When I first moved to the area over 2 years ago, I was worried about finding a new stylist as I am very picky about my hair. Thankfully, I found this salon and Patty, after meeting with another stylist (not affiliated with this salon) that luckily did not touch my hair. Everyone in this salon is friendly and professional. Patty is absolutely magnificent with color.

She not only started off doing the same color combination that I was used to, but she has since adapted it to my wants and hair needs (stubborn greys). I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience here. She is always able to accommodate my time restrictions. I will never trust any other place with my hair. They are definitely the best and very reasonable for the area.

Jenny Deleeuw is amazing! The cut and color AND style have never failed me. She listens to exactly what I want and delivers! My daughter, who is very particular about her hair, was delighted after Jenny cut, highlighted and styled. My hair has been so damaged due to bleaching from years ago. Jenny has made it come back to life! I definitely will be a life long client!

Got a man's haircut for $35. He asked me lots of questions to make sure I got EXACTLY what I wanted. This place is worth the little extra in comparison to going to a barber and having to convince the guy to give you a short cut. LGBT friendly! Ask for Justin!

A friend recommended Gillian to me, so glad she did. I asked her forever who was making her look so fabulous. I went into Gillian with high expectations, I had a mess going on. a lot of brass, multi colors and multiple bad cuts. I basically went in and begged for her help. Saying please help me become the ash blonde I've been dreaming of, that other stylist keep promising and leaving me with more of the warm tones I didn't want.

She delivered. Great color, great cut that I can wear curly or straight. Great experience every time I go! Love my blonde now, so happy with it. I may have cried a little I was so happy.

Cassie Steele is a gem. I recently went to a very upscale Park Avenue wedding in NYC and the stylists were ALL asking me who did my hair! She understands all kinds of hair - normal - fine hair, curly hair, and all sorts of difficult to style hair - and she is an amazing colorist. She is the best!

I visited this salon for the first time and had an appointment with Tiffany. She is the BEST. I recently had highlights that I wasn't happy with at another salon and Tiffany was able to completely transform my hair! I am so picky about who does my hair because I'm afraid of the result, but let me just say Tiffany nailed it. I would highly recommend her, she takes her time and thinks through all the steps meticulously, so you end up with perfect color. She will be the best stylist you've ever gone to!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Cassie at Hair Savvy is superb stylist! We are bi-coastal and any time I'm in VA, Cassie does my hair! She just "gets" it! Great highlights, cuts and updos! Ask her about a base break as well. It bridges the "grow out gap" between highlights! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is a salon where the stylists rent a chair. This review is specifically for Cassie. I have long straight dark blonde hair. In my twenties I made the mistake of just going to nice salons and taking whatever stylist that was available. I thought my hair was as simple as you could get. As you can imagine, I had some serious hair disasters. I soon learned how important it is to find a good stylist and develop a relationship.

This is harder to do than you would think! Cassie is the best stylist I have ever had. She is great with both color and cut, which is hard to find. She is also the most consistent stylist I have ever had. also hard to find. Lastly, she is very reasonably priced for the area. She was even nominated as one of the best stylists in Loudoun County. Oh, and she gives you a nice massage during the shampoo.

Who doesn't like a scalp massage! Previously I have had problems with highlights that are more orange/gold than blonde and don't look natural. Cassie's color always looks natural. She does the right amount of larger and smaller chunks of color to make it look even. If you get partial highlights she also does a great job of highlighting the entire crown and front (not just the very top).

My hair has been thinning as I get older and she's also done a great job of giving it some much needed body with the cut. I suggest bringing pictures. Once, in my past, I asked for chunky highlights and walked away with two huge 2 inch racing stripes going down the sides of my head. (Not Cassie!) Hair Savvy the salon is a nice place. It's not super posh. They're not going to offer you wine and cappuccino. There's not a spa-like waiting room while you're processing, but it does have it's own unique personality with little touches like antique dressers for each of the stylist's stations. It can get a little drafty, so bring a sweater.

Not a bad place but not a great place either- especially for the price. $65 for an average haircut isn't a good deal. I think I'll stick with my $60 (no tip accepted) location in Clarendon.

I have always believed when you find a hairdresser you like you stay with her or him. I have gone searching high and low for a great one here in Northern VA. Had some good ones but never exactly what I wanted. UNTIL.I walked into Hair Savvy and found Tiffany. I swear by her. She is friendly, listens to what you want and will make a suggestion if she thinks it may be better for you.

She has been spot on every time for me. I recently went from blond to auburn. It was a leap of faith and Tiffany held my hand by choosing the perfect colors to make one great color. I have gotten at least 50 compliments on it today. The entire salon is friendly and a nice experience all around. It's lively with fun music playing and there is alwasy a smile and a beverage waiting for you. I recomend Hair Savvy and recomend seeing Tiffany.

BRIDES BEWARE! I went to see Tiffany for a trial up-do for my wedding. I waited 30 minutes for my appointment in the waiting area and unfortunately, she did not have the correct bobbi pins to hold my hair up for the trial. My hair began to fall out less than an hour after I left. Although I was assured that this would not happen on my wedding day, what was the purpose of the trial if I could not actually test it out as a real trial?

I called on Tuesday when they were open again and left a message for the manager to please call me back. Two weeks later, I had not heard back and called again. Both times that I called, I did tell the receptionist that I although Tiffany was really very nice, I was not happy with my hair and would like to see if there is something else that we can work out since I spent $110 on a trial that was incomplete.

This is why I will NEVER go back and I highly suggest that any bride go elsewhere for their hair- The manager (who was apparently Tiffany's mom) called me screaming. She told me that they "do not guarantee hair" and that "it was over 100 degrees" on the day that I got my hair done. I explained to her that it was not 100 degrees, especially since my appointment was in the evening and that I had pictures to show my hair if she wanted to see what happened.

I also told her that I found someone else that I was more comfortable with to do my up-do for my wedding. When I asked if there was some other way that I could be compensated for the money that I spent, she told me that "they aren't in the business for giving away free services" and that my pictures "could have been taken 5 hours later" implying that I was lying.

I told her that as a bride I have so much to worry about that being treated this way was unacceptable. Eventually, she hung up on me and told me that she would do nothing. The bottom line is that if you visit- pray that your hair comes out the way you wanted because should you have a complaint, they are unprofessional and do not "guarantee hair."
