AMS Salon & Lounge

Since moving from NYC 5 years ago I have been going to AMS and absolutely love this salon. I wear my hair both curly and straight and the way Amelia does my balayage and Alex cuts my hair is literally perfect for both styles. Amelia is incredibly talented, super fun and very sweet. I love how she talks through things with me and makes me feel comfortable.

My color is always absolutely gorgeous. The way Alex cuts hair is truly a work of art, not to mention he is very warm and thoughtful - remembering our conversations from previous appts. I receive so many compliments from colleagues, clients, friends and family. The salon itself is beautiful, feels very high end and everyone that works there is incredibly professional and friendly. Thank you AMS for making me feel beautiful! This salon truly deserves the 5 star rating.

I cannot reccomend AMS enough. Megan and Gail were wonderful and very knowledgeable. Megan restored my hair to it's natural color after I bleached it into oblivion, and Gail fixed my botched haircut. I will never go to another salon and I am looking forward to booking a bridal consultation. You will not regret coming here!

I have been coming here for a few years now. It is so hard to find a good place to get your hair done. I could not recommend them enough. Megan does an incredible job with color and Alex is a magician with styles and cuts. I really see no reason to go anywhere else.

I have been coming to AMS for several years. I travel back from New York City every few months to see Alex for a haircut, and Megan for highlights. Having lived in both Philadelphia and New York, I have never found a better salon. Both Alex and Megan are masters at their trade, and I am now in love with my hair. The salon is warm and welcoming, and the entire staff is great. This salon is a true gem.

A wonderful experience from start to finish. Megan started with me on color, talking me through her process, explaining along the way what she was doing, and why. She clearly knows exactly what she's doing when it comes to color. She's also absolutely lovely and easy to talk to - like you're old friends. We chatted it up the entire appointment! Alex is a bit more quiet, but it's because you can see the wheels turning in his head.

He looks at your hair like a blank canvas and then goes at it with the scissors in such a dramatic fashion.it's literally watching an artist at work! Fantastic stuff. I was blown away at his technique and how he could completely transform a head of hair, with just a few snips. His eye for matching the right hairstyle to your face is second to none.

I also felt absolutely welcome there. It's clearly an upscale salon, but they make you feel comfortable and at ease. I would definitely go back and recommend them to absolutely everyone.

Excellent salon. Beautiful, bright space. I see Gail for a simple hair cut every 4-6 months and she is wonderful. She is quick and efficient but I still feel like I have her undivided attention. The whole team there is very friendly and accommodating when I need to schedule an appointment.

I have been coming to Megan and Tasha for over seven years, and I have never once been disappointed! When I first started coming to AMS, my hair was blonde and very damaged. Megan is THE BEST colorist in the city! She was able restore my hair to a gorgeous healthy, brown color! What I love most about Megan's color, is that she is able to color my hair so that it looks so natural!

She consistently does an amazing job! Tasha gives THE BEST cuts and blowouts in the city! She listens closely to exactly what type of cut I want! She blows my hair out with such fullness and bounce, I love it! I am often stopped and complimented on my hair, and these two wonderful ladies get all the credit! I HIGHLY recommend trying AMS! You will definitely leave thinking, #youlookbeautiful!

I've had my hair done a few times by Miss Amelia Cooke. To say she is a master of the art is an understatement. I have had several people over the years do my hair. But, Amelia, has a way of making you feel like you are doing something for her. She takes such pride in her work. It's impossible to be a recipient of her service and not become impatient waiting for the next time.

I've had my hair cut and colored (two times) and I am still in shock that I looked the way I did. She transformed me and gave me such a confidence boost. I've known her many years and it's amazing to see where she is today. Honestly there aren't enough stars! So I'll give her 5 :)

Fantastic service: - amazing colorist Megan did a beautiful job with my color! and best haircut by Alex, who is super nice, patient and just knows how to cut hair, not to forget the best head massage when being shampooed by Anthony. I will be back for sure. :

I've been going to Megan and Alex for years now. There's a reason they have been written up in magazines nationwide for their services. I now drive 1 1/2 hours to have Megan do my color because I cannot find anyone closer who does as good a job. If you're used to paying for professional cuts and color, the prices are not outlandish. I've paid far more for the same outside of Philadelphia, and frankly, the color lasts much longer because it's done properly. I've referred several people to AMS over the years, some close and some far, and all continue to be happy with the results. I'd highly recommend!
