Critical: Quality, Value I just wanted to get a small trim and it was awful! My hair was so choppy I had to go to another salon over an hour away just to fix it. There were several chunks taken out of the back of my hair. I have straight, fine hair. Would NOT go back and do NOT recommend. Service: Haircut

I'm really surprised Luna Blu has mediocre reviews on yelp, so I'm here to leave a positive one. I am from Oxford and used to go here all the time. I recently returned for a nail appointment with my future SIL and had a great experience that proved to me they haven't gone downhill since I moved away. Natalie and Hillary did our nails and they were chatty, friendly, and our nails looked great. Hillary in particular was a laugh riot and both girls treated us like family and the appointment went by too quickly.

I also thought it was pretty affordable and loved the pedicure area with built in tubs. I am not sure what the other services are like at Luna Blu in 2021, but I highly recommend them for a nail appointment!

I have had a wonderful morning at Luna Blu! I can't believe I've been missing out on coming here for years. I got a wonderful gel manicure and a pedicure as well as a hair cut. I would absolutely recommend coming here to treat yourself. Very clean, professional and super sweet and friendly!

I loved the ambiance of this salon & my hairdresser was very nice and chatty! She gave me a haircut I really like and it wasn't that pricey. She also showed me some good products to buy and seemed to know exactly what she was talking about. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 stars is because the salon chairs were not 6ft away from each other so there was practically no social distancing between other clients and hairdressers.

Natalie is the best ive had do my nails. Everyone here is great, well trained and professional. I will not go anywhere else.

Overpriced. I got a mani pedi. The lady was nice but my nails were a weird shape with pointy parts that I had to file down when I got home so I didn't scratch someone, I didn't have my calves massaged I which is standard most places (it's extra here), it took almost 2 hours, and it cost $80 not including a tip!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I went in, and the staff wan't very welcoming, there was no place to sit and wait for my appointment, so I stood there awkwardly for 20 minutes since my hairdresser was behind schedule. She was ver welcoming and nice, the environment was very relaxing. Unfortunately, I got home from my appointment and noticed that my hair was uneven and she even missed some pieces. I trimmed the very noticeable pieces and I going to a new salon to get it all fixed. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.

I went to Luna Blu for massages for about 2.5 years. Hilary is amazing and helped me get feeling back in my toes. I highly recommend going to Hilary for massages.

I've had my hair done here twice and to be honest the first time was 'eh' and the second time was 'facepalm'! The first time I went to Luna Blu I had a nice hairdresser who talked to me and was engaging. She did an okay job, not the best for the price I paid though. ( you have to pay and schedule to have your hair dried. what?!) I decided to give them another chance and went back to get my hair colored.

This time I had a hairdresser who was not very friendly. She said little than a few sentence to me. I had the feeling that I was inconveniencing her ( even though I had booked this appointment a month in advance) She also double booked and left me with color on my hair while she went to cut someone else's! The red color that I was getting turned into a purplish color! Needless to say, I was disappointed with my second trip. This salon charges a lot for mediocre work and I probably won't be back.

I went to a few different salons when we moved to Oxford and wasn't very satisfied. I made an appointment with Hilary B. at Luna Blu and have been going there ever since. The staff are very nice and professional and I have always been pleased with the end result. The salon is very clean and they offer a lot of services. The services are a little pricey, however; the prices are comparable to other Oxford salons but with better results. They also offer promotions and discounts regularly. I definitely recommend Luna Blu!

I've had my hair cut in many different places and the only person who makes my thick hair look good (all I do is brush it every day) is Hilary. She always cuts my hair exactly how I like it and it always looks great for months. I've never been to anyone else at this salon but I can highly recommend Hilary!

I've been coming to Luna Blu off and on for over 10 years. I travel all the way from Cincinnati for their hair services. I've tried to find places in Cincinnati but nothing has come close to the wonderful service I get from Luna Blu. I've been going to Hilary and Emily for most of my hair services and they're wonderful! Their assortment of beverages, including the option for a complimentary glass of wine, is a wonderful perk and so appreciated by this momma.

On a personal note, when my mom was diagnosed with cancer, Luna Blu provided her with a wig through Luna Cares to cope with the hair loss. After experiencing their love and compassion for my own mother, I'm not sure I'll ever venture to find something else closer to where I live. They really treat you like family.

Everyone was very nice and the receptionist was very helpful;however, my highlights faded in two washes. If you're a college student I would recommend waiting until you get back home to get your hair done.a waste of time and money

I've always gone to Luna for +10 years of living in Oxford and feel it is the best in the town. The service is great, they offer beverages while you wait. Super great style and friendly environment. I wouldn't go anywhere else in town. I recommend seeing Emily for hair, she's very good at listening to what you want and actually following through with it.

Haven't had a bad cut from her ever. Only downside to the building I can think of is it gets cold if your there for several hours getting coloring done, so bring a jacket just in case! :

The back massage that I had was wonderful and very soothing. I wish the room was a little bit warmer as I had chills when my skin was exposed but I felt very comfortable and relaxed. Hillary catered towards my problem areas and was very friendly. Even though the service was pricy, it was worth it. However, the front receptionist quickly broke this relaxed feeling as she was extremely unwelcoming, unapproachable, and impatient. Didn't bother to ask me about my service, didn't offer to provide any additional information and simply stared at me waiting for me to leave. I do not look forward to coming again and paying so much if that is going to be my end experience to my visit.

The receptionist was nice, but my hair dresser, -Lori, was unfriendly and did not seem to be happy to be there. My hair was cut horribly, just straight across in choppy sections. Also, my hair color faded within a week and you can't even tell I got my roots done and highlights touched up. I have naturally curly hair and I did not have time to get it dried and styled so she put product in it which just made it frizzy and poofy. I would not go back to this salon especially not with Lori. I paid $92 for my services and I regret going to this salon.

Every experience at Luna Blu has been great! They have a very nice relaxing atmosphere. I appreciate that I'm always offered a beverage upon arrival & as my services progress. I typically see Emily for hair, nails & Esthetician services. She does a great job of listening to what I want & provides excellent service. Hillary & Serena are also great. The entire staff is very friendly. I recommend Luna Blu to anyone who asks.

I'm decently experienced with salons specifically for hair services, massages, facials, and pedicures. I have had all but the massage at Luna Blu and am currently scheduled for one for this Saturday. I've had Vicki for a pedicure and facial and both were absolutely excellent. I've had two of the hair stylists and both were amazing! Hair: They did exactly what I wanted and needed. I'm very weird about my hair and made that very clear to both.

I only wanted an inch cut off and that's all they did! This was on both occasions. One of those times I did the warm oil scalp massage and it was totally worth it. Go for the 30 minute not 15! Pedicure: I was a walk in for a classic pedicure. It was wonderful. It included a foot massage and the best treatment. Facial: I was also a walk in for this service and they did an awesome job! Vicki sat me down and talked to me about what I needed and my personal skin.

This IS an aveda salon. They use Aveda and Aveda approved products only! I don't know why anyone is saying that their products should be higher end. This is exactly what aveda should look like and be. They also use bumble and bumble which is an aveda approved product. I have gone to one other aveda salon and the pricing and service is the same at both.

I can say that paying can be irritating but remember this is a small salon serving a very large community. They have two waiting areas. There is one special for hair in the back and other services wait in the front. I did not find the water pitcher or anything for that matter to be dirty. They have excellent customer service and they definitely talk to you if you'd like to talk. But because this is a high end salon they understand some people just like to sit and relax and not talk at all.

I had acrylic nails done here for my wedding. 5 had fallen off 1/2 way through the reception. Staff was friendly, but I think the price was way off for the quality. I ended up wishing I hadn't wasted the money and had just painted them myself.

Walked in and asked about a waxing and nail color change, was told it would be no problem. After the receptionist flipped thru the appointment book for ten minutes, she told us there was just no way to fit us in. She never once left the counter to check with any of the staff to see if they had an opening. A waxing takes 5 minutes, and a nail color change not more than 10 minutes. Last time I ever go there. If you don't have an appointment, don't bother. Turning away customers is just bad business.

I must say for all the hype about this salon, my experience was terrible. My mom had gotten me a gift card for $80 to get some highlights and eyebrows waxed. When I finally got to my stylist she was extremely quiet. Every time I tried to make conversation she answered with one word. I like to chat while getting my hair done, and considering it took 3 hours to do highlights, I was dying for some conversation when I left there.

When she finally finished she asked if I wanted it blow dried, obviously I did? This is the first salon I have ever been charged $15 to get my hair blow dried. When it was all finished it look exactly the same as it did when I walked it. Overall not happy with my experience and will not be going back to pay $115 to get my hair blow dried and highlighted.

I went here to get an updo for a wedding & the salon was chosen by the bride. I will say I was happy with my updo, but the whole experience was just unpleasant. We arrived 15 minutes early for our appointments as instructed. Not sure where we were supposed to wait as there's only one chair in the waiting area. I checked in with the receptionist & was told my stylist would be right with me.

After ten minutes of waiting, I asked what the hold up was. I was told all the stylists were in a meeting talking about numbers. Finally after twenty minutes of waiting, my stylist came to greet me and seated me as far away from the rest of my party as possible. Maybe this was her station, I don't know, but the salon was completely empty. She did move me closer to the rest of them after I asked though.

We were in sort of a hurry with a 1pm wedding & this was made very clear to the stylists. My hair took 70 minutes (10 minutes longer than the length of the appointment) & I was the first one finished. My mother & the bride had previously had hair trials & theirs took even longer than mine. Trying to pay was just as frustrating as waiting for the stylists to arrive.

The receptionist was on the phone with a client whose hair had turned blue (actually an impt call), but this call went on for ten minutes. The receptionist easily could have processed my payment while on the phone or gotten one of the two stylists wandering the salon to talk to this client. This salon seriously needs to work on time management, build a waiting area or at least add a few more chairs, and get a new receptionist.

I have only gotten hair services at Luna Blu, but my experiences have always been good. I went to multiple stylists here, but have had most of my haircuts/colorings from Bobbi Jo, who is fantastic. I have quite curly hair and it can be a challenge to cut, particularly since I always want it to also look good on the rare days that I decide to straighten it.

I have never gotten a bad haircut here. When I have come in with specific instructions, she has done what I wanted and when I have just come in and said "oh I don't know, make it look good, " she has done just that! Every time I have arrived I have been greeted by the receptionist and asked if I wanted anything to drink and most of the time I was serviced on time.

The few times that I had to wait it was always because they were very busy, so the stylist was running behind and it was never a long enough wait that it was a problem. While this salon is a little on the expensive side, I find it has been worth every penny!

Treated my daughter and daughter-in-law to a day of "girly stuff" on very short notice last weekend. The Luna Blu staff were great about accommodating us on short notice and graciously put up with our foolishness. Hair cuts and styles, manicures and pedicures were all great. We all came away very happy.

I have used Luna Blue Salon twice for pedicures and manicures. I've had 3 different people so far and they have all been very good! I have been to several nail salons that I would never return to but I can highly recommend the ladies that have served me so far at Luna Blu. They were talented, friendly and very courteous. I've never used the hair stylists so I can not attest to their services but right now, I'm a fan and will continue to use this salon.

When I made the appointment at Luna Blu, I explained my hair style to the receptionist and asked for her to recommend a stylist for me. Upon arriving, I waited twenty minutes past my reservation and listened to the receptionist chat on the phone planning her night out. Unprofessional, but that wasn't the end of it. After the stylist was finally ready, I explained I only wanted an inch of my hair cut off.

I EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO THE TEE. I am very particular about my hair and with the level of detail I give to stylists, there is never a problem. She could not get it right! After nearly 3 inches of my hair was cut off, I was pissed to say the least. The haircut took way too long, was not what I wanted, and was not worth the money I was charged. I will never go back! Stay clear!
