JYL Craven Hair Colour Std

In looking for a Salon to braid my hair for an event, I came across JYL. When making my appointment I inquired about the cost for a simple braid (not an updo). I was told for long hair, it would be between 45-65 dollars. When I arrived, I had a short conversation with the stylist and let her do what she thought best for a side braid. I think she did a nice job & appreciated that it took no more than 15-20 minutes to complete the braid.

When I checked out, however, I was charged $110.00. I questioned the cost and stated it was just a braid, no cut, no wash, no color & was told "that is the price" I totally feel that I was overcharged, thus the reason for the 2 star review. I believe a shampoo & style would have cost less. In my opinion, the pricing makes no sense and is not in line with actual services. I would welcome any correspondence to explain/justify this unusually high pricing for the service I received.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I came into JYL Craven's for an appointment with Mark. I handed him the enormous task of fixing a bad haircut from another local salon. To make his job even harder, my hair is short. But being the hair styling genius that he is, he accomplished it! He did an outstanding job, and when I left, my hair looked great! Not only did he achieve this, but he is delightful too.

Everyone in the salon was friendly, helpful, professional. I am so thrilled to have found the perfect hair salon in Canton! Try JYL Craven! You will be glad you did! They get 10 Stars from me!

I went in today to get all over hair color and balayage highlights. During the time I was being worked on, I could tell the color was literally being "slapped" on my hair. I left with color all over my forehead. When I got to the chair to have my hair dried, the stylist acted as if she didn't have time to really style my hair and asked if I just wanted it blow dried.

For what I had to pay to get my hair done there, I should not have left with hair color all over my forehead and feeling as though she didn't have time to even style my hair. Needless to say, I was not happy when I left.

I want to start out by saying that I have been going to Jyl Craven for years and have never had a bad experience. However today seem to be the exception. To be fully transparent the top half of my hair is blonde and the bottom half is black. I was looking for more summer color so I called to make an appointment and told the receptionist that I wanted my black to be turned to Brown and my blonde to be lightened.

They scheduled my appointment at 6:30 PM at night and I asked the receptionist if that would be enough time because I understand with changing from black it could be a process. The receptionist assured me that this would be fine and there shouldn't be a problem. When I arrived the hairstylist seemed very apprehensive I did a consultation about my options.

She mainly said that I could only get half of my hair done and I can come back another time to finish the rest. I was a little bit apprehensive but I completely understand how somethings like this can be a process and this was the only option. I asked her to check to see the next time I could come in so I could get the other half of my hair done. When she came back from checking she brought the manager with her and the manager spoke to me like I was incompetent and did not understand what a color process looks like.

At first I was confused why she brought the manger back because I agreed to get the other half of my hair done another time. I tried to tell them that I understood and it felt like they were attacking me. They continue to belittle me and make me feel like I did not understand. It was humiliating. It caused a scene and it felt like people were looking at me as if I was saying no.

I ended up leaving crying. No color or haircut. The most upsetting thing about this entire experience is how much I was looking forward to getting my hair done for the summer and how much I up until this point valued them as a business. They handled the situation extremely poorly even though it shouldn't have been a situation and they could've talk to me like I was a competent human being. I will not be going back.

Chelsea does an amazing blow out. Not only that, but she listens to what your expectations are and is super knowledgeable with products. Sharon at the front desk is wonderful at making appointments and doing whatever she can to meet your needs. I recommend this salon. I am new here and am sure there are many wonderful stylists within this establishment.

I started going here last year after my stylist moved to Savannah. I had gone to him for years. Ivy was suggested and I have been with her for several months. She picked up on my color right off. We had to go through several cuts to get the style that I prefer. She has hit the nail on the head. It is important that I get compliments on my hair and I am now getting compliments. She's a keeper!

My experience at Jyl Craven was absolutely AMAZING! My hairstylist Cody did such an incredible job during the consultation discussing different options for me and what would be best to do to my hair with my specific hair goals in mind. On the day of the appointment I didn't even wait at all the nice girl up front had me seated immediately and offered me something to drink.

Everyone was so professional and friendly and the salon environment is very welcoming. Cody worked magic on my hair and I left feeling better than I ever have leaving a salon! I'll definitely be coming back to Jyl Craven and using Cody again!

First time at this salon and I would like to sincerely thank Savannah for being so patient with me. I am experiencing excessive shedding and thinning and I was really unsure of how to have my hair cut since I have never been through this ordeal before; not sure if it's Covid related or hormones (got a blood test, waiting on results). She was really sweet and patient.

I love how my hair feels and looks. She kept on reassuring me to be patient and to learn to love myself because this will pass and the hair with heal itself. She is a wonderful person.

This was my first visit to the salon. Nancy was so great. Very friendly staff. Nancy took the time to listen and talk to me about what I wanted and offered a lot of advice and information. Ansley is amazing. I've been going to her for years! She does my cut color styling ALL of it. My mother and MIL along with 2 other friends have been recommended to her; choose the best. It's your hair!

I adore Cody, he's an awesome person and hair wizard. Also.#wine. Yes plz. Products are L'Oreal and others in that family, though I think they may carry some others outside of that. Gorgeous salon that looks like it would be in a big city, Canton is lucky to have this forward thinking salon that is always keeping up with hair education and helping their team members grow in their career!

I'm so thankful that I found this salon! After relocating to the area 7 months ago it's been hard to decide where to go get my hair done. It's such a hard decision to start over with a stylist and it's always a scary experience! At Jyl Craven, from the second I walked in the front door, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The ladies working the front desk were so sweet and welcoming, there was a cute little retail area to browse while waiting on your stylist and it's just an overall good feeling. Then, I met my new stylist, Morgan!

I was randomly assigned a stylist when I made my appointment online but I'm so lucky that it was her! From the second she greeted me in the lobby she was bubbly, excited and so ready to get to know me! I talked to her about some hair concerns I have and overall just explained why I was there, to meet a new stylist and get a quick trim for now.

She was incredible, we chatted the entire time about so many great things and she just made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend trying to get an appointment with her! As far as the services go, the hair washing station is beautiful and more comfortable than any salon I've ever been in. The chairs they use while you're getting your hair done are also top of the line.

And back to Morgan for a second, but that wash and scalp massage was the best I've ever received. I could have napped in that hair washing station I was so comfortable! Overall, I had a wonderful experience both in the salon overall and specifically with Morgan! I'm so excited to have found my place here locally and I'll be a regular now for sure!

I've been to JYL Craven twice now. I absolutely love Chandra. She has done a great job with my hair. I have spent years trying to find a decent stylist. I've been to salons and I've been to the cheap places and nobody has done my hair as well as this place. I think my search is finally over. Chandra takes a lot of time to find out what I really want with my hair. Thank you Chandra and JiYL Craven!

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism Rachael is my girl! The cut and color I get from her is so far beyond any other hairstylist that has touched my hair.and she's friendly and knowledgeable to boot. Love the salon but, to be honest, I'd follow Rachael anywhere. She's that good.

Dec 2021- Danielle needed a male client for in-salon certification for men's hair. Started off with an evaluation followed by shampoo, rinse and scalp/shoulder massage. She took great care of me, my hair and beard. Their prices were surprisingly reasonable for a 'fancy' salon. Danielle's trainer is very experienced and gave Danielle good guidance using my input. If you're a guy they'll make you look good- if your woman is looking for a good salon do yourself a favor and get her there, she'll be glad you did.

The business owner and managers/instructors are great! I had a pleasant experience and enjoyed my hair cut.

I LOVE Mark & Chandra! Such talent. Been going to JYL Salon for years now. They're love attention to detail. If you walk in to the salon with an issue (dry hair, damage, discolor to coloring) they will fix what you don't like or recommend a product that will recover your hair. I won't go anywhere else.

I finally found the best salon and stylist after arriving to Georgia in September 2018. It's been an interesting journey. I landed at JYL Craven with Shayna! I love my hair, the care, the professional detail, the treatments, it is all around a great experience.every 4 weeks! Ha! The worst part of this review is the fact that I am going to have to leave Shayna and JYL Craven.

I am moving out of state. I'm excited about returning to my family, but I am not excited about finding a new stylist or salon. If you are searching for the best of both worlds, an exceptional hair experience combined with an atmosphere that works perfectly with creating a zen experience, then take my spot with Shayna at JYL Craven. Recently went to this salon for the first time. The staff was very unprofessional. I had multiple services booked, that they had forgotten about. They seemed very rushed throughout the process. I had high hopes for this salon but it did not meet my expectations.

Every time I come into the salon, I'm just blown away by the results when I leave! I swear they do magic or something because my hair always feels so insanely soft and looks just stunning every time I come in! I've had other hair salons end up not giving me what I want or breaking my hair, and I've come here and they've fixed it.

They made my broken hair look like it was never broken in the first place! This is the only hair salon I actually trust and will let touch my hair. I know when I come in, I am getting quality hair services and that they care about their clients. Amazing job! Just 10/10 every time! This is the only salon I would ever recommend to anyone. Other salons just can't touch them, in my opinion.

I've been going to this salon for 6 months. The facility is beautiful and pristine. The stylist I use is Blake. She is very knowledgeable and fun. My hair became suddenly very curly as it turned gray and I was at a loss on how to style it. Blake has been very helpful and encouraging. The salon is following all of the CDC guidelines. I feel very safe and comfortable there.

Savannah and her colleague saved my hair! I walked in last minute in VALENTINES day and they squeezed me in and made my hair look amazing. I wanted a 40s look and she rocked it.

After leaving a less than stellar review, I was called and offered the opportunity to come in and have another stylist at the salon salvage my rather bad haircut. Unfortunately, being the Christmas season, could not break away from the cooking, cleaning and preparing for my family coming for the holidays, and later in the week, meeting "old friends" that I have not seen for nine years for a luncheon on the other side of town.

The gesture was great, the timing not so much. Thank you, Jyl Craven Salon, for offering to do the right thing; however, again, the timing could not be worked out. You have a beautiful salon, and the personnel working there are always cordial and friendly.

So first of all I am SOOOOOOOO HAPPY! I love everything about my hair and the overall experience at Jyl Craven! When you walk in you feel the amazing positive atmosphere, it's calm, professional and relaxing. The staff greet you, check you in w/out any delay. If you arrive early you can enjoy the awesome collection of unique jewelry, wallets, purses, and bags for all occasions.

You can also browse through the endless L'Oreal product line knowing you will never be disappointed. Now onto the skills and experience of the Jyl Craven staff. I'm a firm believer in continuing education. Although hair design, color and cutting is certainly well outside my area of expertise, I know how important keeping current in your craft is.

As the Director of Education Mark Dotson is beyond a perfectionist. He is the epitome of excellence in his approach and delivery! He colors and cuts my hair, and makes sure I understand everything he does, and what I may need to strengthen and keep my hair healthy. Mark has a way of making sure that you are totally satisfied and your experience is the best - every time you come in. Im beyond thankful for what he does.

I want to also thank Carson, one of the most up and coming Rock Stars - oh yeah I said that b/c he is AWESOME! Carson assisted Mark during my visit and he was thoughtful, professional and very knowledgable w/ regard to the treatments that I was getting. Specifically, Carson took the time to explain the benefit of the Virtue treatment and how it would make my hair feel.

He is hands down the BEST for your 'in the bowl' experience! Carson's head & neck massage, and scalp rub were excellent! He's clearly someone, a young someone oh By The Way, who is definitely going to make a positive impact in this industry! I could go on about how pleased I am with every part of my Jyl Craven experience. They make my day and my weekend every time! Fast forward I started seeing Shayna for cut and color. She is the bomb! My color is awesome; I get compliments every where I go. Red is difficult to keep vibrant, but my color really lasts, I can easily go 8 weeks between appointments. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for!

Where should I begin? We told Blake we wanted my sons hair left longer on top and sides. We even showed her photos of what we wanted. He had ample hair so she said no problem. He was scalped. His side burns were so crooked it was laughable. I have pics as well in comments to show just how bad of a cut he received.
