Salon Nouveau Aveda Salons and Spas were founded over 25 years ago with our first location in South Bend, Indiana. Our calling was to provide transformational experiences to enhance the vitality of every person we touched in a luxurious salon and spa environment. Now with three locations in the Michiana area, we strive to share our Aveda mission.
All Salon Nouveau stylists go through extensive training in salon and through Aveda. Our New Artists have completed Salon Nouveau's training program and offer many promotional opportunities. Check online, on our phone app, or call one of our three salons for more details. If you are not 100% satisfied with any hair service, please let us know within 10 days to reschedule with the same designer at no charge.

Went for facial 90 minutes today. I was 6 minutes late at the time of checking. The aesthetician started after another 7 to 10 minutes, I was in the room. I was done including wake up and dressing time time in 60 minutes maximum. So if you want to count my time from the time my appt., I was at the payment counter in 70 to 75 minutes. Even aesthetician agreed that it was totally 80 minute in salon for the payments of 90 minute facial.
She was novice, spent minimum time for facial massage but over all, she was not bad or an average. Question, I have is that how can so called reputable salon can justify their action like above and reap off. Pay for 90 minutes for service of 60 minutes?

Had an absolutely lovely experience at the downtown location with Marie this morning! I got highlights and a layered cut, and was in and out within two and a half hours. I really appreciated her professional attitude and the way she captured what I wanted while still asking me for feedback and helping me understand what would look good with my face shape and skin tone. My hair looks so gorgeous and I can't wait to be back again!

I was really disappointed today when I went into the Heritage Square salon to pick up a retail product, but was treated poorly. I was told that I could not just walk in the store and I should have known to call and do curbside pick up. I was the only customer there and instead of just informing me for next time, the lady behind the counter would not let me grab the item that I was a couple steps away from and pay for it.
She made me go outside the building to then call her on the phone and wait for someone to bring the item outside. There was nothing posted on the door to the building that you had to use curbside for a retail product, only to call in if you had an appointment. I had a mask on and felt that policy was being placed over logic and customer experience in that moment.
I also went online and did not see anything on the website with needing to call in to pick up a product. I just think this was overall bad customer service and I've never had an issue like this before but it was quite frustrating to be treated like that. I think we have gone too far when policy and/or fear have trumped logic and being courteous.

Best massage I've ever had. Ashley is an amazing massage therapist. She is especially good at deep tissue massage. I was dealing with a lot of neck strain from so many hours sitting in front of a computer, and after a couple sessions it's no longer an issue. She also helped alleviate a lot of knee pain. I recommend scheduling this for a time when you won't have to do a lot of activity afterwards because you'll float out of the building in a state of total relaxation. Oh, yeah. don't forget to drink plenty of water!

Katie is amazing, I've followed her for years throughout her career! I live out of town and had a Selah Day Spa (recently closed) gift card that she let me use! Also, when I used the Selah gift card I got HALF OFF my wax. so thankful for her being so accommodating! She's offering this to all clients that want to use their Selah gift cards- which I think is amazing!

Tried making appointments several times, they're always booked out till several days later. Finally when I get a few days off work, staff suggested I would have to make two different appointments for a consultation and a hair treatment instead of having them both scheduled the same day. The whole set up feels snooty, would rather go to salon rouge, better customer service and the staff is more knowledgeable about the different hair treatments as opposed to their staff who didn't want to answer any questions over the phone.

I was gifted a 90 minute massage at this location and let me tell you: they know how to treat a client! I initially went to the incorrect location, but the ladies there called the downtown location to let them know I was on my way. Even though I was 15 minutes late, they did not dock my time at all. My masseuse found a few knots in my shoulders and worked them out very well. The soothing atmosphere melted all the stress in my body. I will definitely be visiting again!

Today, when I showed up for the appointment I had scheduled over the phone, two days before, they said that it had been cancelled. They didn't tell me and if I had cancelled it I would not have been there. No apologies from them. One time the stylist told me there was no such thing as a layered bob.
She produced a picture of a blunt bob and said "see, this is a bob." I didn't get the cut I wanted. The last time the stylist gave me an requested shag. It's taken a year to grow it out to a normal length that could be cut into a decent style. Several times when I've called, they've left me on hold so long that I ended up making my appointment a different salon. I'm finally and totally giving up on this place.

My experiences have been hit and miss. Each time I have gone for blonde hair coloring. The first time, the inexperienced (she had to keep going to the manager for advice) stylist died my hair gray, but was able to correct it to blonde. The second time, I had a great experience with Brittany - she was a consummate professional and my hair came out perfect.
The third time, the stylist dyed my hair brown and left the dye in so long (I sadly assumed she knew what she was doing when she left it in twice as long as previous times) that it was too damaged to be corrected. I now have to grow it out, have it cut and start all over. I will not mention the names of the bad stylists, but if after reading this you still want to give them a try, be sure to ask for Brittany specifically.

The only service I've had done at this salon is a shellac manicure, and also a spa pedicure, by Carly. She is fantastic. I'm super particular about my nails and I don't let anyone but Carly do them. I moved back to the area in May 2016 and tried other salons but they were not as meticulous as Carly. The shellac would fall off after a week.
A co-worker recommended Carly, and I told her specifically what I wanted and my problematic nails. She has been amazing since day 1. My shellac lasts two weeks, my nails have never been stronger or longer. Carly is young but very knowledgable about products and nail health; and super nice! I will recommend her hands down!

Been going here for nearly 4 years for both the salon and the spa. Overall a reliable spot for any service! Reasonable prices for the area and never disappointed. Lindsay does my hair and really listens to what I would like. Love her! She has changed it up a few times and I always like what she does! Plus they have a "color bar" with comfy chairs and magazines to wait while your color processes. Always happy with my hair cuts and color! The spa is also a great treat for massages and facials. Relaxing and clean, plus you get to choose your scents with your massage.

I went here for an hour massage (stress-fix). The massage quality was subpar and the masseuse used way too much oil. In the end, I was soaked in masage oil and none of my knots were gone. If you have an hour to kill and want to relax, simply go for a walk. You will save your money and will be much more relaxed in the end. I gave 2 instead of 1 star, as my masseuse was a nice person.
