I had not been to the salon since I was probably a teenager. Over the years I tried going to places that I thought were more in my budget but they were never worth it. I would leave with haircuts I hated and then not want to come back for over a year. Finally, I was ready for an appointment at Gary Charles again. And let me tell you it was phenomenal.

The stylist was very careful to make sure we spoke about everything ahead of time and I ended up really liking some of their ideas and going with a version of the haircut that I had not previously thought of. I absolutely love it! I was going to go for a duck butt but I'm loving this undercut! Thank you very much! ( I forget the stylist name but they were extremely professional and you could tell they have 20 years of experience under their belt even if I did think they were younger than me at first. :) Also worth noting that over the summer I brought my partner to get his hair cut and Gary did a phenomenal job. When asked where to go this is the only place I could think of and I'm so glad I made a return!

Salon is very nice. I always feel like I'm being taken care of when I'm there. I always love my color and cuts from Becca and Lauren! If I tell them I have a special event to go to, they make sure to go the extra mile to make sure I look extra special!

I usually go to a local salon but they cut back their staff and hours after Covid. It's been hard to get an appointment. So my daughter and I went yo Gary Charles, even got to meet the man himself. While he was nice, I felt my stylist was kind of cold. She didn't listen to what I wanted and left me underwhelmed with my haircut. Honestly, it didn't look like she did anything.

My daughter liked her stylist but was also meh. Plus, they charged me more (60 for me, 50 for her) which was ridiculous for what they did. Overpriced and the experience was so-so. The front desk staff was nice though

She probably gives me the best haircuts I have ever had. She listens to exactly what I would like. She is also very pleasant and personable. I drive 25 miles each way to see her- totally worth it! I should of left Natalie a bigger tip, she did an amazing job on my daughter's hair absolutely awesome. Another woman did her makeup and I was not happy. I did tell her that too. My daughter is 18 and going to prom there was no need for her cover up to be so dark and her cheeks so yellow. Her eyes were beautiful but did not like the rest.

I typically do not write reviews but I have to share this experience, I would never want someone else to go through this. First of all, I really wanted to love this place. I heard good things, so I wanted to try it out myself. They were friendly, the place was clean and I was so excited for my new hair. My coloring session was quick, but my color is a bit off from what I asked for.

I also had about a 25 minute wait after for a blowout. Unfortunately I walked out with frizzy untamed hair. My hair is prone to frizz but hair stylists before this have always managed to tame it beautifully, so I was so sad to walk out like this. I still have remains on a gift card but there won't be a next time for me. I have a patch of hair that is a different color than the rest of my hair.

I watched my hair break off like never before during a blow dry and unfortunately the minute I got home I had to wash my hair because it looked so bad. It really stinks when you go to a beauty salon to come out looking beautiful, yet you come out not only looking but feeling terrible. Really wanted to like this place.

Lauren gives the best devacut! It's affordable in comparison to other salons. Gary Charles & Associates is such a clean and vibrant salon. Would recommend for my curlfriends and more.

This place is great and the people are so friendly, it is kinda expensive but worth it! I got my hair done today and I love it , they take their time and work with u until u find exactly what you are looking for, Klippers is ok but I won't go back! The girls are super kind and nice and make u feel at home, offering u water and other things, the place is beautiful!
