I got babylights and a cut with Natalie and she is truly a gem! I was in good hands here and the entire service is so comforting and relaxing here, I almost didn't want to leave! SINCE WHEN DOES THE SALON DECIDE WHEN YOU ARE HAPPY WITH YOUR SERVICE YOU PAID FOR? I had an appointment with the head stylist Star at Midori Eco Salon located at 225 W. Bay Dr. Largo FL 33770 on 4/20/22 at 11:30 AM I called because I was running 10 minutes behind and wanted to ask is I could still keep my appointment. When I showed up, Star proceeded to do half the services I was booked for, when I said something about it, she agreed to do do the color that was left out of my booked services.
It took several attempts to get my color good enough to fight traffic going home. I also was booked to have my.tape in hair extensions moved up as well, which were very uncomfortable and began to tear my hair. I called the salon to set an appointment to come back in and fix my concerns and I was told by the salon owner Aundrea, that the Midori salon had done all they are going to do for me and I should seek a salon elsewhere to fix the problem.
I asked for a refund so I could do so and no response was given. I have read several google reviews for this salon and it seems this isn't anything new as far as, talking down to the customers and over charge without guaranteeing their work. No professionalism! Very Rude!

I just had my first appointment at Midori Eco Salon with Natalie, and I'm so happy with how my hair turned out! I came in with a pretty brassy color melt and about 8 weeks of regrowth from another salon. Natalie expertly blended my color melt to the beige blond highlight/babylight look I was going for. It was a long process to achieve this look, but well worth the time. Natalie is a super skilled colorist and I'm so happy to have found her!

It was my first time going to Midori salon, and had my hair cut by Destiny. I went from long/medium hair to a very short pixie cut, and not only did she give me the exact style and cut I wanted, but Destiny and the entire staff were so nice and friendly, and the salon is absolutely gorgeous. Even while washing my hair before the cut, it was like I was getting a spa treatment, I was sat in a massage chair, and Destiny even gave my scalp head and neck a massage while conditioning my hair.
It was amazing. But wow, Destiny is an incredible hairdresser, she was so friendly and gave me the haircut of my dreams. I will never go anywhere else again, and plan to see Destiny for all my future hair needs. Even the price blew me away, for how pampered I was plus getting such an intricate hair cut, and by an amazingly talented and experienced master stylist too. I was even fit in last minute and was completely blown away from the fabulous experience I received at Madori Salon. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

DO NOT COME HERE or YOU WILL RUIN YOUR HAIR. MY HAIR IS DESTROYED AND THEY DO NOT CARE! I had not died my hair for over 6 years. I had fresh beautiful natural dirty blonde hair. I asked for the silver look and they did a partial top and bottom highlight. After the service I could NOT brush my hair AT ALL and I sent them the attached photos immediately.
My hair is a legit rats nest. After seeing the photos they just said my hair was "dried out" and sold me $300 worth of products (that didn't help at all) and sold me an olaplaex treatment. After waiting 2 months to go back because I didn't want to make my hair worse I decided that I should go somewhere better based on my hair still feeling disgusting.
After trying 4 salons, NOBODY would touch my hair. They told me I was one step away from my hair FALLING OUT. Four Salons said I needed color correction and there was no way they would touch my hair because it was so damaged and over processed. They told me I should ask for a refund after I showed them the photos of my hair right after I had gotten the treatment from Midori.
They said any reliable salon would be bending over backwards to make this right. Instead they told me I could have another complimentary olaplaex treatment after politely asking for a refund LOL I want to cry my eyes out for days. My beautiful long dirt blonde hair is not DESTROYED and my wedding is coming up and now my hair is yellow and completely destroyed.
And let's not forget I used to get my hair done platinum all through middle and high school with ZERO problems. Also the stylist even told me she just got out of hair school and she was already looking for another line of work. So theres that. No hard feelings because she was extremely nice but the manager and owner should be making this right.

Love Alyssa. She repaired a botched color from a very expensive salon and I left completely confident she is my new hairdresser. She knows color! And she repaired an embarrassing striped mess where another colorist overprocessed my roots. I received a beautiful gift bag for my first visit, could not have felt any more welcome. Super friendly staff and best shampoo chairs ever- they massage! So happy this salon was recommended.

Destiny is fabulous. She listened and helped me make a decision about what it was I was looking for. She is friendly and professional. The place is clean and the shampoo station with the massage chair was awesome. The head and neck massage was a nice surprise. My only issue was that if you use a credit card you will be charged extra. If I had been told, as a courtesy, I would have either paid cash or at least been prepared for the overcharge. I had to go 2 days in a row due to our latest hurricane so it was a double overcharge. I will be returning and recommending this place to my friends.

Excellent experience with Alyssa! She did full foil highlights on my hair and it turned out fabulous! Star, the manager, was wonderful too during my consultation. Love their new location near Largo Central Park and the shampoo massage chairs are great. I had gone to Midori Eco Salon previously for coloring and they did such a great job that I wanted to come back, as I love the service they provide and the high quality coloring products they use that don't smell bad or leave my hair damaged. I highly recommend them!

This was my first time at this salon, but I've followed Destiny from hair school! The salon is absolutely beautiful! Comfy chairs, and the washing station sold me with those massage chairs. Also, I can't get over how beautiful the bathroom is Destiny is amazing! I normally just get solid dark brown color and a trim but was feeling spontaneous this visit and threw a curve ball at her with wanting to add a pop of color and a drastic cut, and she delivered! My hair looks and feels better than ever!

My mom, sister and a friend go to see Dakota here, they rave about her. They've been going here for years for hair and massages in the past. It's been a while for me and now I'm visiting from out of town and wanted to see Dakota but as she wasn't feeling well I got Anny instead and I absolutely love my haircut. Anny was very friendly and helpful.
The products they use in your hair always smell so good like essential oils and I love their more natural and ocean friendly approach with their products. In the past we've gotten great massages here too.

As a bachelorette party, I personally scheduled the appointments. The quoted base blow out was 45$. At the time of the appointments I mentioned all of us having extensions. The price mentioned was approximately 60$. I think having different prices for different stylists should have been mentioned prior to arrival and check out. Although, the stylists themselves did lovely jobs, the communication was extremely poor and it was a downer on our night to start this way. One of the girls paid $100 for a blowout with curls which I think is outrageous ( I'm a hairstylist myself).

Hello, my name is Peggy. I just want to tell everyone how incredibly impressed I was yesterday with my experience with Midori. I live in New York and Midori was recommended to me. Last week when I made an appointment I told the lovely receptionist that I needed someone who knows how to cut short, thick hair and also needed my roots done. She recommended Marlie.
My hair was a mess and I honestly have 2 say she was fantastic. It's been a very long time that I got the beautiful cut I got 2day n my husband even said he loved the color. Marlie is a gem. I'm so sorry I'm leaving in 2 weeks. After what Marlie did 4 me I know that when I get home I have 2 find someone else 2 do my hair. Thx Marlie!

I've been going to Midori since August 2018 and I absolutely LOVE my experience every time I go. This is how you should be treated in a salon! From the minute you walk in, the atmosphere is totally calm and relaxing and it smells of lavender. Everyone is sweet and welcoming and goes out of their way to please you. My wait time has always been within minutes of my arrival. Products are recommended that will compliment your service, but they are never pushy.
I could go on and on. Scalp massage, hand massage, warm scented towels and eye masks! Ahh. I don't know what they could do better! Bravo Amber and your amazing team - you set the bar high, and you do it with grace and ease!

DON'T GO! Save yourself from the pain. I went with my wife to check out the services. The front girl was very nice and gave us a tour.extremely nice and clean. That's where the positive experience ENDS. Star had such a pompous attitude.and does not even know her prices when we asked. She said she was just under the Owner and "you don't want to know my prices or "number rating." Ended up buying a couple products and deflecting up sell after up sell attempts from Star.and about 10 minutes waiting for a receipt that 4 staff members couldn't generate.one stylist said she would email it.
Guess what! The next day. NO RECEIPT! But several emails welcoming me to Midori and asking for my reschedule for my "next" service. Unbelievable! My wife called and talked to Jessica who was able to send a receipt. Thank you. Then.the next day a VM from Audrey asking to schedule my wife's next appointment for hair service and to find out how my experience was. We did call her back and left a msg with a girl who answered the phone. NO RETURN CALL. I will repeat myself for added clarification. STAY AWAY.

The team here is awesome! They will take care of your every beauty need and all without unnecessary chemicals. You won't believe how much of a difference it makes to walk into a spa/salon that doesn't smell synthetic. My hair looks better than it ever has. I get compliments from strangers all the time. I have been going to Midori for many years. There was a time life got in the way and I missed several appointments. When I came back they were more concerned with how I was then how much I inconvenienced them. I have always felt like family, surrounded by the most caring pleasant woman I know. I can honestly say I have had every service that is available.
I have never had a bad experience. I've enjoyed their extensive spa selection with the highest praise to the staff and their professional, kind, and knowledgeable approach. I was in the market for a new salon and found this one in Largo. Needless to say I am still in the market for a salon, this one needs to get their scheduling and customer service fixed. Made my first appointment and arrived on time. They said they were running late somebody did not show up and it may be a while. I asked how long and how long for a haircut they said about two hours.
I asked to reschedule for the next day. Showed up on time the next day, signed in and had a seat. Twenty minutes later I asked about my appointment and they said my stylist is running 45 minutes later because her last appointment showed up late. She then tried to reschedule me again and said the next appointment would be later in the week but the stylist was a level 5 and her hair cut was $52.00, then proceeded to ask if I could afford it?!

Wedding Hair Nightmare: I am writing this letter solely because I do not want any bride to go through what I had to with my hair. On December 14, 2015 I had a trial run for both my wedding hair and makeup. I wanted to give plenty of time just in case I wanted to change salons to get the look I was envisioning. I had my laptop with pictures of exactly what I wanted for both hair and makeup.
I have really tight natural curls and would straighten my hair 3 to 4 times a year on my own and before I did I always made sure to put a heat protectant in and never had an issue. When I was doing my trial the girl did not put any protectant in and started straightening my hair right away. She was in charge of the wedding clients and was super friendly and nice, I have no complaints with her personality.
My appointment was rushed through because she had to take my hair down a couple times to get it to match what I wanted. She had an appointment following me so I was unable to have my hair they way I wanted it to be. At Midori they charge you the same flat fee for your trial as they would the day of the wedding, after I paid I was upset with leaving as I was not satisfied with what they did.
After washing my hair the next day about 90% of my hair was still straight. I gave it another five days and still my curls would not go back to normal. I called the salon and told the girl who did my hair and she said it would go back to normal and that I could come in again for another trial if I wasn't satisfied. Wanting my hair to go back to being normal before I tried again I waited 2 or so more weeks.
Still to my horror my hair was kinky/straight still. Meanwhile I had called to speak to their manager to see if there was something she could do and they never got back to me so I went in person. When I arrived at the salon to show them my hair the receptionist was horribly rude. Stating that the girl that did my hair is specialized in curly hair and that it must just be my hair.
She did not hear me out and was so belittling in front of other customers I was in disbelief. She said they provided services so she didn't see why I wanted a refund. I again pointed out on my phone how my hair looked before they burnt it and she said it was not their fault. That is when I demanded my money back and she rudely asked for my card and was only going to give me a portion back.
I insisted that my hair is ruined for my engagement pictures, not to mention wedding, and she then said she would give me only the money back for my hair trial. At this point I had three months until my wedding. If they would have just apologized and said they are sorry for what happened there would be no need for this letter. No bride should ever have their hair burnt before their big day and secondly they should not be talked to in that manner when it wasn't even my fault.
I had a horrible experience and had many tears, it was not just how I was treated but the damage that was done to my hair. Anyone who has curly hair knows how long of a process it is to grow. My hair was so brittle and fried after my appointment there that it is just now, a full year later, healing and returning to my normal bouncy curly hair. I originally wrote this letter in December 2016 but did not want to publish it and deal with any drama.
However every time I get emails from their business it brings up all the emotions from that experience. I have a tainted view and horrible experience all because of how the receptionist acted. My hair eventually healed 95% only after a year and three months, however her actions were unprofessional and will be remembered for a lifetime. I do not refer anyone to that salon because of her and the experience I had. I'm sorry she has ruined my view of your company, as she is the face of your organization and should have made it a memorable experience ending in a positive light, instead of negative one.

I was in desperate need of a massage and wanted to find a place close to my house. I turned to Yelp, but saw this place didn't have many review on her. So I turned to Google and saw that this place had 85 reviews and a perfect 5 stars. Well, after my experience this afternoon, I concur Google! I signed up for a 90-min massage with Charity and arrived 10 mins early to fill out the usual paperwork that goes with a massage appointment.
When she came out I have to admit I was like "that tiny girl, really?" But wow was she strong and wonderful! I absolutely loved every minute of my relaxation massage and she even worked out some major knots I have in my neck and shoulders. The atmosphere of the place was super relaxing from the minute you walk in. The separate area for spa services vs hair cuts is a nice touch.
The room was a good temperature, dim lighting, and lovely nature music. I already booked an appointment for my boyfriend for a massage and a hair appointment for myself. Will definitely be back and will be recommending to my friends! :- --------- Update: Charity, the masseuse, is no longer there and I'm very sad. She was amazing and made me feel so calm and relaxed.

I had a horrible experience here. I called to make an appointment. I asked to block off 4 hours, because I know my hair. It's down to my butt. I asked for full foil, and all over color. The price quoted was $250. Expensive but it's organic so I thought maybe worth it. I get to the salon and during consultation I'm told she only has 2 hours.
But can run some color through a few strands in the back that were a little dark. I agreed because she was the "professional". She did exactly what she said. With gloves she put color on her fingers and ran it through, picking out pieces she thought were "too dark". I thought it was some new technique. I didn't know, I am blonde and was working from my chair.
No foils were used. No color brush. My roots weren't done. She washed me out and asked me to reschedule for more time. She said she would do everything I was asking and include a free hair cut when I return. I was then was asked to pay $200? For what? There was no difference in the before and after. She ripped through my hair with a brush. No styling.
Then had the balls to say my next visit would be $250. I paid and left. Very angry. Then I get a call a week later saying they are handing me off to another newbie because the one i had was gone. I went to another salon down the road and they couldn't believe my story. They even laughed it's so outrageous.

Best Salon in town offering 3 locations in Largo, Clearwater and Pinellas Park. The owner, Amber does my extensions and color. The hair quality of the extensions is the best I've ever had and the extensions last longer only having to replace them every 6 months if that! Originally being from Dallas (the land of big hair) I highly recommend Midori
