I don't write reviews often. I read them WAY more than writing them. However, after just a phone call with Michelle I am so impressed that I wanted to write a review. I am a mess as far as deciding what to do with my extensions. Clip-ins, tape ins, what color, ect. Overwhelming choices. I called Michelle for prices, options, opinions, guidance. She was PHENOMENAL just over the phone. EXTREMELY helpful, patient, knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, nice.

I mean the list could go on. Understanding how desperate I am, she was willing to open her doors for a late appointment. Who does that!? Not ANY other hairdressers I have came across. With me needing (wanting would be more accurate) to know what to do next she literally is squeezing me in between clients for a quick consultation and we will go from there.

Michelle knows what she's doing. Excellent cut, quickly. Extended stay in area. Both cuts were spot on, excellent.

Michelle is simply amazing! After another stylist messed up hair color (made it almost black instead of auburn brown), she spent over 6 hrs to fix the color without bleaching or burning the hair. And next day Michelle handled 2 year old toddler like a BOSS!

Michelle Mathews is a great hairdresser. She intuitively knows just what to do with my hair. I'm never disappointed. She is always upbeat and friendly. I highly recommend her and her salon.

Michelle was my stylist for more than a year. At first I really liked her. She made suggestions in the cut-style. I wasn't really sure about it although I gave it try (for a year). At my last visit, when I finally wanted it back to the way it was, in order to get her to do it I had to stress how much I didn't like the new style and wanted the old style back.

My highlights and trim usually took 1.5-2 hrs and I always left a tip. My final visit for the cut/style I wanted back and highlights only took 40 minutes. At payment time, I was charged usual price plus my usual tip was added automatically without asking me. The appointment length was so short; maybe she knew I wouldn't be back so it didn't matter what I was charged. I just thought I should share my experience.

It was apparent, from the moment I sat in her chair until the last fluff of my hair that Michelle is not only an experienced hairstylist, but also a best-in-class hair artist. I couldn't be happier with the results!

I recently moved from Austin to The Island & I've had the same Stylist there for 20+ years. I thought about making a trip back; just to get my Haircut, but decided to go ahead and find someone here. Luckily, I found Michelle! All I can say is WOW I just had my first appointment today and I think she gave me the best cut & style that I've ever had.

I showed her photos of styles that I liked and when she was done it was exactly the style & length that I had asked for. Michelle is very professional and skilled at her craft. She will be my "go to" girl in the future for sure. Thanks Michelle.

New to the Island, went to Michelle's Salon for the first time to get keratin treatment and highlights! I could not be more happy with the results! Michelle listened and took a lot of care in making my hair the best it has ever looked! She is also super nice, funny, and friendly! I highly recommend her and will be a customer for life!

Great place I get a hair cut from Roni great pal Very professional with great attitude and very experienced and gives great haircuts I used different hair cutters and no ones does the job like he does Also to mention very clean

Hands down the best stylist I've ever been to. Michelle fixed a botched color and cut I got a month before, and I'll never go anywhere again to get my hair done after the miracle she performed yesterday. If you live on Padre Island, I highly recommend Michelle's Salon.

I just went to Michelle's salon on Saturday for the first time and LOVED my hair cut. My stylist was Crissi Martin and she is the best I found in a long time. I wish I had taken before and after photos, but unfortunately I did not. I had gone to the same stylist for many years, he really knew my hair and made me look good. She is even better, she gave me a little bit of an edge to my look. Love her soo much, and would highly recommend her!
