me tell you what a disaster it was. None of the staff members were professional or friendly. We "learned" how to do a basic facial on a mannequin to a video with no sound.

The "instructor" was not interested in leading the class nor teaching us anything. Instead, the "instructor" spent 3 of the 4 hour class time gossiping with a more senior student about all of the drama going on in the school. No student seemed happy to be a student there. The first class was completely unprofessional and unorganized. I did not feel confident that I would receive a quality education from this school so, I withdrew from the program the very next day.

The Enrollment Agreement they have you sign is the most unconscionable thing I have ever encountered in my life. They give you 3 days after signing to back out with no penalty, after that, they keep 20% of your tuition. Now, keep in mind, I signed the Enrollment Agreement back in December but, my classes did not begin until February so, I was obviously well past the 3 day window.

This school has ROBBED me of $2,500 after attending only ONE class. If you are wanting to go to school to get your esthetician license, please accept this as a WARNING. This school should not even be an accredited institution. The school will not return any of my emails or phone calls, they basically have robbed me and now have ghosted me. This school needs to be investigated as I know they are not offering a quality education.

Critical: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, Value I went to the school before and during the pandemic. It's incredibly unorganized incredibly disgusting and the people there are awful and the energy is awful do not go here they will steal your money. It is just a laundering scheme

I currently go to this school, CHICAGO campus. the perfect words to describe this establishment is "UNORGANIZED" "UNPROFESSIONAL" and "NEGLECTED" there isn't ever a set schedule, teachers are teaching multiple classes at once in a day, at least three teachers quit in the beginning/middle of school year without notice. students hardly show up to keep rotation in order for clients.

School supposedly starts at 9 am, but teachers don't teach until 9:30 or 10 am. some employees are extremely rude and disrespectful. People making up hours decide to jump into other people's class' and interrupt by talking through educational videos, insulting the original students of the class. overall there's no respect for students at this school, in turn there's no respect for some of the employees here.

It's a freak show and I honestly cannot wait until I'm done attending this school. I have perfect attendance, good grades, yet I'm missing a lot of valuable information, was never given a proper senior orientation. List goes on and on.

Got a haircut and blowdry from this place and they did not disappoint! despite being a student, my stylist was very knowledgeable and professional. my hair feels incredibly healthy and looks absolutely amazing. I am so impressed with the quality of the haircut for only $8.

I'm so disappointed by this place, usually I don't write comments, but unprofessional behavior of this place forced me to write one. We took confirm appointment 2 days back for pedicure, when I reached their there was no student to perform anything, not sure why they didn't inform or cancel it. Regardless I took facial from there as I drove so far, I asked for microdermabrasion, but they did simple one without any extraction etc, and charged me extra since they applied so called serum, without informing me that this is etc.

Seriously pathetic place, don't go and save ur money and time. I usually go to Universal Spa academy, from last 5 yrs and they are so professional and actually treat you like a proper customer, don't know why I even thought of trying this place.

I am so disappointed with this school! My child attends it and I have heard nothing but complaints. When the school was closed during the paramedic, I sat and listen to my child's instructor READ STRAIGHT from a book and seemed liked she didn't even know what she was talking about. Teachers are showing up super late to teach their classes and/or not assigning any work or projects to the students. Please do not waste your money! You can learn more from watching Youtube videos!

Patrice did a fabulous job on my nails. She was very personable and polite.

G skin Beauty was Awesome I received a facial was so relaxing and refreshing my skin was glowing after I walked out of the school. My Technician Jenae Robinson was superb we laughed, it was such an awesome experience. I will be returning soon.

I had my Anti-Aging Microdermabrasion done by G Beauty (Melanie - one of the supervisor on Estetician). She's always when I come for my service, is there to give me great service taking care of me for the regular things I need when getting my facials done. Keep up the great work, Melanie! :)

I am a student here, please dont waste your money at best the majority of the staff are unprofessional at worst when there are no instructors to be found on the floor to do their job and instruct, someone could get hurt. I am hoping that corporate after I spoke to them will make changes from the top down but if not buyer and student be ware.

Critical: Professionalism I attended this school. I went on vacation so my hours stopped. I have called this school numerous times to start my hours back and no one has returned my phone calls. I paid for this out of pocket and now that you have my money I'm being ignored! This is very unprofessional and I will have to take legal action.

Hello my name is Kimberly federson and I have been trying to enroll in beauty school for so long but Everytime something would get in the way now I am 51 years old and I'm trying to go-to school I hope they see fit to start me in there school before something else pops up I'm having a hard time I won't to be in there July 14 the class

G skin and beauty institute is the best school for learning how to do hair how to treat skin and nails. The school has the best students and the best teachers.

Going to G Skin for the first time was amazing experience. The staff is wonderful and the vibe is relaxing. I had Jenna performing my first facial and she was amazing. She walked me step by step on what was on going on my face and as well as recommending products to use. If you ever go to G Skin I highly recommend Jenna, she the best at what she does. Thanks Jenna!

I was looking for a nail salon to try and figured why not give this a try. I know people that have gone to other beauty schools in Nevada that do good work and really learn from other schools so I made an appointment online from their "available appointments" I showed up 15 minutes early and was told to wait then at my appointment time they told me no one was there to do my nails so to wait 30 minutes.

So i let her know that was fine I'll just grab something to eat since I just got out of work. I come back 35 minutes later so 5:35 and they tell me to have a seat and wait. So 20 minutes pass by and the instructor tells me none of her class is there so I tell her I'll wait till 6. 6:05 and still nothing and then I get a text at 7:17pm that my 5pm appointment was cancelled. LOL what?

I hope that's not the time people decided to show up. If so that's not only negative towards clients it is also towards other students who want to really learn and get the most out of something they are paying for since they can't start because most of the people aren't there. Not sure what kind of program that is and if the students get proper customer service training because being a whole hour late and probably more if I would of stayed is not ok when dealing with clients and trying to build your clientele. I wasn't expecting a 5 star experience but this was super disappointing.

I was so looking forward to going to G Beauty School for first service. I was going to have a skin treatment. My appointment 1pm. I sat there for over an hour. The front desk people are very nice, but they don't seem to talk to the instructors or the students. The service I made an appointment for was not the service they set up for. The students are unfriendly and understandably unknowledgeable.

The instructor that I spoke to was confused about the treatment, I had to show it to her on the website, and she said the service I saw on the website, that I booked an appointment for, was wrong (doesn't exist). I had to go back up to the front desk and choose another treatment. Then the lady at the front desk went for a break and I sat there another 30 minutes.

The students don't seem to like the clients, as I was sitting waiting I saw three students laugh at a client after they walked by. The atmosphere inside was similar to a salon. The atmosphere outside was quite different as students were screaming and cursing and throwing things at each other. It was more like a public middle school parking lot.

Maybe they can figure a way to have their school, but no customers and no clinic. That would be best. Other area schools like Euphoria.com or PaulMitchel.com are much better, higher class atmosphere, and no cursing or throwing things.

The worst experience and very disorganized. I had my facial done and towels smelled very bad. The girl didn't do any extractions I requested and barely touched my skin while massaging. The hair part was even worse. The girl didn't wash the back of my hair and had no idea what she was doing. She put on me dirty cover up and it smelled like an old cigarette smoke.

She also had a body odor and her tools and products were falling on the floor while she was trying to blow dry my hair for an hour. I couldn't take it any longer and just left with unfinished hair. There were no instructions given and I have no idea what those girls are learning there and what I was charged $44 for. Do not go there and waste your time and money.

I got a great cut from G institute. The service was very professional and fast. Linde did an awesome job!

I arrived in the morning for a hair cut and waited about 40 minutes. Jesus cut my hair exactly as I described and did a wonderful job! The price and cut was worth the wait.

The oxygen facial I received was superb! Maria was wonderful! Clean, relaxing and very professional! Only reason for 4 stars was for the receptionist, I did not find her service to be so great. She turned customers away and did not try to find a solution to get them to come back in.

Worst customer service from front desk and guy manager. We arrived one hour and 15 minutes before closing. They said they have closed and stopped taking customers. I said their menu and website says they take last customers one hour before they close. They said they have to do sanitations 30 min. before they close so they can't take customers. Still, that's 45 min. left to do a simple scalp treatment for me and mani gel-fillings for my gf. Without apologizing, they said to come back next time. Wow, what a waste of time! They need to put this on their website so everyone would know.

I really cannot express how unprofessional and disappointing this place is. It is not how long it takes I understand that. The wounds the student inflicted with no instructors around was the worst. My feet were BLEEDING and the instructor looked at them and said good job. I was there almost 5 hours and saw no sanitization going on. The students made fun of clients. And the students EXPECT tips and are rude about it.

To start off, I am a student at G Skin. I can honestly say that I have never felt so comfortable and excited to go to school all the time. I go to evening classes and the teacher Miss Malory is AMAZING. She is an amazing teacher and has so many skills that she is willing to show you. She does hair and makeup and is all about fashion. Quote by her, "Isn't it awesome to make people beautiful?" She is a sweetheart and will never hesitate with helping me or answering the many questions I ask.

To add, I sometimes have Miss Angela, and she too is a sweetheart. This school is worth it, I feel welcomed. The way they teach you is awesome and how they are always there to help. If I could put more stars, I would. Also, the kit that you get isn't the same anymore, WAY better equipment!
