Born Of Earth Spa

I was so distraught when Born of Earth closed. I went there religiously for 60 minute massages. In the pandemic I was hesitant to try a new place but last month I finally decided to book an appointment. I should start by saying their online booking is SEAMLESS (I only wish I could book multiple services at once!). It makes it easy to make appointments with the masseuse you want and in a time slot that works for you.

It also keeps your credit card on file and ties directly to your email and their system at the spa making your entire experience from start to finish so easy and relaxing. Now on to the actual service. I was SO EXCITED that Anna stayed with Artistex after the Born of Earth merger. She is the absolute best. Professional, personable, knows exactly the right pressure, and knows exactly when to talk to you and when to not (some masseuses are so chatty!). After my massage I was thoroughly stretched and relaxed. I now have a monthly standing appointment with Anna. Definitely check them out!

Beautiful salon, gorgeous private rooms and areas for nails, hair, etc and Ellie who did my mani pedi was awesome, lovely to talk to and also did such amazing work on my very bedraggled fingernails and toes, love the color she picked out for me as well. Lovely experience from start to finish

Had a massage yesterday with Jim. As always, the session was relaxing and effective. All my stress melted away. The salon followed all protocols without any stress. I will definitely be back!

I had a full spa day at Artistex and it was a very positive and relaxing experience. I was greeted by this professional and attentive receptionist. The place is modern and the rooms are completely enclosed and sound proof. I had a massage with Jim, which I can assure was the best massage I've had in years. I then had a manicure, pedicure, and facial with Maria, she was excellent and very knowledgeable. To finalize I had an amazing scalp massage at their salon. This place will definitely become my spa of choice from now on.

I have been going to Artistex for several years now. I love the new location. It is big, bright and very clean and spacious with lots of parking. Jamie does a great job with color and cuts. Amanda is an awesome esthetician. Odette the owner is very accommodating and always able to answer any questions. The staff is courteous. If you are looking for a great salon experience I recommend heading to Artistex. You'll be glad you tried it out.

I went in there last week for a manicure. A woman-not Judy-did my nails. They were chipping immediately and it was a gel manicure. When I went to pay, they charged not only $38 but $5 to take off the gel polish. Who does this? Salons do not charge to take off a gel if another gel is being put on. This is absurd. So, $44 dollars later-with tax-my nails are a mess. PASS

I have been coming to this salon for over three years now and I constantly get compliments on my color. I love the staff and am thrilled with the new location. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a change.

Great nail service by Judy! Quiet and private space. Pleasant and easy experience starting with booking an appointment through the services. But the manicure polish chipped within 2 days!

I went in for a mani/pedi today. The salon had sent a mailer to use for a good price on the combo. Even though the promotion was for a Mon-Thursday, they honored it, which was nice. Nicole was lovely and pleasant and picked nice colors for me. When I paid, they offered to re-book at the same promotional price, which was very nice of them. I will be back for the solitude of a mani/pedi!

Love this little spot. It's very cozy and Odette and her staff are super friendly, accommodating and casual. Jaime, my stylist, does such a great job maintaining my "over 2-feet" uber long hair (cutting, styling, conditioning, etc). People always ask if its real. IT IS, thanks to Jaime!

I absolutely loved my experience at Artistex. From the moment I walked in I had instantaneous relaxation, which is exactly what I look for in a salon! The atmosphere was so cute and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Jaime did my hair and she did an awesome job. I receive compliments regularly on my hair and they started before I even left the salon that day from another client! I will definitely be going back for all of my hair services - I'm very particular and I trust them completely with my hair. I 100% recommend Artistex!

I have been going to Odette for over 10 years now. I recently got highlights for the first time. I absolutely fell in love with the results. The salon is a sure getaway from reality. Its a day of glorified spa treatments that i could not get enough of. The personalized attention is my favorite. I have recommended Artistex to all of my friends and family. The compliments are endless.

I bought the Yelp deal to this place & glad I did! The staff is friendly & cheery which is nice because other places make me feel like I'm bothering them even though I'm the customer. I had my hair done by Dana, she was wonderful from start to finish. She definitely had her work cut out for her since my hair was on the damaged side & long. I got an amino acid treatment & my hair looked phenomenal when I left. It's been 4 days since I went & it still looks great.thanks Dana!

I love this place! The entire staff really was friendly and inviting. I was immediately made to feel welcome and the atmosphere was really relaxing (which is exactly what I needed) My hair has been in such a nightmare, and I really needed some help. The stylists walk me through some options and we found the one that was best for me. I could not be happier with the highlights and glaze, not to mention an amazing style!. Now my hair fabulous and I feel great. I know where I will be going from now on. Artistex is the place to be!

Not happy! Got there express keratin and it did nothing. Called and was told they do not guarantee their service even though it says so on line and they told me that in person. A far as I'm concerned I will or nit go there again. Would have been better off throwing my money out the window.

I am bummed. So looking forward to my 630 apt tonight for a mani/pedi groupon. Drove 30 min to get there. And the lady in front of me decided to get gels. Instead of having her come back, they made me wait. When it was 35 min past my apt I had to leave. Unprofessional and disappointing.see the review from the person above. I should have listened.

I purchased the spa manicure/pedicure package from groupon and must admit that it is the WORST manicure/pedicure I have ever had. It was not at all what I expected for a salon/spa in Westport. My nails and feet look terrible! The polish dried looking bubbly and I did not see any sort of disinfecting tools for the nail/feet utensils. The only plus of this experience was the nice technician, Nicole, who helped me. She was kind and did the best she could without access to the better equipment!

I purchased a special from Groupon for a spa mani & pedi. i went and must say it was one of the worse manicure & pedicure i ever got. the area where the service was rendered had used polish remover pads on the table, they had no disinfecting machine (i did ask). the girl was nice but wasn't good at her profession.the chair where one sits during the pedicure was poorly designed, i had to sit at the edge of the seat in order to reach the front (i'm 5'6 and my legs aren't short) sorry to say my experience was less than expeted. i was hoping this will be a place i can have my monthly pedicure since the woman that did that in another place moved.
