So glad I had the opportunity to sit in Trevor's chair! He took the time to explain options on how to fix my color and gave me a great cut - my hair looks so much healthier! I won't be taking so long between appointments now that I can count on Trevor's talent and communication skills. He's the best!

As a man, we're told that pedicures just aren't for us. Boys let me tell you how wrong that is. After just one session with Alyssa I can't go back to not seeing her every 4 months. The atmosphere at salon serenity is quiet and relaxing. Treat yourself guys you won't regret it. A glass of wine never hurt either

Renee and her dream team are just amazing! You will definitely feel like a brand new person when you leave this salon and spa! Renee is a model salon owner, always beautiful, patient, and gracefully Southern. She is meticulous about the "little things" and has so many added touches to make her salon and spa above and beyond. I look forward to relaxing and chatting with Renee every month, and I have been her client for over 5 years!
She gives me the most perfect beach waves every time, and her Moroccan Oil products make you smell heavenly! Salon Serenity is a true gem in the town of Wake Forest- you will love it!

I had an appointment for 12:30 PM, drove for 20 minutes to get there, was kept waiting for 15 minutes only to learn the nail tech had called in sick and they didn't have a replacement. Rather than texting me in advance so I didn't make the drive, they kept me sitting waiting. Perhaps that is acceptable for some people, but for me that is not good customer service.
I should've been told in advance so I could move the appointment, or choose to go elsewhere at my preferred time. they left me scrambling snd annoyed. For sure I will never be back, and will tell my friends so they don't make the same mistake.

I had an absolutely horrendous experience with this salon. My first red flag should have been that scheduling an appointment online was a nightmare. I would book based on available appointments online, and then I would get a call from the front desk saying that no one was available during that time. Once I finally booked an actual time, they called me less than an hour before my appointment asking if they can move my time back by an hour because they were running late.
I booked a deluxe manicure online, and when I show up, the person thinks I'm there for a pedicure and looks extremely disappointed to find out I'm there for a manicure. Then, my manicure looks like a 5 year old painted my nails. I've never had such a bad manicure in my life. Also, my favorite part of a manicure is the hand massage, but the person said she didn't want to do the lotion because "even though your nails are dry, I don't want to mess them up".
That's literally one of the ONLY reasons I look forward to a manicure. Just seemed very lazy and an excuse to me. The worst part of the whole experience was, when I went to pay, I used a gift card. The lady at the front desk said I only had enough to cover the $40 manicure and that was all. She took the card and threw it away. When I told my mother-in-law who bought the gift card, she went into the salon and showed proof that she paid $80 for the gift card, and the girl at the front then suddenly confirmed that there was more money on the card.
I'm absolutely livid by the whole experience. Please don't waste your time at a salon that doesn't value it's customers and has some extremely sketchy business operations going on. It was so dysfunctional and unorganized and poor customer service. Would give 0 stars if I could. STAY AWAY!

This beautiful salon is a neighborhood gem! I'm so grateful I found it and should have come here first before two not-so-good experiences at other local salons (I was new to the area). I had an amazing experience getting my hair done here a few weeks ago and this is my definite go-to for all spa needs from here on out. Salon Serenity puts the customer first from start to finish - no detail has gone without consideration.
From the start, their new online booking system is so convenient and easy to use. I love that I can make my own appointments and that the pricing is up front. Other salons will state one price on their website and then gouge you at the end of services so I really appreciated this up front pricing at the time of booking. I also was provided a detailed receipt at the end of service (which has not happened at previous salons I've gone to).
The front desk receptionist Mariah is the sweetest person and so professional. At other salons there can be attitude and a stuck up mentality. But at Serenity, Mariah was so warm and welcoming. She even called me before my service to be sure I had booked the correct service for my needs. Wonderful follow through and very accommodating. The stylist I booked time with was Laura R. - pure perfection.
She recently moved to the area as a previous salon owner and with 30 years of experience. It totally shows. She did an exceptional job (fixing the bad coloring job of another stylist). The color Laura did on me was absolutely beautiful and she was extremely efficient with our time. She accommodated me as a new mom not wanting to be away from my kids too long and made me feel like it was no problem at all to get it done quick.
She still managed to do it in half the time with double the precision I've seen from anyone else. Even better she is just a top notch individual. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease due to her easy going personality, incredibly positive attitude, and high skill set. At Serenity they take the time to have a conversation with you, a consult ahead of doing any services and determine what you want at the time of the appointment (like normal people!) Other local salons required me to send in inspiration pictures and pictures of my hair just because I am a new customer to the salon. and then would let me know if they could accommodate my needs (for a simple color and cut).seriously. you can't make this stuff up!
That was too much work for me when Serenity makes it SO easy and enjoyable instead. It was absolutely lovely to go to a salon that is relaxing and ambient. Too many salons now have gone too stark and cold. The product lines they use and sell are absolutely wonderful. They offer a few different lines which is really nice. Thank you Serenity for thinking of your clients in seemingly everything you do! Can't wait to return for more!

Today I had the privilege of meeting my forever stylist, Laura! I have lived in NC for about 5 years, and bounced from salon to salon trying to find a stylist who just gets me. I went in to get some highlights, and after Laura talked to me, and really uncovered what I dreamed of for my hair, she came up with a plan. I walked in there today, ready for the normal cut, dye and style job, and left feeling like a brand new woman.
I have received compliments all day on how gorgeous my hair color is. For the first time ever, I booked a second appointment on the spot. I am so glad I chose Salon Serenity and met Laura.

Best salon and spa in NC! Heck possibly the world! I have been doing to this salon for year's and live all of their services. Renee, the owner is dedicated to quality service and products- she genuinely cares about each and every guest. Her salon is top quality - beautiful- luxurious and Spotless! My husband and I have had massages, manicures and pedicures and of course hair cutting services - truly the best of the best Friends, if you are looking for a full service salon - look no further - salon serenity is the place to be!

Wow. Never have I encountered such a "supposedly" upscale place with such poor customer service/relations. I had scheduled a hair appointment almost a month in advance, alerting the staff in my appointment notes that I have an allergy to a certain chemical commonly found in many hair products and to please check to make sure that the products being used on me would be free of this chemical.
The appointment was accepted, and I received my confirmation text 24 hours before my scheduled appointment to confirm, which I did. Imagine my shock when less than 17 hours before my scheduled appointment, I received a call from the receptionist telling me my appointment would be cancelled due to this allergy. I informed her that I have had my hair done there a few times before with that caveat in my notes, and that it had never been a problem there before and I asked to speak with the owner or manager.
Neither would pick up the phone to discuss with me or call me back. Now, had I cancelled within 24 hours of my appointment, my credit card would have been charged the full amount of my service, but yet they felt they could cancel within that time frame without it being a problem. Had they wanted to cancel as soon as I made my appointment or with a decent amount of advance notice so that I could make other arrangements, that would have been one thing, but to cancel the evening before a morning appointment, is totally unprofessional, inconsiderate, and just plain rude.
Their charging the price of a full service if the client cancels within 24 hours while they can cancel whenever they want speaks volumes. I travel a lot and have had my hair done at many other places with this allergy request and it has never once been a problem. I have never left a negative review, but with the lack of courtesy shown at this establishment, I felt it was important to let others know. Renee, this is in response to your answer to my post.
If you had taken the 5 minutes to get on the phone or call me back when you were available, you would not have had to write your rebuttal. You fail to address the fact that my appointment was made weeks in advance and cancelled at the last minute, and also that I have had services there before (with the same notes in my file!) and my allergy can and has been safely worked around. (I, too, care about my health and would not do anything to jeopardize it.) My advice to you and your staff is this: Learn to treat clients as you expect to be treated. We, too, have lives outside the salon and other commitments, meetings, appointments, etc., and cancelling a hair appointment that was made several weeks in advance (for a reason that could be worked out) on the evening before the appointment is unacceptable.
The owner's refusal to pick up the phone to discuss or call back when available shows her lack of concern for anyone's time other than her own. Had she done so, a solution could have been found that would have been acceptable to both of us. The 24 hour full service cancellation fee should apply both ways, not just in the salon's favor. No great loss as far as a salon goes though - the ever changing cast of stylists were fine, but nothing special. The convenience of the location was their main draw for me.

In summary: The company double dipped. This spa allowed me to pay for a service after 3 separate people prepaid for my services as a gift. The owner blamed it on the receptionist and told one of my friends that they should have coordinated with my other friends (she doesn't know them lol) to avoid the confusion. It took the owner 5 days to contact me about the issue and it was only after one of my friends called and had to give her my phone number. It's the lack of a competent system and integrity for me!
So I decided to book 2 treatments for my birthday at the spa (Thursday, Aug 5). Enjoyed the spa experience for the most part. Monsoon treatment was great and the facial was cool outside of the aesthetician being a little too forceful with the extractions. So I check out and pay with my credit card. The receptionist also asked if I wanted to leave a tip; I left cash.
I get home and Friend #1 asks about spa and then awkwardly asks if the receptionist told me that she paid for my monsoon treatment. I call the spa and the receptionist nonchalantly informs me that one of my services was paid for and when I asked her why didn't she tell me or give me the birthday note/card she told me, she thought that I knew.
Now even if I knew, she could have told me happy birthday because you know that's what spas normally do when someone comes in for their birthday but whatever. Later that afternoon friend #2 calls and after talking with her I found out she attempted to pay for both services but one had already been paid for by Friend #1 and so she paid for the facial and left gratitity after the receptionist offered for her to cover that. *Please note the system is showing prepayments accurately in the system when Friend #2 calls.
The next day at dinner, Friend #3 also tells me she paid for a facial. I called back on a Thursday and the receptionist told me the owner was unavailable and that she would contact me back. The receptionist called later and told me that I received a refund for my payment I submitted and I told her that there was still a service that has been prepaid by one of my friends that I didn't receive.
She said the owner would be in contact with me on Monday. I did not hear from the owner on Monday. On Tuesday one of my friends called to get things figured out. The owner told her "mistakes happen" "we've never had this happen before" "you all should have coordinated so this didn't occur". Yes mistakes do happen, but please don't blame my amazing friends for your system not showing notes and/or your staff's incompetence.
My friend told her that I hadn't spoken to her and she gave her my number and called me after they ended their call. The owner calls and was apologetic and was flooding me with the excuses. She blamed it on the new receptionist even though 2 of my friends got checked out by one receptionist and the other got checked out by a different receiptionist with a different name.
The owner said she didn't have my number on file correctly and called another number and left a VM. Mind you, the receptionist I spoke with on that Thursday had my correct number to call me back. Additionally the system sent me a text confirmation for my appointment. She then tells me I have a credit left on my account. I asked her how when my friends prepaid for the services I booked.
She said they actually purchased gift cards; my friends specified the service they prepaid so yeah, that sounded weird. She said "You can't prepay for a service, because what if you have to reschedule?" I didn't even go back and forth about something that literally every spa's billing system in the world can do. What annoyed me was when she took a big sigh and says, "What would you like me to do?" It's the fact that she asked that rhetorical question.
She reminded me that she had been a small business owner for 7 years. I finally, just asked for the remaining credit to be refunded back to my friend. It wasn't that her team made a mistake. It was the fact that they made multiple mistakes and it took 5 days to reconcile the issue after my folks had to reach out multiple times. It's the fact that the spa's seasoned receptionist was so nonchalant about her mistakes and lack of great customer service skills. It's the fact that the owner didn't call each one of my friends and apologize. It's the fact that the owner didn't attempt to offer a free spa enhancement or treatment for the mistakes. An apology sans the monologue of excuses and a discounted or free massage was all you had to offer to make this right. It's a shame because I've had multiple folks ask about my treatments and I was ready to refer them to your spa. Actually, one of my coworkers actually did book with you all after I told them about the monsoon treatment. Had my friends never told me they purchased the services. The company would have been twice and never told me. Renee, there is no need to respond to this, you had a chance to make it right.

Would give this place a zero if I could. Made an appointment for Saturday, 10 am. Got a migraine, so my husband rescheduled the appointment for the next day. Came in on time, the stylist was nice, asked what I needed done, I told her, she told me what it was gonna cost, I said ok. But then in came Renee, asked what was going on, took one look, said to the stylist that even with a waiver she's not touching my hair, proceeded to tell me that I'm going bald/damaged/broken hair, and to go get a light wig for summer.
Even continued to say that I had a migraine so therefore I'm on medication - what's this got to do with anything? Also made sure to bring another stylist in and told her let this be a learning lesson. except she was wrong. Let this be a learning lesson Renee, if you don't wanna do someone's hair, just say you don't know what you are doing, or just don't want to do it. Don't insult people by telling them that they are going bald, to get a wig, and that someone's on migraine medication, have a little more compassion, be more humble. Got my hair done an hr later cross town half the price NO WAIVER needed. this isn't skydiving

My young daughter and I had a great experience at Serenity! We got haircuts and mani/pedi's. Karen cut my hair I was so impressed with the way she truly listened to what I wanted and didn't want. Alyssa did our nails and not only did an amazing job but was such a joy to work with. They go above and beyond to pamper! From the front desk to the services, I highly recommend this spa!

I just need to say that this place is an oasis! I've been there several times now and have never had a negative experience! Everyone is so friendly and professional and the atmosphere is inviting, serene, and calm. You can feel the warmth of the staff from the moment you enter the building! Becca and Renee are often there to greet you as soon as you cross the threshold!
I want to make sure I acknowledge Cass who gave me an amazing massage, Allison, the salt and pepper shaker collector, who gave me a wonderful manicure and pedicure, Jordyn, who gave me a fabulous facial. Alex, who has cut my daughters hair and Lauralee who has cut my hair were A phenomenal introduction to the cosmetologists Who work there! They were friendly and energetic and so good at what they do!
Our next two appointments were with Heidi and Karen: I cannot say enough about how wonderful these two women were with my daughters and me! We all talked nonstop and loved the cuts, styles, and conversations! Plus- their caliber of cut was big city styling! I truly cannot say enough about this salon and spa! They are truly a cut above the rest! Love love love this place! I will continue to drive an hour each way without complaint to enjoy the services offered at Salon Serenity Spa - it's truly just that good!

Renee has truly created a magical, safe space where you can relax, be pampered and feel the heal! I just had the most luxurious pedicure at Salon Serenity Spa in Wake Forest! Allison worked her magic on my poor feet with rose essential oil wafting up to relax my mind! Beautiful environment - true serenity! Had a wonderful time at Salon Serenity Spa. All of the ladies where very kind and attentive. Jordyn cut my hair and did a fantastic job. I am so content with the job she did on my hair. She was very patient and sweet and looked at all of my photos to make sure she understood what I wanted. Alex did my manicure and pedicure and she did a fantastic job as well.
She is also very patient with me since I can be a bit piky at times but she was super sweet. Allison, the other nail technician, was kind and sweet too, she tried to help Alex and I find the perfect nail polish for my toenails that would match the gel polish for my hands. Front desk gal was very attentive and polite showed me around. I also met Renee, the owner of the spa, she was very nice too.
The place is spectacular and high end. She has all of the high quality products. I saw they have the Moroccanoil brand for the hair and another high end hair product. They also have available Image and Glo which those are the products I use on my face, so good to know I can buy them here. The door is kept close so the can let one person at a time and the front desk gal, I forgot her name :, she does a good job at monitoring that.
I saw both of my girls disinfect their working areas after they where done with me. Clients are way separated and there is no crowding of people. Loved this place and I will certainly come back.

I saw Kearsten for a haircut and hi lights. I love it! Kearsten is really good about listening to what you like and don't like. She took that information and made a recommendation for the best cut for my hair type and face. It's one of the best haircuts I've ever had! I highly recommend Kearsten as a hair dresser.

Renee and her staff go above and beyond for customers. My daughter and her new husband were going to be in town for less than 24 hours. They are both are in the Army and were passing through after several long weeks in the field. I went and made arrangements for a couples massage as a surprise treat. Renee and her staff gave them such awesome treatment! This Wake Forest business is just amazing.

I really dislike having to write this. I took two of my daughters for simple haircuts on Tuesday. They both had Krysten for their appointments. First, with my youngest, she had her long hair completely lobbed off, in spite of her showing Krysten a picture of how long she wanted it. Which was just past shoulder length. As if that wasn't bad enough, the cut was completely uneven, to the point of absurdity.
See picture. Then with my second daughter, she also has long, thick hair and had some matting in the back. Krysten approached me to let me know she needed to give her a $55 treatment to get out the matting, which I absolutely agreed to. She was extremely condescending and accusatory during her conversation to me. She lectured me as though it was her job to do so.
When she got back to my daughter after the treatment, she yanked her head constantly, again to the point where my daughter grimaced and let her know that she was hurting her. That didn't seem to make a difference. Krysten once again came out, took me out the dryer that i was under to do nothing more then lecture me again, she didn't offer any new information, she really just wanted to make us feel bad.
She spoke to me in front of my daughter and it was clear that she meant to shame us. I did end up tipping her 20%, not having known the true extent of what went on with my kids in my absence, but I tipped her along with the lady who did my hair and I usually tip her 20%. Once in the car, my daughter with the matted hair explained that Krysten was very rude to her and treated her poorly.
It didn't come as a surprise given the way she spoke to me. I decided to wait 24 hours before calling to speak with the manager so I could cool off. The manager Lisa called me back the next day and I explained the entire situation. I didn't yell, scream or act rudely, just master of factly gave her the facts of the experience. Honestly, I would have hoped for more empathy on her part, but she really reacted as though this was no big deal.
She didn't offer to make it right in any way, only said she would be willing to have my youngest come in and have her hair evened out. My daughter refused to go back even though I told her it wouldn't be Krysten doing the fixing, I can't say I blame her. She never wanted it that short and now feels like evening it out will make it shorter, which it will.
I really did like this salon and love the lady who does my hair and because of that I felt it was safe to take my girls there. Should you decide to use this salon, my advice would be to choose your stylist wisely. And just know if there is a problem, they will not bend over backwards to make it right. Unfortunate. Not good public relations for a small business. Renee (the owner) worked hard to get my youngest back in and make her hair pretty.
She was happy and smiling when we left, thanks so much to Heidi who did all the cutting. Thank you both so much, that meant the world to both of us, especially with school starting this week (and her beginning of middle school). Thanks for making this a great experience.

I was looking for a new salon/stylist closer to home since we've moved, but also for other reasons that I will describe below. I came across the reviews on Salon Serenity Spa, and upon calling for more info, booked an appointment with Jazlyn. I can't say enough amazing things about the salon as well as Jazlyn, but I am going to try to recount my experience: The salon is beautiful, inviting, and extensive.
The staff were ALL so polite and friendly, there is definitely a real "teamwork" style about how they operate, you get the feeling that you are everyone's client throughout your treatment. As for Jazlyn, she had such a mop of hair to deal with when I came in - my blonde was brassy, my ends were straggly, and I was just feeling in a "hair rut".
I have not had such an amazing cut and color in my life! I walked out of there feeling so relaxed and my husband was floored at the difference she made with my hair. We looked at pictures of my hair before for comparison, and he was astounded. What I think the most important thing about my experience (aside from my hair) was the fact that this salon and stylist cared that this was supposed to be a relaxing treatment.
Every other stylist I've ever had takes the whole time you're there trying to coax small talk out of you, to tell you about all the troubles they're going through, and tries to fill up the "dead air" (which usually consists of the same tired questions/conversation from your previous appointment). Until now, I've never had a "relaxing" trip to the hair salon, and certainly not one I look forward to.
At one point, I offered to hold a section of my hair so Jazlyn could go get another clip, and she said "no, thank you, but I want you to relax". *sighhhhh* She's a dream. The ambiance is incredible, the massage during your shampoo/conditioner is legitimately heaven, and the fact that everyone truly wanted me to walk away feeling refreshed made me a client for as long as I live in the area. If you're contemplating making a change, please try this salon and Jazlyn. It was absolutely incredible.

What an unexpectedly, delightful surprise. From the outside, you'd never guess how amazing this salon and spa is. It belongs in a 5star Resort. I recently left a salon as a longtime client. It was unexpected to have to make a change, so I was apprehensive. I did my research and read reviews across multiple sites. I also personally know Renee, but hadn't seen her in years.
They are busy! You can't just call and get right in so plan ahead. They won Best of the Best and I see why. Renee is a Master Colorist. I gave her my formulation from the previous salon, and she was able to do what I had. but BETTER! No bleach or foil was used, yet I got rich, multidimensional color. Extra care was taken to keep my long, colored hair healthy. Renee took the time to find out about my typical hair routine and my goals for the color and maintenance. Ambience: this is a full service salon and spa. Facials, massages, makeup, nails, skin and body treatments, you name it. Price: they are more expensive than my last salon, but worth dvery I've now been going to Salon Serenity for a year and have my color done every 2 months.
My hair is healthy, I always love my results and I almost always get a new color each visit so it's not just a touch up every 2 months. My husband and kids go here too. Not a complaint to be had.

I wish I could List no stars.*****WARNING***** Stay CLEAR. Of these people! Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had in my life! I finally grew my hair out after Patrick Previously cut it so short it took me over a year to grow back so I could wear my hair down. I've should have never trusted them again. That's only after I spent thousands and thousands of dollars there.
I went in, so happy that my hair finally grew out from the last butcher job that Patrick did. It was horrifying. I Made it very clear to Patrick to ONLY style my hair. Instead, he chopped my hair so short! never in my life Would I ever expect someone to do such a horrifying Thing to anybody. He knew My hair was at one time behind my knees. I never had short hair my life ever!. I've always put my my hair up, my entire life.
I couldn't even get it up what ever I tried. That is how short Patrick Butchered my hair! Again. This was after a years time that Patrick had previously butchered me! I told him, absolutely no cutting my hair just style it and color. I was so happy that I could finally wear my hair down again. I'm extremely well educated and worldly, I could have not have made my Instructions clearer to Patrick. so clear, in fear that he would do it again.
He didn't do it again.,. He butchered me 1000 % worse. He knew that I had a photo shoot the next day. Which had to be canceled. That's why they did it because they're just nasty nasty people! So the words gotten around. I never thought that he would've done it again, I would've never walked into their door. Patrick cut my hair like a boy!
I later found out that he had butchered so many women, people are and were whispering about him. As well as that nasty nasty owner. It was the same story over and over again they went in there and Patrick butchered them! At least the many women I spoke to you never went back and just shut their mouth's. But I'm giving you full force warning. It's been well over another year and it's still not grown out from the disaster that they've done.
I should have sued them! Additionally Patrick colored my hair as well, which is and was red. he decided on his own that he should make it dark deep black! They chopped off ALL my hair and then made it black! The nasty owner told me I should just keep washing it and wash it twice a day! Right. I'm going to pay them $200 and go home and keep washing it and wash it to get the Disgusting Color that he purposely did!
This is a warning to everyone. Please trust me. Don't believe the Bible crap! Talk about blind faith! These people are truly evil and hurtful. I'm still sick over what they did to me.sick! Go to Nora skin spa! The service is excellent and they have hairstylist in the same building that are so good! Although everyone I've seen says they can't help me because they just destroyed my hair.

This salon is a one stop shop. They offer haircuts, Mani pedis, massage, skin care etc. I came in for a haircut and Laura Lee gave me a complete tour before discussing my hair. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and layout of all the rooms and services offered. Laura Lee was delightful and I wouldn't hesitate to come back and try their other services.
