KidSnips is a kids hair salon group, mom-owned business founded by a couple of women like you - parents who wanted to get their kids' hair done in a place that was easy, affordable and with stylists who actually liked kids, and knew how to cut kids' hair. And where parents could get a cut too, and maybe pick up a toy or a great hair care product and check a couple more things off the to-do list!
Once upon a time (way back in the late 1990s), two moms, frustrated by the lack of places for families to go to get a quality haircut, decided to do something about it and started KidSnips. Today, even after growing to eight salons across Chicagoland, they still own and operate KidSnips. They're in the salons every day making sure you and your children get the best possible service and have a great time, too!
As Chicagoland's Premier Children's Hair Salon for over 20 years, women-owned and -operated KidSnips is a great place for those who love working with kids. It's a family-friendly, fun and supportive environment when people enjoy coming to work every day - which is probably why over half our team members have been with us for 10 years or more.

I've taken my young toddler (not yet two) here twice for haircuts and I am so impressed with how well all of the stylists manage working with small kids. This location isn't super convenient to where we live but there is an abundance of free parking and I will continue taking my kid here until he is older and doesn't need to sit in a car chair

We have now been going to Joann three times and I just told her she will be Sully's forever barber even when he outgrows the race car seats! I never thought he would be able to sit calmly during a cut and she seamlessly made it happen! And now we are able to be in and out within 15 minutes, or less even! Our first few times, I dreaded the haircut because he was so uncomfortable but now that we have found Joann we will go nowhere else! Thank you for being the absolute best Joann!

Our experience was AMAZING! We were in Chicago for spring break vacation with our 5yo Autistic boy and our 3 yo boy with speech delay. Both hair cuts were amazing and the kids haircut went smooth. Joann did a wonderful job giving our 2 year old a haircut. Our son is very shy, and she helped ease his discomfort by cutting his hair while sitting on my lap. She also sang to him during the haircut - even personalizing the song to include our dog's name (to the tune of BINGO was his name O). We will definitely be scheduling our son's next haircut with Joann!

This place is great for kids haircuts! I took my 6 and 2 yos and it went perfectly. The stylists had patience and many techniques for my toddler to prevent meltdown. They wiped down the chairs and tablets and had Youtube kids ready to go. My 2yo received a very cute certificate and $5off next haircut coupon. My 6 yr old was styled so cutely after her trim. Highly recommend.
