I came in with a mess my hair had orange tints from a perm it was so many different color and I hated it sharyl went into detail about hair and what she could and couldn't do to fix she took her time she didn't rush me in and out she was kind and knew how nervous I was this being first time I was ever get hair professional done I would recommend her and salon to anyone great team loved my time and I absolutely love my hair thank you thank you thank you sharyl

Excellent place, but they could use one or two handicapped parking spots out front, as well as a slope to the sidewalk, as many of the clients could benefit from that.

Very friendly staff. This was my first time going there and Beth (I hope I got her name right) took the time to make sure she got the cut right. I was pleased

I've never been disappointed with Salon 35. My daughter and I have been going there since 2019 and have gone to many different stylists. They all are great! Cheryl did my highlights last time and did a wonderful job! Services: Haircut, Highlights

Everyone is so friendly and nice and wonderful! I called and asked for someone who was good with styling and cutting curly hair. The receptionist was a delight to work and talk with! Then, she set me up with Megan and she was amazing! We talked a lot about how I wanted my hair and she really worked with me on getting it how I liked and made sure it didn't look dumb and that it looked feminine, which is what I asked for. She was wonderful to talk to and just made me feel less stressed about getting my hair cut. Thank you!

The stylist Olivia was very unprofessional and she would clean her hands and the equipment with the same towel. cut my hair unevenly and when I called to speak to someone in charge the lady was rude and didn't even offered to fix my hair or refund. I would give it 0 star if I could. This place charges very close to high end but deliver nothing. I would recommend going to a nicer salon pay a few dollar more and get a perfect result

I visited Donna on a referral from a coworker. If you are seeking major color changes, she will be honest with you if it will take more than one appt to get your hair color where you want it to be. My hair is very fine and couldn't be over processed in one visit. From a previous salon to Donna's chair, I'm happy with where Donna has taken my highlight coloring! If you want to change up the style, she listens to your input and will give you the new look you're hoping for.

I had hair and makeup done for myself and my wedding party on 9/30. It was wonderful! Many staff members came in early in the morning on their day off to make my wedding day special. Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. I was extremely satisfied with how our hair and makeup turned out and it looked great all day. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I've heard great things about this place so I decided to try it out. All I can wanted was a cut for shorter hair. But whoever cut my hair I don't think listened to me at all. My hair was about my lower back and I told her I wanted it cut below my shoulders right around my chest area. My hair is now very short way above my shoulders. I told her very little layers at the end, and now my hair is all different lengths. I specifically told her not to do the thing where it's shorter in the back and longer, in the front and that's exactly what she did. Will not be going back.

I was so nervous about seeing a new hair dresser, especially since my task was keeping my blonde strong and not damage my hair! Meagan did a great job at making my hair feel nice and smooth and she nailed the blonde look I was going after! Highly recommend Meagan!

The stylists at Salon 35 are AMAZING. We had hair and make up done by the staff at Salon 35. They traveled and set up at the Pine Knob Mansion. All 4 stylists were very talented and professional. It was a fun and relaxing afternoon. Naomi stayed with the bride until she was ready to walk down the isle. Wish I could give them more stars!

This review is specifically for the gem of a woman who takes wonderful care of my tresses at Salon 35, Meagan! Meagan and I became friends almost 5 years ago through a mutual friend, who was constantly telling me that I needed to go to her to get my hair done! I had only lived in the state for about a year and hadn't found my person yet. And I am VERY picky, and I'm a blonde.two things that can make finding a stylist a little tougher.

I decided to go see her, and the rest is history. We've become even closer friends through the years, and I cannot imagine having anyone else even touch my hair. I work in a retail job, and I'm not kidding when I say that I get multiple compliments on my hair color every week. She uses the products necessary to take my blonde to new heights, while also keeping it healthy and strong.

She is meticulous, takes her time with you, listens to what you want, and doesn't try to pressure you to try something new the way some stylists do. (I'm a creature of habit, and she's okay with that!) She is an expert at foils--I have literally combed through my hair after appointments and cannot find a single mistake or spot where it needs fixed. It's PERFECT every time.

She is truly an artist when it comes to placement, etc. She's very creative herself, and would totally be the person to help you take a risk in the color dept too! I'm convinced that she can handle it all. I can sit in her chair without anxiety, knowing that I'll absolutely LOVE my hair when she's done with it. All of this would be enough to keep me coming back, but on top of ALL of that she is a truly wonderful and kind person. It's always a JOY to see her smiling face, and she greets me with a warm hug every time (and I know it's not just because we're friends).

She is so sweet and the kind of person you just genuinely want to be around. She's also always doing training and learning more so that she can offer the best to her clients. She recently began doing lash extensions, and she does a fantastic job! I had them for my wedding and felt like such a gorgeous princess of a bride. Haha! I drive from Novi to see her every six weeks or so, and I would drive farther if I had to.

If she ever moves far away, she's gonna have to take me with her because I don't know what my hair would look like without her. :) Meagan, thank you for always making my day AND making me feel beautiful. You're so talented and just masterful in your craft! You're the best! (Attached a few photos so y'all could see how BLONDE she gets me!)

My first time visiting this salon. I went in for my first ombre, brown roots to light brown ends. I usually dye my hair twice a year and always go dark brown, so this was new to me. The girl that colored my hair had a vacation coming up in one or two days and had a lot on her mind. When she was done, there was a very distinct line between the two shades.

No gradual change from brown to light brown like an ombre is supposed to be. Very disappointed. I gave her the benefit of the doubt considering that her attention was obviously divided with the upcoming vacation. I went back to her a week later. She said she could fix it. This time I ended up with bleach blonde ends and brown roots, again with the very distinct line between the colors.

The ends were now brittle and hair was breaking off every time I touched it. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! My hair has always been soft and silky. Now it's dry and damaged. I ended up going somewhere else and getting a lot of my hair chopped off. Luckily, my new stylist new what she was doing and was able to fix it. I will never go back here! In response to management, This is definitely the correct salon.

This occurred about 4 years ago. I normally don't complain and I was going to let it go, but I saw your business when I signed on to Yelp, searching for a salon nearby, and I saw the girl that ruined my hair on your pictures. So I decided to write this. She also charged me to "fix" the initial coloring and ended up damaging it and I had to pay someone else to actually fix it. Not to mention having to walk around with my hair looking like that. I just wanted to get this off of my chest.

I had my wedding hair/makeup done here and was very pleased. The staff was friendly and brought in extra people to get our large group in/out faster. Both my hair and makeup held perfectly for the whole day even though I was provided with an emergency kit in case it didn't. Vicki did well at communicating with me to plan for the big day and with our trial run.

She did an awesome job at giving me exactly what I wanted! My bridesmaids were happy too! No concerns or complaints. I'd go to them again if I go do my wedding day over again!

I am growing out a pixie cut and very specifically told my stylist that I didn't want her to take any length off the top. She promptly cut those hairs. I was pretty disappointed. The salon atmosphere was nice, and the price wasn't bad. Honestly, the haircut was ok, but I had to get another one only about 4 weeks later because it was already looking like a mullet again because she cut the top hairs, too.

My teenage girls have been happy with all the stylists. They charge less for teens which helps! We can usually get an appointment quickly, too. Three thumbs up from our family!

Just moved to the area and scheduled an appointment with Vicki. She did an awesome job with my cut & color. Super friendly and easy to talk to. Love that I can schedule appointments online too

Vicki is amazing! My hair looks great weeks after my appointment. I will return just to see her!

They changed my stylist at the last second, which was okay since i had not had a preference, but still not pleasant. I told them many times I was in to have my hair cut to be donated, so we cut it into pony tails. The stylist was really nice and knowledgeable, and my hair looked really nice after. Why only 3 stars? Because what they failed to tell me about til after the hair cut was that there was a $10 upcharge for people with long, thick hair!

If you do your math you'll find that this is roughly a 30% mark up on the $35 I thought it was. I also had to up the tip to match 15%. Besides.whoever heard of an additional charge for long/thick hair?! Normally when you donate your hair (this isn't my first rodeo), the salon gives you a discount or cuts your hair for free. While I wasn't necessarily expecting a free hair cut, I wasn't expecting it to cost nearly that much.

They also failed to apply the student discount. I am an OU student and their website advertises a 10% discount to OU students. I remembered to mention that but it was never applied. It was a good hair cut and an enjoyable experience. However, I've had similar experiences for less money in the area.

I recently moved here from another state, sadly leaving my hair stylist of 10 years behind. As I wear my hair short it's all about the cut. My daughter suggested Yelp as a good source where I found Salon 35 and it had 4 1/2 stars so I anxiously gave them a call. Receptionist was warm, friendly and understood my apprehension. My stylist's name is Olivia.

She listened to me while running her fingers through my hair then did it her way, and it is one of the best cuts I've ever had. It's perfect, better than ever. Olivia has definitely my new stylist, already made my next appointment. I can't say enough about her and Salon 35.

I had just got my hair done yesterday at my normal place which I had been going to for years, and I always love the way she does it. However, this was the first time she had colored my hair.and it came out blonde! When it was all said and done, it didn't come out horrible.but I was less then pleased. So today I go to the salon down the street asking if they can fix the mess that was created, and to my surprise my new highlights turned out beautiful! The girl I had did a fabulous job, and I will definitely return in the future!

I had my hair and makeup done here for my cousin's wedding and Naomi & Vicki did an excellent job! I first had my makeup done with Vicki and was very pleased. I had her use shades of purple on my eyes to complement my maid of honor dress and she ended up making my eyes look dramatic but not overly so. And my makeup looked great in pictures! Naomi and another stylist starting off tending to my cousin's and another bridesmaid's hair.

But as other clients started to trickle in, Naomi ended up being the one to do most of our updos. Updos are her specialty and it was very obvious! I showed her a picture of what I wanted when it was my turn and I was very happy with the end result, based on how thick my hair is and how well it held up throughout the day (through the wedding, all the moving around, setting up for the reception, taking pictures, the hot and humid weather, and dancing all night long - from about 11AM until 2-3AM.) I would absolutely recommend these ladies for your wedding beauty prep!
